I'm still reading this book. If I weren't going through it with such a fine toothed comb I might be finished by now, but there is such a wealth of information its hard to just read it without re-reading certain sections and making notes. Great book, thanks for the info!

It may be forty years old, but this edition still contains a lot of useful information on getting published. Mr. Wilbur had published about a dozen books by the time he completed this one. While sections on self-publishing need updating, not to mention several needed chapters on e-books, the bulk of the data here is on determining what the public and publishers are looking for when it comes to enjoying a good book.

I encourage anyone with even a slight interest in getting published to pick this up.
