The Beyond was one of the reads that immediately sparked the desire to re-read Chloe Neill's entire Devil's Isle Series...and that is exactly what I did.

The fae have broken through the veil, now the outed sensitive, Claire and her companions must find a way to stop the war and devastation that they are bringing to the human realm the only problem seems the answer might be on the other side of the broken veil. Going there might drive her and the other humans insane. But without them, they may nev

An excellent conclusion to the series! I hadn’t realized going into it that this was the final book. A powerful enemy decides to get vengeance by destroying New Orleans. They discover that there is only one way to defeat the enemy and it involves a journey into the beyond, which has the potential to be dangerous for many reasons.

It was cool to finally see what it was like on the other side of the veil. Aside from the threat of the fae who lived there, the magic could do harm to Claire and Liam.

Four stars: A turning point in the series. A thrilling story!

Claire is continuing to fight for her friends and the city she loves. New Orleans is in shambles after an eight year war with the paranormals. Claire has learned to not take anything to granted and to appreciate the simple things in life, from happy to reunions to chocolate and wine. Then trouble strikes when a group of powerful Seelies threaten the city and all who live there. The Seelies are the most powerful threat yet. To defeat th

This fourth book in the Devil's Isle novels begins with conditions deteriorating in New Orleans. Already nearly a ghost town since the Veil was opened a year earlier, now a new group of Court paras has come to the city with thoughts of revenge.

The seelie are good at controlling the wind and are going to use their powers to halt the newest hurricane, which bids to be as strong as Katrina, over New Orleans until the whole city is destroyed. Claire and Liam and their friends need to find some way

The final book in the Devil's Isle series is page turner. I devoured it quickly even though I didn't want to say goodbye to these characters.

I was immediately engrossed in this series from the first page of The Veil and have devoured each and every book not wanting to put them down until the last word was read.

Neill has a way with words and worlds. Her world building draws you right in and her characters keep you coming back for more.

In the Devil's Isle series she created a fascinating post-a

I cant believe 'Devil's Isle' is done. I could live in Claire and Liam's world forever. This is the 4th and final book in the series. Im sad to see it go. But I liked the way it ended. A natural progression of relationships over the series that ended in normal ways. Whether someone left to back to 'their world' or continuing in their relationships to the next step. The threat - 'The Beyond' - is on the other side of the Veil which divides Terra ( Earth) and the Beyond ( paranormal entities and n ...more

I enjoyed this series very much despite issues of certain dialect and technical issues. Claire and Liam are a well developed characters and I can see the finality of the series coming after the last book. I think the author has exceed expectations with this book and ties it up nicely. I am saddened though because this is her second series in less than two years to end for me. I know she has started another, but they are still missed. Chloe Neill is a great author about knowing when to move on an ...more

This is the last in the Devil's Isle series and it is good. I liked that it wrapped up story lines in a satisfying way. The characters had challenges and dealt with them in a grown up realistic way.
