Dragons Do Not Share is about a young dragon who does not want to share with his cousin Tess. He doesn't want to share his cookie, his scooter or anything else. He just doesn't want to share. As the book goes on, he feels bad for not sharing with Tess, which leads him to share his last cookie with her. They also share their halves of the maps they have, which allows them to find the treasure. It is made clear that the theme of this book is sharing and learning how to share. I gave this book four stars because I like that it is split up to have the parents read one page and the young student to read the other. I also like the personified dragons and the message it portrays.

This is a unique book because it has a page for a teacher or parent to read and it has a page for the child to read. I like how it gives hints of what is coming next for the child to say/read to make it a bit easier. The book is about a dragon who's cousin comes to visit. The dragon does not want to share anything with his cousin. He thinks this is great fun because he can play with his own toys and eat his own cookies. But, when he sees his cousin sad, he feels bad and realizes it's more fun to play with someone. This teaches a great lesson on sharing, empathy, and playing with others. Good read for preschool and kindergarten. Genre: fiction, picture book
