Unfortunately I was expecting a little more than a 45-minute read -- and that includes the break I took. Definitely fast on the draw -- from the word GO! Insta-love - check. No flight in sight -- but definitely laid!
Witty and funny -- a little too simplified and the "dove" made me want to gag at times. I hated all the little funky pet names. Sometimes I can push myself to break the barriers and join Lalaland -- but not here. Too over-the-top and very little depth or storyline. A big waste on a great book cover.

Really Enjoyed
I really enjoyed this book! I liked both Lily and Trevor a lot. Lily was such a sweetheart and a breath of fresh air and Trevor was a definite mystery. That is why I took off one star because I needed to know more about him. What was his job, why was he against relationships, how old was he? Just general stuff like that. Even though I didn’t have a full picture of him I still loved how he was with Lily, he was captivated and devoted to her from the start. It was very endearing. I also wish the epilogue was longer but that is because I am a sucker for them. This story is completely 100% safe!

We got a glimpse of Lily and Trevor's story in Pick Your Passion and Pick Your Pleasure. Now we get their full story. And it is AMAZING! Can't wait to see what SE Hall has for us readers next, because her writing only gets better no matter how long or in this case short her storys/books are.

So I keep saying I don’t like insta-love, but this is the third book in a row that I’ve read that had insta-love. I’M OBSESSED!!!! I loved every minute of this short story! I devoured it so quickly and I really want to read it again. I loved Lily and how strong and determined she was! And then Trevor really blew me away, I love how he picked up on what kind of woman Lily really was from the beginning. I would LOVE to see more of them!!

A Sweet & Enjoyable Romance! Great Story & Listen🎧

I enjoyed this fabulously delightful instant love romance novella, the story drew me in right from the start and captivated my attention the entire time. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Lily Meyer’s soon to be ex-husband is trying to take everything from her, her day in court is happening tomorrow and she booked a first class fight to get there. But mechanical problems grounds the plane and her plan to get there on time. Frantic to come up with another solution, and she gets help from the gorgeous man who left her speechless when she first laid eyes on him, Trevor Kincade. I adored these two characters, Lily is sweet and there is a goodness about her, Trevor comes off as powerful and there is a mystery about him. Trevor gets her to court on time and he gets all protective, too. This novella sized book packed a whole lot of story and I loved how everything played out, I would have loved even more if the story was longer. It is a beautifully plotted story with the perfect balance of drama, charm, heartfelt emotions and a wonderful romance. S.E. Hall, thank you for this sweet story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Trevor is sitting next to her. This gorgeous man is taken with her and is going to do what he can to help her out. What Lily gets though is much more than a good settlement. This insta-love quick listen is easy and fun. Trevor is quite the man, coming to her aid and knowing exactly what she needs. He is incredibly patient and his protectiveness is impossible to not love. Lily proves just how resilient she is. I would love to get a full story of these two, but SE Hall definitely packs a lot into this "quickie"!

Short read - lots of flowery language...
Lily Myers boards a plane a little flustered, and when the deep voiced seat mate for the flight turns to talk to her she becomes even more flustered. They talk and soon Trevor Kincade becomes her travel companion, wanting to help the beautiful Lily on her quest to reach her final destination. But Lily is burdened by life and the issues she’s facing and can’t accept that a complete stranger would go out of his way to help her. Trevor can’t find reason why he’s set to help this dove, but he knows she’s pure hearted and he wants more. And when it’s all over he takes her away and shows her what it is to be loved and cherished.
Anyway this was a short read... two people whose worlds collide and they become intertwined on a journey to freedom and new beginnings. This wasn’t what I was expecting 🤷🏽♀️

Laid Over by SE Hall was a great, happy read from beginning to end. Lily has been used and cheated on by her soon to be ex husband. Her final court date to finalize her divorce is the next day. Good thing she bought herself a seat in first class for her flight. Her life changes as she knows it as soon as she meets Trevor.
He is the one thing that can change how her future will be. He does so many nice things for her in the first 24 hours of knowing her, she doesn’t understand why. I thought this book was very well written and the characters were great. I think I’m inlove with Trevor. Every woman should be able to find someone like him to come in and save the day.

Eek! SE Hall has only gone and hit it outta the park again! This is a short almost insta-love read and may not be her usual style but I loved it just as much! This lady has sure proved she can write anything, as if we ever had any doubt! Lily and Trevor had such immense chemistry that was completely palpable through the pages and I loved the banter between them. Trevor has such a way with words! This novella really was perfect for them. It was fun and flirty and I thoroughly enjoyed every second reading it. Perfect if you’re in need of a quickie ;)

I like this story. It's an Insta lust, alpha man story. Lily is tangled up in her own affairs, that she couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. Her day has been horrendous, and she hasn't even border the plane yet.
Of course, she grew seated next to a gorgeous guy, and seemingly makes a fool of herself. Icing on the cake if said day. Thankfully, all of that changes because of some mechanical issues with the plane. And thus, the story begins.
The story is so great. You really should read it!

It's been awhile since I've read/listened to a book by S.E. Hall and I'd forgotten how she writes witty banter and puts characters in unique situations. The book is a fun quick read with a very straitlaced heroine about to lose everything in a divorce and a billionaire with an instant attraction to the chaos that is Lily. Trevor offers to take her out of her comfort zone and help her restart after her devastating loss. This novella is filled with sexual tension, humor, and great characters. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs a fast, fun read.

An amazing fun, quick steamy read. Hall never fails to bring me a story that I can't help but get hooked on and this one grabbed me from the start.
We finally get the full story of Trevor and Lily after meeting them in Pick You Passion and Pick You Pleasure, and I loved every second of it!

Quick, fun and steamy! I loved this short read and I can't even begin to tell you how much. I laughed so much and I swooned and I fell just as instantly as the characters. I so want to read more from them. I loved the banter between them and I loved the quick wit of both of them. I can't wait to see what S.E. will come up with next!

Trevor and Lilys story is a quick read love story, which got we got a glimpse of in Pick your passion. Even though it is indeed a quick read it's a really cute love story with a lot of alpha male in it. Once again Se Hall pulls you in and delivers a wonderful story!!!

Amazing!!!
This is a short story but it packs an insta-love punch. The chemistry between Lilly and Trevor was undeniable! I loved how strong Lilly was even while going threw such a crappy situation and I loved how Trevor swooped in to be her knight in shining armor. It was perfect!

I generally love anything by this author. However, this was not my favorite of her books. It felt rushed and lacked the normal character development. It still doesn't change that I adore this author.

I definitely would have liked more of this story. Trevor and Lilly have a great chemistry and I loved Lilly's sassy banter. It just didn't seem like the whole story was told.

Short and sweet
Short and sweet never were so fully realize! I so wish that after the court hearing there were another hundred pages. Not to fear, our darling author did not leave us hanging. We definitely got closure. It’s just so well done, I wanted more....more of him....

I usually love S.E. Hall’s books but I just couldn’t get into this one as much. It was sexy and had an HEA but the plot and character development just felt off and the story never drew me in. It was a quick read though if you want instant gratification!
