I have been reading Lori Foster for years, and absolute adore her alpha heroes. Reading the second book in the Summer Resort series was a true delight because I got to enjoy the continued friendship of two women close enough to be sisters.

In this story, Joy Lee, a single mom, has taken a job managing a lakeside resort. Joy comes from an affluent family, but that did not bring her happiness. What she finds while working at the resort brings true happiness and peace to her life. She is especially

Lighthearted and cute!

Synopsis: Joy Lee runs a lakeside resort. As a single mother, her hands are always full between caring for the vacationers and her son. This leaves basically no time for a personal life. But there's a new guy on the scene - Royce. It's Joy's friend, Maris, who gives her the courage to move past her divorcee label and see if there's the potential for something special.

You know what I loved about this story the most - the friendship between Joy and Maris. At the start of the

Sisters of Summer's End by Lori Foster is a beautifully written and heartwarming read.
I really enjoyed it and loved watching both couples find love and happiness.

The Summer Resort Series has been a joy to read and I highly recommend it.

*Thank you to the publisher via Netgalley for the ARC.*

I was in a pretty big reading slump before starting this book and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself coming out of that slump after reading this book. Although I enjoyed the first book in the series, I expressed by slight disappointment because I felt like the book was more of a Contemporary Romance rather than a true Women’s Fiction novel. However, I definitely feel like Lori Foster has stepped up to that and created a story that is more fitting to the genre.

In this book, we have tw

I expected an engaging tale.....but was totally blown away. Ms. Foster's ability to engage one's emotions, and invest you in her tale shine brightly in Sisters Of Summer's End.
We are given front row seats to the working of the minds of the main characters and even a few of the lesser ones.
Single mother, Joy Lee lives her life completely centered around her five year old son Jack, and the job at the RV resort park that enabled her to keep him safe and happy. Maris Kennedy runs the camp store. R

Heartwarming, emotive, and rewarding.

Sisters of Summer’s End is an engaging, lighthearted tale that features the hardworking, single mom Joy and the dependable, supportive Maris as they forge an unconditional friendship that will help them both conquer and embrace past hurts, childhood baggage, strained familial relationships, and newly budding romance.

The prose is crisp and fluid. The characters are easygoing, helpful, and likeable. And the plot is a heartfelt tale of life, love, support, under

This was a cute read! Aside from the two romances, which ranged from sweet to sexy, I absolutely loved the burgeoning friendship between Joy and Maris! Even though they’d worked together for years, neither one had really taken a step out of their comfort zones and it was nice to see a positive female friendship. Joy’s son, Jack was just an all-around cutie pants with his artistic eye and loving personality. And I can’t forget the furbaby! Chaos was a rescue dog Royce, Joy and Jack found, and he ...more
This was a terrific story of friendship and love. Both Joy and Maris have worked at the RV resort for several years. Each of them has concentrated on their work, preferring to keep people at a comfortable distance. But as this season winds down, both Joy and Maris feel a little lonely. I loved the scene where they drop their walls a little bit and reach out to each other. It was great to see how easily they connected once they allowed themselves to open up. Theirs was the sort of friendship I li ...more

Welcome back to Cooper's Charm RV Resort Park.
Joy Lee has worked as the activities director for the last several years. Joy is a divorced, single mom of Jack, her adorable five year old son. While friendly, she has always been reserved, not letting anyone get too close. Then she meets Royce, the new owner of the Drive In Theatre, and she is instantly drawn to him.
Joy has also begun to form a deeper friendship with Maris, owner of the country store /cafe. Maris and Daron, the Park handyman, hav

Happy tears. RTC

Sisters of Summer’s End was a feel good, light-hearted addition to the Summer Resort series. I’m still on a quest to find a real Cooper’s Charm so I can pack up and move, because how awesome would it be to live and work in a place like that?!? Granted, you’d probably get tired after a while of being in such close quarters with your coworkers, but the friendships you’d make would be worth it!

That’s one of my favorite things about this story- the friendship that developed between Joy and Maris. It

I wasn't impressed with the first book in this series, Cooper's Charm, but Lori Foster is one of my favorite romance authors. This is a twofer romance and it is very sweet, if you ignore the plot flaws, the angst and the insta-lust. It has a cute kid and a cute dog and everyone lives Happily Ever After.

Joy Lee left her old life behind when she found out that she was pregnant. Her parents disowned her and the baby's father divorced her and left way before he was even born. She finds herself at a lakeside resort, the owner giving her the chance she needs to make it on her own and she hasn't looked back since. She keeps everyone at a distance though, her son is her main priority and she doesn't have time for a life of her own. Even though she has spent her whole time at the resort basically keepi ...more

I have to admit that I'm really loving the two for one romances Foster has been providing!

The friendship bonds that are created are something we all strive to achieve and in these wonderfully heartfelt relationships, you can't help but find yourself drawn in.

I received this ARC copy of Sister of Summer's End from HARLEQUIN - Romance (U.S. & Canada)-HQN. This is my honest and voluntary review. Sister of Summer's End is set for publication June 11, 2019.

The one thing I love about reading a Lori Foster book is how easy they always are to get into. I also enjoy the characters she comes up with. They are never perfect, they have the same faults and issues we have which makes them!

Sisters of Summer's End has so much going on yet it doesn't feel too busy. There are two love stories. The first one is the main story, the ones that are most forward in the book is
This was more than just a romance. This was about friendships and family that aren’t related by blood. It’s about people with character flaws and backgrounds that influence their present day decisions and how they learn to let it go. And I loved it all.

There are actually two relationships included in this book. The main couple is Joy and Royce who have recently met. With her son Jack as the center of her life, she’s been on her own since her parents disowned her. But when she allows herself to o

Thank you to NetGalley and Harlequin Romance (U.S. & Canada) and HQN for the advance reader copy, Sisters of Summer’s End by favorite romance author, Lori Foster, in exchange for an honest review. This second book in the series, Summer Resort #2 was awesome! This was a very enjoyable novel. I really enjoyed the fact that a big part of the novel was about the friendships between Maris and Joy as well as their relationships with the men in their lives.

I haven't read the first book in this series yet (but plan to in July) and I haven't read Lori Foster in quite some time, and I like the shift to more 'women's fiction' (don't get me wrong, I still absolutely love her contemporary romance). It's enjoyable to see authors try something new. Although

I received an ARC of Sisters of Summer’s End from NetGalley and this is my honest review. I don’t like to read reviews that tell all about the story. To learn that read the synopsis or download a sample, then if you liked what you read, buy the book. To me a review is: (response to each item is after the -----)
(1) how well it was written, ----- great story line.
(2) How it flows from introduction to ending, ----- was easy to follow the story line and characters.
(3) If it grabs your attention earl

SISTER'S OF SUMMER'S END by Lori Foster is a wonderful story about love and family. Joy a single mom and Royce a new business owner, along with Jack are the focus of the story. Joy is the recreation director at a RV resort. Royce owns the drive in next to the resort. The resort is where Joy has built a life for herself and Jack her son. The people that work there are family to them. This story is an incredible journey with wonderful characters, it will leave you with a smile. Definitely a five 🌟 ...more

Absolutely loved this book!. It was heartwarming, funny, and sexy. Awesome characters and storylines.
This one was very sweet and as much as it was about the romance it was also about women cultivating a friendship when they've never really had any prior.

Royce and Joy were great together, both seemed to be on the same page from the start and even when things started to change, they talked it over, or did so fairly quick with some prodding from their friends. I loved how Royce was with Jack, how he didn't seem him as a burden, but as a bonus and treated him that way, heck he even discovered some

Everything about this book was fantastic.
From seeing Cooper and Phoenix, Baxter and Ridley , Maris and Daron again and getting to know Joy, Jack and Royce.
The way Joy and Royce's relationship unfolded along with Jack being a huge part of it was fun to watch. I kept thinking, "These two have no clue ." How they started out ,I knew how'd it go, just took them longer to figure out.
Then we get the bonus of watching Daron chase Maris , her reaction and how things go with them.

Is there anything better than a happily ever after for romance lovers? How about two HEA's in the same book? Even without any romance, this book would be phenomenal. It's funny, engaging, entertaining and heart warming, all of which makes it an amazing read! Foster’s characters are just enough flawed to make them endearing, and the conflict is authentic and relatable. If that’s not enough, she wraps it in an original, quaint setting and adds in a precocious, adorable five-year-old boy who steals ...more

I absolutely loved this book and had a hard time putting it down.
Sometimes, the people we choose as friends turn out to be more of a family than the one we're born into. Maris and Joy have known each other for years, but haven't been much more than acquaintances until the day they realize they're much more alike than they knew. As the weather turns colder on the lake, two women who have been alone for much of their lives choose to open their hearts to each other and to other possibilities.
