I don’t know how the author does it, but Laura Barnard has the knack of making me laugh at even the grossest of situations. And that’s something I don’t say lightly. My gag reflex is alive and well. Whaaa? TMI? *shrugs*

I’ve got you intrigued though, don’t I?

*wags finger* Puh-lease, like I’m going to give you any hint of what I’m talking about *smirks* I’ll put it this way, retching and laughing at the same time is the new thing, lol.

This is the first Laura Barnard book I have read.

I was excited to read this book as the synopsis caught my attention immediately, it seemed just my type of fun read. I was a bit surprised by the opening chapter as it starts with a quite graphic sex scene however once I was into the story I quickly became swept along with the authors way of writing.

There are a few sexually graphic scenes and some sexual language used throughout the book but the author has written these from a fun point of view wh

Bagging Alice is the third book in Laura Barnard’s Babes of Brighton series, and it’s another must-read from the author. After reading and enjoying Excess Baggage, book one in the Babes of Brighton series, I was more than willing to read more stories following the characters I found myself falling in love with. With how much I enjoyed Love Uncovered, book two in the Babes of Brighton series, I was desperate for even more. Even though I have read some other Laura Barnard books and enjoyed them, I ...more

Stick with my review, it starts bad but gets better.

"Operation 'Bagging Alice' is in progress." Not overly keen on this start but hey let's see what happens. I can't wait to see more of this guy! ... (That's sarcasm... there's a lot of that in the book too).

Alice is in a pickle, whereby she needs a room mate or she will have to forfeit her lovely, expensive, flat in Brighton. Tom 'Manwhore' Madden needs somewhere to stay after landing a new job, in a town he doesn't live in. It goes without sayi

[ I received a digital ARC for an honest review]

Bagging Alice by Laura Barnard is the third book in her Babes of Brighton series but can be read as a standalone.

Alice Watts hasn't had the best luck when it comes to picking men. After literally choking on her ex, he destroys her life by posting private intimate photos of her online for revenge. This leads to her loosing her photographer job and ruining her reputation. When her roommate up and leaves without notice she is on the verge of lo

I am totally enjoying this series, it just gets better with each book and Bagging Alice has to be my favourite so far.

I love Laura Barnard's sense of humour that is present throughout all of her books that I've read so far. Bagging Alice had me laughing out loud most of the time but it also had me shouting out and shaking my head when it looked like Alice was going to do something she'd regret. Laura Barnard is relatively new to me and the narrator Victoria Riley is new to me but Brighton is my old stomping ground and I was drawn to a story based in a town I knew so well and I wasn’t disappointed. The narrator did a great job of bring the characters to life and making me feel like I was home in the UK instead of Sydney Australia.

The opening really starts with a really! Not exactly tasteful but then that’s the point. The idea behind the story and the title isn’t exactly pleasant but in real life often true.

Alice Watts is literally exposed by her scum of an ex-boyfriend, loses her job and her roommate and has no choice but to accept Tom ‘Manhore’ Madden as her next roommate. Something she’d rather not do for obvious reasons but times are tough for her with no other choice.

Some good hum

Bagging Alice is a new funny and sexy addition to the Babes of Brightong series.
It could be read as a stand alone but you will see the characters of the previous novels throughout it.

I’ve really enjoyed to read this hate to love story.
Alice and Tom don’t look like a good match but their banters are hilarious and their chemestry is hot.
I liked how they discover their feelings for each other are changing but they both have some issues to overcome before to start a relationship and how they act in

If you hate books with lots of swearing and sex then you shouldn't read this one. But if you don't mind all that and you just want to read a book filled with laughs, romance and dogs, this will be the right book for you.

Bagging Alice is a book that you don't want to put down because you just want to know what happens next. It takes you on a great journey into the world of love, sex and friendships and where the journey ends you'll only know if you read the book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It made me laugh within the first couple of pages! I loved reading about the tension between Alice and Tom. I felt that the whole book was very realistic, i can imagine this story happening to someone in real life, unlike some stories.

I flew through this book and I didn't want to put it down. Another great book by Laura Barnard!

Great romcom with great characters and a beautiful setting!!!!

One of my favorite things to read is a good romcom, and Laura Barnard gave me exactly what I was looking for. Bagging Alice is the third book in the Babes of Brighton series, but it is a complete standalone! You do get an introduction to characters that appear in earlier novels and that made me want to download those. But, this is Alice and Tom’s story, and what a story they have to tell us. There is insane chemistry, romance

This is the 3rd book in the Brighton babes series and another great book from Laura Barnard.

Alice has just discovered that her ex has been posting photos of her naked online in revenge and at the same time she looses all her work as a photographer and her roommate moves out leaving her to find someone else to help cover the rent that’s due at the end of the month.

This is where Tom aka the man whore comes in and takes up Alice’s reluctant of

I absolutely LOVE this book! It is epitome of the quality and style of read I have come to love and expect, from Laura. Over time I have really found her niche of writing to be absolutely perfect for an evening read, especially as we approach the colder months, and need a giggle and a bit of warmth in our books.

Alice is a lovely character, filled with flaws, ambition, strength and is attempting to build a new self, after her livelihood and professionalism have been shatter by a devious ex-lover

With that opening chapter, you know you're in for a treat!

Bagging Alice was funny, heartbreaking and so current. Every one of the characters were so believable and I couldn’t wait to read more about the gang.

Alice is going through hell. He ex-boyfriend has posted a naked photo of her on the internet, her flatmate moves out and her clients are canceling on her.

Bagging Alice (Babes of Brighton,#3) by Laura Barnard is a cute story about a girl name Alice. She has cappy luck when it comes to boyfriends. This time she hit the jackpot. A mad ex posted naked pictures of her which has caused her clients to cancel working with her. To make matters worse, her roommate ups and moves out without notice. She has no way of making her rent till Tom "manwhore" Madden comes into town and needs a place to stay. Alice would rather eat dirt than have to deal with Tom bu ...more

When I read the first page or 2 of this book I was reading something totally unexpected and wondered if it was going to be my thing.... by page 3 I was chuckling away and the laughs kept on coming!

This was a quick read and was over all too soon for my liking because I was so enjoying reading about Alice and Tom (& adorably naughty puppy Pickles).

Alice agrees to rent a room to Tom (who she has nicknamed 'manwhore'), Tom takes on a bet that he will have sex with Alice but in time-honoured 'chick

Bagging Alice starts out with a really intense, unabashedly cringe-worthy scene, the kind that puts you right inside the mind of Alice, unfiltered and real. It’s something to be appreciated while the story is told from both Alice and Tom’s perspectives, dipping back and forth between the two, so we can get a firm handle on just how much they clash. There isn’t much in common, and while she’s actively looking for someone she can p

I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a laugh out loud hilarious! One of my favorite things about this book was that it was written in true British form! The language, descriptions and dialogue were written in true a true English format. I appreciate there wasn't continual switching between American lingo and English. It made the story and characters more authentic and believable.

When a story has you choking on a mouthful of coffee by page one you know you're in for a real treat of a read. Bagging Alice is one of the funniest books that I have read this year. The brutally honest language had me laughing out loud throughout and I could not have enjoyed it more if I tried.

Having said that, the book isn't all light humour as it does delve into deep and socially appropriate topics for our time adding in darker layers to the storyline and creating a more serious tone than you

Its no secret that I am a huge fan of Laura's work and I have been eager to get my hands on Bagging Alice, so when it arrived on my kindle, I dropped everything to dive straight in, and as usual, I wasn't disappointed.

This is part of the Babes of Brighton series and is the story of Alice and Tom. Despite being part of a series it can be read as a standalone easily and isn't confusing if you haven't read the previous books. Laura introduces each character so well that you feel as if you know them

Bagging Alice is book 3 in the Babes of Brighton and can be read as a standalone. Alice is obviously one of the main characters in this story, Tom is too. Alice’s ex-boyfriend was really scum and we find out even more so toward the end of this book. She is now wary of dating and I can’t say as I blame her. To have private photos posted all over the web, would make me wary.

She now needs a roommate because her roommate moves out leaving her without help for the rent.

Bagging Alice, the third book in the Babes of Brighton series, can be read as standalone. Well written with a good pace, I found it to be a modern and fun enemy to lovers roommate romance.

While I don’t consider myself a prude, I will admit that the opening graphic sex scene and crude language that continued throughout was a bit of a turn off for me, but I’m glad I continued on as the overall story grew on me and in the end, I found it to be a bit flirty and fun. I loved the mo

This is the third book in this great series. Alice is left in the lurch when her roommate moves out unexpectedly, plus she does not have the best track record with men, and now her ex is set out to destroy her life. Tom is a womanizer, who is looking for somewhere to stay in a new town, and ends up as Alice’s housemate. This story is hilarious and entertaining with the love / hate relationship thing they have going on. Will Alice find out about the bet Tom has made with his friend about “bagging ...more

Bagging Alice was a fun read. It starts with Alice having a rough couple of days. Alice's ex posts pictures of her that were only for him online and then her roommate moves out with very little notice. She's stuck finding a roommate so she ends up taking Tom as a roommate. He the last person she wants as a roommate. He has a reputation as a man whore. Tom is cocky and a bit full of himself at times. Alice tries to give him the cold shoulder. I normally read a lot of YA but I do like to read some chick lit as well at times so when Laura approached me I was intrigued by the synopsis of Bagging Alice.

The very first line of this novel had me in hysterics- I had to snapchat it to some of my friends.
"God, I hate sucking cock" I mean how many people can agree with that?

There are quite a few saucy scenes and sexual conversations but I feel like they were quite well written and worked within the settings.

I loved the banter between Alice and
