Reach For The Moon

Rate this book
Reach for the Moon by Joyce Thies DAMSEL IN DISTRESS Samantha Charles didn't accept charity, especially from the high and mighty Steven Armstrong, who'd once considered her as worthless as her no-account father. Now he was playing Prince Charming by graciously inviting her family to stay with him. Samantha couldn't deny the way he made her feel, but what he didn't seem to realize was that a Cinderella who came with three kids, ten cows and four kittens would never fit on his white charger! Undaunted, Steven set about winning the only woman he'd ever cared for, but Samantha refused to accept his help--or his love. Could he convince her that he wanted a partnership of the heart?

Joyce Thies met her husband in college and it was love at first sight. Readers might recognize her as the Joyce half of Janet Joyce (or Jenna Lee Joyce), the other half was Janet Bieber. She also wrote a romance as Melissa Scott, "Territorial Rights", but is now but is now writing under her own name. While researching a historical about early Montana, Joyce fell in love with the beautiful philosophies held by the Absaroka Indian tribe and wanted to share them with her contemporary readers.

Nice short, Silhouette Desire about a heroine who is struggling to raise her three kids and wants to be independent in the worst way. She doesn't like the hero because he said a couple of disparaging stuff about her and her alcoholic father when she was 10 but can't turn him out when is stranded in a storm at the place she is living (which unbeknownst to her her dead dad sold to hero). The heroine finds herself crazily attracted to hero, who is great with her kids but she wants to do it all on her own but when her furnace conks off, the hero gets his way and she and the kids make their way to his place. Our hero has all the wealth in the world but is lonely and finds himself not only falling for heroine but her kids. The poor thing has battle to convince the heroine to stay in his life.
