The Manwhore Versus The Maneater

Finn McManus thrives on his reputation as a player's player – a term that has nothing to do with his years as a professional athlete. A notorious flirt and ladies man, the handsome, charming retired football player rarely dates a woman more than a few times, and shies away from relationships like they were a contagious disease. And despite

I really enjoyed this book. I’m reading them a little backwards as “the player gets coached” is actually the second book in the series. I will be starting book one this week. It didn’t seem to make much difference though, I would say you could read each one as a stand-alone.

The story pulled me in from the first chapter. I loved the authors writing style.
5* from me for a great fun novel!

There are just no words for how good this book was! And that is really saying something with the amount of books I read. I have loved everything I've read by Janet Nissenson but this book was the absolute best ever! We all know that the chemistry rocks when opposites attracts but what happens when two people are similar in ways they don't even realize? Well, meet the man-eater and the man-whore. Yes, you read that ri

The Player Gets Coached by Janet Nissenson is book Two in the Bachelor series. This is the story of
Delilah Ferris and Finn McManus. I have read the previous book (and Loved it!) but feel you can make this a standalone book if you wish to do so.
Delilah sets the rules and is in control of relationships...when she has the time. Delilah does work to stay clear of men who where like her father. Delilah does find her neighbor Finn in that category. Delilah is working to bring her clothing line forwa

The Player Gets Coached is book two in the Bachelor trilogy, and this is Finn’s story. Best way to describe Finn is an egotistical, manwhoring, slob with a heart of gold. There’s definitely more to him that most people see, and his two best friends from college – Jordan and Max – know this better than anyone. The friendship between these three men is really something special and genuine, and I really enjoyed reading about their connection and how they are always there for each other.
And Finn doe

4.5 Stars for The Player Gets Coached which is book 2 in the bachelor series although I do belive you could read this book as a stand-alone and still enjoy it.
Finn McManus retired NFL football player that now spends his time traveling around as a broadcaster for the sport he loved, he makes no excuses for being a self confessed man whore and his reputation as a players player has nothing to do with his athletic past, he is man who can charm the panties of any woman he sets his sight on well that

Wow! I've volunteered to review this book for United Indie Book Blog. This is my first time reading one of Janet Nissenson books. This is book two in the Bachelor series. This is the story of Delilah and Finn. Finn McManus retired NFL football player that now spends his time traveling around as a broadcaster for the sport he loved. Delilah is a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after it. The chemistry between them is sizzling, and the banter is witty. I was hooked into each ...more

4 star Review of  The Player Gets Coached (Bachelors #2) by Janet Nissenson

Wow Finn McManus really is a man who gets around, an ex NFL player who is now a broadcaster, he has no shortage of women who want to be with him. As long as they realise that it is temporary everything is fine.
Delilah Ferris is a woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to go after t. As longs as she is in control their will not be an issue. Totally focused on building her her clothing line she doesn’t have time

I don't think I can even put into words how much I enjoy books written by this author. Timeless and epic and the words that come to mind. The writing style and descriptive nature as well as the amazing character building and how characters from other series make appearances and fit right in. I also know that I am in for a whirlwind of a ride when reading one of Janet Nissenson's book and Finn and Delilah's story was no different and wonderful in a way that wasn't the same as the other book in th ...more

Thoroughly entertaining book, was hooked in right from the start. Finn is a surprisingly lovable, sort of goofy character and he end up maturing a lot during the book. Delilah was a little tough to figure out for awhile, but once I learned more about her background and what made her the way she was she became more likeable and I admired her toughness and independence. Lots of funny scenes, especially between Finn and his friends. Can't wait for Max's book to finally find out his secrets!

This was one of the most enjoyable books I can remember reading in a long time! It was filled with great characters, engaging dialog, and a plot that kept me wondering till the end about how the story would turn out.
Finn McManus is a manwhore extraordinaire, happily going through life without a care in the world. He's handsome, sexy, famous, and rich, but lately his friends and family keep pointing out that he's almost forty and still acts like he's in college. But Finn insists he likes his life

Finn, the manwhore and one of the three amigos, is used to being the center of attention as a frat boy and former professional football player; he's fighting off women left and right and taking a new one to bed every night...that is until he meets his new neighbor, Delilah.

Delilah is this petite fashion designer that has a new budding business that she is CEO of and trying to make it big. She's beautiful and has guys bidding for her attention all day every day. She's been dubbed "the maneater"

Starting off let me say that I love when we get real adult romance. This was one of the adult romances that I crave when that petty post teen drama seeps in to the cracks of the pages. Finn and Delilah have lived life to some extent and they both are aware of what the big world holds. Finn the ex-football player and a player's player finds that life was not the jewel he had plucked for so many years. He has found the true jewel of all jewels in one Delilah Ferris.

The Bachelor series tells the story of three best friends who were in the same fraternity at college.  Each book focuses on a different guy, and the first book, The Girl of His Dreams, focused on Jordon. The Player gets Coached is the second book in the series, and it tells Finn's story. The third book, The One Real Regret, should be releasing in Spring 2019 and will be Max's story. Finley “Finn” McManus doesn’t seem to have a care in the world. His friends seem to be the voice of reason but they must be talking in his deaf ear. I have to say that when I first met him, I didn’t like him very much. He likes his celebrity and uses it to his advantage but then he meets someone who’s not impressed. That’s when I fell in love with Delilah Ferris.

It was fun to watch a man so self-assured turn into someone that has to ask for advice. One of those people he goes to is his friend Jo

The Player Gets Coached is a sweet, fun book about Finn, a completely unrepentant womanizer, setting his sights on his gorgeous, elegant new neighbor, Delilah, who won’t give him the time of day.

Finn’s a retired professional quarterback, currently working as a sports broadcaster. He’s hot and famous without any experience with women turning him down. Delilah is a clothing designer who only dates men that are the polar opposite of laidback, fun loving Finn. From the first time she sees him, she’s

This is the second book in the bachelor series by Janet Nissenson, and I did enjoy it but must admit I liked the first book better.
I couldn't wait to read Finn's story, and he sure didn't disappoint. I liked how he went from an absolute player to being all in with Delilah. He was by far my favourite character in this book. He just came across as a genuine person. What you saw is what you got. No hidden pretences, just a man who has lived a gre

Finn is almost forty and following a successful football career is now a broadcaster. The sad part of his tale is that he acts that a teenager with his manwhore ways and partying. Then a new neighbor moves in on his floor that makes his heart stop. Delilah is a successful woman having started her own fashion design company. She doesn’t trust easily and her first impression of Finn is less than stellar. Finn has to pull out all the stops to even get Delilah to talk to him which is so much fun to ...more

Finn is a retired football player and now a broadcaster. He loves his reputation as a player’s player and doesn’t do relationships. Delilah however isn’t interested and has no plans dating a guy like Finn. Can he convince her otherwise to give him a chance? Emotional read with plenty of drama. I liked the story as well as the characters. A good read.

Finn McManus is a retired NFL player with a cushy tv sportscaster job. He’s not a bad guy – just a manwhore literal slob who trades on his reputation, good looks and charm to draw a trail of young willing women to his bed. Each body morphing into another without making any impression on him. Despite being almost 40, he has no intention of changing his lifestyle because he is happy with things the way they are right now. Then he lay eyes on his new neighbor, Delilah Ferris.

The Manwhore Versus The Maneater indeed!

"Fully prepared to do whatever might be necessary in order to win over one Ms Delilah Ferris."

Finn is an out-and-out playboy. He's about to turn 40 and still behaves like a 20-something. He's cocky, arrogant and full of cheesy charm. He's a commitment-phobe who has women falling at his feet and never has to try hard at all to find a willing partner for the night. Until he meets his new neighbour. Suddenly, he's asking advice from his friends on the best wa

This is book #2 in the Bachelor series. This can be read as a standalone novel. For reader understanding and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading this series in order.

Finn is disturbed that he is the only one who has not traditionally grown up. He finds a woman he is interested in, and she is a maneater of the skilled kind. How does he show her he can be her match?

Delilah is not impressed by first sighting of Finn. She is not wanting to date a manwhore who can never make up his mind what he wa

This is my second attempt at a book by this author. I had read one of the books of her other series previously. She definitely has a certain writing style and I am not sure if it's for me...

I was intrigued by the blurb for this book though and so I gave it a go! I liked the strong characters that this story revolves around - as the blurb touts it The Manwhore vs the Man-Eater. Like them or not both of these characters have their reasons for being the way they are. Although I think for

I didn't like Finn in the previous book, and that didn't change initially, until he transformed into a completely different character.  And therein lies my issue with this book.  Delilah doesn't like Finn either until he goes through that complete metamorphosis, and it seems that even that isn't entirely sufficient.

With previous books, I found the male characters difficult to like, but the stories were redeemed by the female lead.  For me, that wasn't the case with this book I'm afraid.  I have
