Jen had split up with her husband and they had two children together. Then Walker comes back to town for a wedding. Jen & Walker have history and together but not a good one. Who is Nick's real father? Loved this book, and I have thoroughly enjoyed every single book I have read by this author. She is a fabulous writer. ...more

I loved this book. Honestly, I was expecting it to be a fluff book. You know, a book where the plot is forgettable and the sex is hot. Instead, I got a book with an intriguing plotline and hot sex. I was hooked from the first page.

The plotline of Can’t Stand the Heat was interesting. I thought that the author did a great job at creating a situation where paternity could be questioned. But I didn’t like how Walker made assumptions about things. He saw Nick and assumed that was his son from the fi

Can't Stand the Heat is the second book in the Otter Tail series. After an incident in high school changed the course of Jen, Walker, and Tony's lives, she didn't expect to see him again. He's back in town for Quinn and Maddie's wedding, with the hopes of making a quick escape. Then he sees Jen's son and begins to wonder if Nick is actually his, instead of her ex-husband's. He decides to stick around to find out, and to see if maybe there's a chance for him and Jen.

As always, Margaret Watson has

What do you do when you think you are looking for some form of redress and find a second chance instead? Can mistakes from the past be forgiven, and a future built despite regrets and lost opportunities? Find ...more

Can you really ever make up for bad decisions in the past? Decisions that nearly ruined people's lives? Is it possible to find forgiveness for someone who hurt and betrayed you? Jen and Walker give it a good try in this book.

Although Jen did a despicable thing to Walker in high school, which had disastrous results for Jen, Walker, and Jen's then boyfriend Tony, she is regretful and she has paid a price (as they all have). She's not my favorite female lead character but I don't dislike her; and

Hero's come back to the old home town for his best friend's wedding. The heroine's also in the wedding, and they have a secret in their past. He's a successful game writer, she's a divorced single mom struggling to build her catering business enough to save enough money to open her own restaurant. The reunion isn't a happy one, and then he sees her oldest son, who's a dead ringer for his dad, and things really get complicated. This is an angsty story with quite a few complications. I thought it ...more
