Now she is about to celebrate her 11th birthday, she has saved up a box of candy for the occasion, and walks to her favourite bench, where she plans to just sit admire the view and eat candy. Little Sparky is one unique heroine. On the streets since her tenth birthday, today she turns 11, wants to celebrate with a candy pig-out, and instead discovers a dead child and is wanted for murder. She had nothing to do with it! Well, except for dropping her candy stash box. It's hard to preserve friendships when the cops are after you, and even harder to find a place to hide out till her name is cleared--if it ever is. But Sparky is a feisty, nearly fearless individual, braver even than a lot ...more
