I never thought anything would be better than hungry for her wolves, well... this one sure is. I cant believe all of the things that went thru in this book and I am afraid to comment because of spoilers... But be prepared to get very, very mad at Hakon and to love Drasko more than ever!!! Everything that happens to him tears at your heart and make you want to go and hug him!! Prepare for more action, more steam and monsters, real monsters.... I am so ready for book three... December cant get here soon enough

“Longing for her wolves” was just as good as the first one! In contrast to the initial book, this one delves into more intense emotions, with heart wrenching separation, danger, frustration, and sadness prevailing. Despite the heightened tension, it retains a sweet and passionate essence.
Oh and it was still hot 🌶️! (Also, not as cringy as the first book - or maybe I’m just more used to it now 😂)

The narrative navigates a shifter family torn by distrust, abandonment, and sorrow, turning what should have been a joyous new chapter into a tension-filled catastrophe. Several unexpected and unfortunate events, along with outside factors and drama, test and strain their bond. Amara's distress intensifies as she and her mates struggle to mend the fractures.
The story brims with suspense, presenting numerous challenges that drew me in, allowing me to empathize deeply with moments of despair, and yes, I might have shed a tear or two… again 🙈😅

Reverse harem 👌, 4 wolf-brothers and one longing she-wolf 🐺. It was steamy 🥵 - albeit not as steamy throughout the story as in the first book.

Somewhere between 4 and 5 ⭐️’s

An incredible continuation of 🐾 *Hungry for Her Wolves Series * 🐾!
Amara and her Mates have not had an easy beginning, and it looks like the difficulties are not ending any time soon!
Amara is a strong female with ideals of her own and will not be tied down my traditional roles and traditions of her families tribal beliefs and expectations.
She loves her Mates as well as both of their extended families. But she was raised a Human and holds dear to most of those ideals, no matter how much she wants and needs their love and affection.
The characters in this Series are over the top amazing, they drag you in from the start and keep you glued to the pages of their lives. This amazing storyline keeps you entranced all the way to the end and leaves you wanting to know more.
Author Tara West’s foray into these Paranormal Shifter world is explosive and remarkably entertaining!
The continuous action keeps you wanting more, needing to see where they will be next and enjoying the journey this Author is unfolding in front of us.
Absolutely wonderful and recommended to all lovers of Paranormal Shifters!!♥️

Fantastic

Every bit as amazing as book one!!! This time we get relationship issues which is nice change from everything being all peachy. Things are tough and then an accident happens that has long term consequences. Add in ongoing pack drama plus a new supernatural element to get a book that you just cannot put down. An absolute must read!! I loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.

Again we have to endure the same alpha-male macho bullshit. They clame to love Amara and yet don't even respect her opinion. They don't even stop to think that she might be the goddesses chosen for a reason. If they had listened to her then they wouldn't have to exile Drasko and other things that i dont care to number now.Her mates are cocksure and prideful. What good does "honor"do to her if she doesnt have her mates with her?Is honor going to keep her warm on winter nights, feed her or protect her? No.Then what good is it to her and why do they insist on avenging her honor? How can they clame that they wont let anyone hurt her when they themselves hurt her the most.Emotionalhurt is still hurt.
And an other thing.how come she changed so quickly her mind about babies and they already have on the way?idon't like it.she had doubts...how come she got over themso fast? The picture outside the book is misleading. It shows a kick-ass heroine ,walking tall against the rain, ready to face stuff and not taking anyones bullshit especially her mates. She takes charge and doesn't wait for the males to rescue her.On the cover there should be a woman in a long dress, bearfoot, heavily pregnant washing dishes not a self assured, perfectly poised woman standing among her mates, like she is the center of their universe and protected at the same time, ready to fight adversity besides them.A woman who stands besides and not behind them.

I must’ve missed something

So as I got into 5 chapters...confused, I realized this is book two of the series... would’ve been nice if that was included in the title so I knew to look for book one. With that said I couldn’t power through. I think I’d rather learn about how they got together and found each other instead of how they all live with each other.. also MC is a dud and super weak. Some moments were a little cheesy like the “flower petal” opening part. I also don’t know how this can claim to be a “protective alpha romance book” when the men leave her to go battle another pack in a different country, when another pack in the area seems to be dangerous and unstable... so the one star was mostly given bc I read this out of order and saved myself from having to read the first book to find that it’s all crummy. Thankfully free.

Action packed, surprising, and sexy! The story never gets dull.

I liked the better look into the families and the workings of their society. I also like how, if you do wrong, it isn't without consequences.

This book will put you through so so many emotions. And, while I had a hard time understanding the way the society works on some things, I had to have faith that the author would make it right!

All the action made this book a fast paced read, I felt very involved with the story.

Wow...I went from loving one brother and hating another in the 1st book and now I hated the one I loved and loved the one I hated 🤣 Great read, excellent writing that forced me to feel what FMC was feeling in those moments. Still spicy times in great detail but not as much as book 1 due to the major happenings in this story!

Using sex to manipulate and ignoring consent is how this book opens up. It's literally right in Chapter 1.

It gets worse when her mates decide immediately after getting her pregnant to head off to Romania to "avenge her honor." They don't want her to know what they're doing because the horrors of the haunted forest they're protecting are too unspeakable, but they make time to call one of their fathers daily. Obviously, this upsets Amara, and after a strenuous week away, her mates return home to an upset Amara. She's only upset for 2.5 seconds though when she realizes that she was "selfish" for giving her mates a cold welcome because they suffered while they were away avenging her honor🙄😒

So of course when she says she wants to sleep alone they guilt trip her, she says she doesn't want to have sex, and then they initiate sex, and of course when she pulls away and says she doesn't want to have sex while she's pregnant her mates get mad.

I absolutely loved this book, so much more action and intense scenes than the first which keeps you truly engrossed! I did ponder over taking a star away from my review, as Amara’s mates really did infuriate me over the unfortunate incident with Drasko, especially Hakon! I wanted to slap him so many times, he especially just totally ignored Amara’s wishes/distress of Drasko’s banishment to the point of just dismissing her totally! But in the end I didn’t as I enjoyed the story so much I decided to let it go! Well in the review anyway 😂

This book is very action packed and it was great to be back in Romania with Amara’s family. Looking forward to the next instalment and family drama!

Pregnant and still got it!

With Amara popping out babies now she has more to lose and most authors make the women become whiny and the men just act like overbearing children. But not with Amara and her men. She still has her stubbornness and will power to get what she wants, even if she is still trying to get used to the Amaroki way. So when she steps in front of her mate assuming he wouldn’t hurt her (at a stupid time no less) she causes the most heart wrenching domino effect on herself, her mates, and the entire tribe. I was right there with Amara crying my eyes out and suffering with her. But with her suffering came a strength that saved them all. Again, lots of explosive scenes, action scenes, and great flow to the story. As more characters are brought into the story, everything is till well kept and no one is forgotten.

Much better..

This book was much better than the first book. Amara didn't come across as such a crybaby as she did before or seem as weak. She still had her moments but not as many. The storyline was interesting and had a lot of twists and turns that kept me turning one page after another.

I did have one issue with the book though, the same issue that I had with book #1. The author continues to use the weirdest terms and words during the sex scenes. Things like, " Luc banged against her like a drum" and "he found her slick ribbon" or "her insides swelled like an inflatable balloon that molded around his erection" at one point she even used the word "cooing" for a grown ass woman! It was beyond strange and drove me nuts! Aside from that, it was a pretty good book.

Loving against the odds

Longing for her Wolves is the second book in the series and takes off where the first one ended. I am enjoying seeing how each of Amara's men's personalities are showing through even though they still have similarities to others in the family with similar ranks.

Just like in real life there are some individuals you will not (like evil step mother for example). The other characters will have you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Read to find out if Amara and her husbands will be able to weather through the distance one decision puts between them or will their love beat the odds?

4 stars for Longing for Her Wolves by Tara West. This is book two in the Hungry for Her Wolves series. Amara and her mates are continuing to face difficult times. BE READY for a cliffhanger. Amara is still doing her thing even though she is pregnant. Her mates just want to protect her, but will they be able too. I was captivated by this story, I could not put it down. This is a powerful and intriguing story. I am having trouble picking which one is my favorite out of Amara’s mates . At first it was Drasko but now Hakon is kinda sliding into my heart. I can not wait to see what is to come for this group.

Another addicting Paranormal RH from Tara. I could not put this book down, I needed to know what happens next as the adrenaline never stops!!!

Amara’s journey of learning of her ancients, new magical powers, pregnant and missing her 2nd alpha has caused a riff with her mates! She travels across the country to save her brother only to end up in a war with the Devoras while going into labor!!

“I don’t think I'm going to be able to control myself”

“I don’t want you to”

The strong over possessive love of her mates and the passionate love she has for them is incredible. You have to read this if you love Wolf Shifter RHs. Just intense!!!

Man oh man. I just can't. I really detest racism of any sort and the but head that takes over while our good guy is down just makes me want to reach out touch him around his neck although at the end he didn't have much if a neck to really touch so I am happy about that part.

That other lady, evil step momma. She got her assets handed to her in the most spectacular way. Stupid is stupid does if you have been told to stay put and dont run off why would you do so in a foreign country. Some folks don't make no sense. Glad her fathers found their deserving mate but still. I know was shock.

I do hope that her sister gets over the guilt she was feeling because she was in protection mode.

fun read

Amara learns life with mates and a pack isn’t a fairytale. She has one mate that’s been removed from the pack, death threats, danger around every corner, she’s pregnant, the babe has power, she is developing stronger power that she doesn’t understand, she has dreams of meetings with their goddess, demons coming out of the veil and so much more for her and her wolves to contend with as they have to go to Romania eventually again to save one of her brothers that is on of the mates to her sister in law. So much fun and exciting action happening that I couldn’t put the book down. Can’t wait to read the next book!

I really did try to like this book/series

The first book in the series introduced a different perspective on the whole werewolf genre (which is rare), I was holding out hope for this series, but even in the first book I noticed towards the end the m/c wasn't as independent as her upbringing would have made her. From the beginning of this book I couldn't understand her attitude towards Luc she already knew he was in the military, the constant hysterical breakdowns finally did me in I couldn't get past the first few chapters, it's just not for me.

Entertaining, yes. I had no problem finishing this book though I liked the first one better. However, the heroine, as well as every single woman in this book, is absolutely pathetic. Like, wow, I can't believe not a single one was worth crap in my opinion, a bunch of predominantly meek, weepy females most of the time.
And the guys are chauvinistic, hardheaded idiots.
Still, entertaining and kept my attention, even if I couldn't stand a single character; now that takes true talent. Hat off to you, Mrs. West.

The history continues!!

Amara learns more about the history of her family and that of her mates. Romania continues to be a key place in their joined history with many startling discoveries.
They learn that the family that tried to keep her against her will have hidden in a haunted forest. Her mates are required to help guard that forest. When they return, they have changed so much that Amara fears for them. Can so heal them, or will they remain shells of their former selves?!?!

RH, a bit steamy, and family oriented!

I love that this series values family so much. (A bit less in this book, due to Drasko, but otherwise that issue!)

Amara is pregnant in this book with her first son, and what a time to be pregnant. So much is happening in this - her brother in Romania is injured, a civil war between tribes is going on, hunters are still very common over there... oh, and a haunted forest? Yeah, let's throw that in!

All of this in the mix? What could go wrong?

The blurb had this on my TBR for awhile. I mean it just screamed great shifter romance. Unfortunately, this was not my jam...not in anyway explicable. Amara would say one thing and then the boys would walk all over her and she would cave and then cry about it and then be really happy about it. I got whiplash just reading it.

So even though my review for the first one was lackluster, I read this one. And people, it's the best of the three, but still the whiny and the steamrolling. At one point, I was totally willing to unalive Hakon for her.

I liked the idea of this book, but honestly the way it’s written, it lacks everything…

FMC constant bawling her eyes out, mmc are extremely manipulative, loads of things in book makes 0 sense, there’s just no logic to it.
Whole “avenging her honour “ thing was ridiculous.
Whole book felt like empty words on the paper, I couldn’t connect with any characters, it was just lacking real emotions,
The ending irritated me the most, she meets her family and that’s how she behaves , cmon.
Honestly Iam shocked by the amount of good reviews on this book

OMG! I didn't think that Tara would get more intense than the first book, but boy! was I surprised! As if the familial connections weren't convoluted enough in the first one, the second book adds a few more into the mix! With explosive results! And with SOOOOOO many male egos clashing, it's no wonder some of the women want to bash their men's heads in! Another great read from a great author. Go on! You know you wanna click it!

Captivating!!

Seriously cannot get enough of this series!! Tats West you have shocked and captivated me! You have all of the elements for a powerful story back to back. You have the strong female lead who is stubborn and set in her ways. Add that to her mates and their family “pack” issues. A paranormal shifter twist and a devastating accident and you have a story you can’t put down. Seriously a must read!!!!

I enjoyed the story and all the emotional drama. I was glad it had far less sex scenes than the previous book because they are still the worst part of this series. At one point, a male orgasm is described as "his cock popped like a balloon." I almost stopped reading right there, wondering if the author might be an alien who's pretending to be a human, and taking wild guesses as to how human mating works. All the sex in this series so far is devoid of love or tenderness. It's composed of words like jammed and rammed, pounding and banging. If that's your cup of tea, then great. But it's not mine.

this series just gets better

Amara and her guys are In For the fight of their life and I swear just as they start to find their footing in this new bond they are thrown for a loop again and again. There were so many ups and downs in their relationship I seriously I didn’t know if they were going to make it through but the amount of love they all have for one another is amazing. I can’t wait to start book 3
