I have tried a few DIY-books for learning Scottish Gaelic, but I found most a bit lacking in different regards. They either lacked clarification in regards to pronunciation, failed to provide clear, understandable explanations for things, or just advanced at a rhythm nearly impossible to keep up with without losing yourself.

This has been the best book so far on the subject, and the one I found most helpful to pair with other resources like learngaelic.scot.

4.5 stars rounded up. I really enjoyed and appreciated this book. My only beef is that partway through, they stopped giving translations with the dialogues. Those would have been extremely helpful for the entirety of the book. The accompanying audio was pretty amazing.
