I really thought I would enjoy this story more but unfortunately I didn't. I found the story to flow at a very slow pace and although there were funny parts here and there in the story it just wasn't enough. The storyline was okay but I really didn't care for the Fiona who is one of the main characters. Cade, Esme and Grammie Rose were okay characters but there wasn't anything about them that made them interesting or stand out in the story. This is a story that when you actually get the full bac ...more

When Fiona comes back home to take care of her injured grandma, she's surprised to find Cade there. He broke her heart years ago when he walked away from their relationship without a word, but she knows he's important to her Grammie so she'll just have to deal. If only her old feelings toward Cade weren't still there.

As the two spend more time around each other, Cade is dying to explain to Fiona what happened back then, but Fiona is so angry and has so many walls up that he's not sure she'll eve

Fiona works as a secretary at an insurance firm but has to go back home to take care of her Grammie when she injured herself in the old house where Fiona expended summers as a younger. That house collects many of her best memories, but also was the place where Cade, her youth's love, broke her heart ten years ago. What is her surprise when discovers that Grammie has hired him to repair the house. Will Fiona get the answers she always wanted from Cade? Will their relationship be over definit

An outstanding read second chance romance that is well written. The storyline is very interesting, funny, witty, action-packed, and absolutely amazing. The characters are well-developed, the chemistry between them is potent and intense; the sex scenes are descriptive, hot, and off the charts. A really enjoyable read. I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

So boring...

I found myself skipping over stuff... it was just too mundane. No real plot. Two-dimensional characters. I felt no connections to any of it. Just... a terrible book. Sorry if you're a fan of the author, but this was not good writing.

This wasn't a bad book. I would have liked it better if Fiona wasn't a pain in the butt. She was so whiny the whole time. Cade screwed up in the past but you didn't have to act like that. Thankfully she got it together in the end. I was happy that they got their HEA.

ARC review for HIDDEN GEMS
If nothing else, you will fall in love with the characters. Grammie is a fun loving, scheming, smart as whip grandma that anyone would love to go on a Mexican vacation with :). The minute you meet Cade you pretty much fall in love. He has a big heart and drops everything for Grammie. They are not blood related but he treats her as if she is. Fiona is also someone that you will like. The story is filled with funny scenes and fun dialogue along with sexy times between Fio

I absolutely adored reading this heart wrenching story of young love gone wrong. This is an emotional read. There is urgency because the mischievous, eccentric Grammie hurt herself and needs Fiona to come home after ten years of living two hours away. There is trepidation on Fiona's behalf. She has been away from her childhood home running away from the painful memories of Cade. Her childhood best friend who became her everything and then disappeared. He was her first love, her other half, her g ...more

Not Over You is a second chance at love romance. Cade and Fiona met in early teenhood. Every summer at Fiona's grandparents' house, Cade and Fiona became each other's best friend. Eventually, they fell in love, but life separated them. Ten years later, Fiona and Cade are summoned to her grandparents' country house again because Fiona's grandmother has fallen and needs care. Much as changed in their lives, and Fiona's heart has never healed from Cade's heart-break. Can they remember who they were ...more

This story was great!! I have to say it was not looking good from the beginning but it picked up as it went on. If it wasn’t for Fiona’s Grammie I would have thought it was a little boring. But Grammie Rose made the book a lot more interesting. Not only did she fake her injuries but she was a very sassy grandmother. She made me want to be her. The way she talked to Cade Sawyer and Fiona Helms her only granddaughter was hilarious 🤣 I laughed my ass off. Fiona was the very predictable young lady, ...more

I am a fairly new reader to R.S. Lively and all I can do, as an avid fan of romance, is assure you that R.S. has packed an incredible amount of creativity between the pages of Not Over You. You'll have yourself as engrossed as I found myself with the second chance Cade gets with his everything, his heart and soul... his Fiona.

After a decade apart and wondering what went wrong, as well as what exactly happened; Fiona is about to discover all that she never knew. Secrets hurt, however, the old ad

I enjoyed this book, but thought it got drug out a little. Fiona has come back to the small town where her heart was broken years ago to care for her grandmother. She is not sure why her grandmother has come back to the country house where they had mostly spent summers when she was young, or exactly how her Grammie hurt herself, she just knows she really doesn't want to be here again. When she arrives and sees the condition of the house she is even more convinced she doesn't want to stay here. W ...more

3.5 stars💕🔥
Positives: I liked the humor, the sense of unease and danger introduced by the villain, and the youthful backstories of hero builder Cade and heroine Fiona. The author also maintained some dramatic tension by feeding details of their past in pieces as the story progressed and ended with no cliffhangers. For those looking for longing glimpses of ripped abs (and more😜), and

This is a standalone second chance romance.

Cade and Fiona were childhood friends in their teens and spent summers together at her grandparent’s country house. However the connection they had never materialised into love. They suddenly parted ways after things were said and misunderstandings put in place. Fast forward a decade and they both find themselves back at the same house where they shared their past.

This was a book of two halves and I struggled with the first half. It was trying too har

It was a decent read. Just not great. He left her to give her better opportunity. She felt jilted because he left her standing alone when he was supposed to meet and run off with her. They don't speak for 10+ years to figure out what the hell happened. Forced together by her grandma under false pretenses they rediscover their love. Anger and issues arise throughout.
I wasn't really too impressed with either character. Supposedly he left her jilted and yet he acts snippy with her? Shouldn't

WOW!!! I absolutely loved this book. I would definitely give it 5+ stars if I could. I’ve become a fast fan of R.S. Lively. This story is very well written, the story line makes sense and the characters are fan-blooming-tasting. Did I mention that I absolutely loved this story. The book is about Fiona and Cade. They have a very long history. They met as children and became closer as each year passed. When Fiona turned eighteen she thought they were finally going to take the step towards a life t ...more

How old are these characters supposed to be?

Normally I would hang in there longer but I'm only at 19% and I give up. I don't like the H or h AT ALL. They speak to one another like my 7-year old speaks. I can't remember how old they are supposed to be, but the H is a "billionaire" (of course) so they should be speaking/thinking like adults, right?

But this is literally dialogue I just read:
h- "I won't kill him if he doesn't kill me first."
H- "How exactly do you suggest you kill me if I get you fir

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the second chance romance between Fiona and Cade. Fiona and Cade met when Fiona went to her grandparents country home for the summers and Cade was learning woodworking from her grandfather. Fiona and Cade were best friends and then Cade left when Fiona was 18 and he never came back for her. Fiona is now living in the city and when her grandmother calls to say she is hurt and needs her help, Fiona goes home right away, only her grandmother also ...more

I enjoyed this second chance, secret billionaire love story. Fiona hasn't visited her Grammie in a while; there's too many painful memories for her. But when Grammie is injured, Fiona does her best to push past her anger to help her surrogate parent. Cade has changed since Fiona has last seen him. There's so much she doesn't know, and didn’t understand. Fiona is tired of people leading her to do “what's best” and she lets them all know it. Grammie is a great secondary character. Not Over You by R. S. Lively was a entertaining and interesting storyline that can at times bring a tear to your eye or make you laugh out loud.. This was a well written story with some really great characters, Cade and Fiona were childhood friends and then one day they cross that line and the next thing Fiona knows Cade is gone without a word and leaves Fiona heartbroken. Now Cade is back is there a chance for these two? Only time will tell. A second chance romance that keeps you hooked and tur ...more

That's the sound of disgust I made when I had to read yet another "i did it all for you" speech when the H ghosts the h and breaks her heart. I'll spare you the sounds of the puking in my mouth when I got to where he tells her how she was too precious to him to have sex with, so he had other girlfriends, but he didnt choose them, he chose abandoning her without a word after he slept with other girls. Ugh. I think that sums up the whole book. Not to mention she's constantly apologizin

Awesome contemporary second chance romance. Fiona rushed home to care for her grandmother after she fell. She hasn't returned home in a decade because the memories there hurt but she's willing to do what she has to. Cade gets a call from Grammie telling him that she got hurt and needs him to make repairs. Neither Cade or Fiona were expecting to ever see one another again. Cade left her years ago without any explanation and that has festered. At first they clash but the longer they are exposed to ...more

Situations sometimes really aren’t what they’re described as being.
Although not the main character, Esme is hysterical and adds a lot of “zest” to the beginning of the story. Grammie herself isn’t too bad either in the humor and tricks department, as she is absolutely unpredictable. It appears that Grammie has been seriously injured and requires Fiona's assistance for an unknown period of time. When Fiona flies to her side, she is greeted by Cade who lived with her grandparents because of his ho

This is one amazingly emotional romance! 💞😍😭💞

This book is so good! I was pulled in, right from the start and could not put it down until I finished it. 💕💗💕

Fiona and Cade had loved each other since she was eleven and he was thirteen. She was raised by her grandparents after losing her parents in a car accident when she was little. He met them while trying to avoid his own parents. They spent every moment together that they could and wanted to be together forever. Unfortunately, life doesn't alway
