I’ve made lots of mistakes.

But never one like this.

Back in high school, the girl next door spent a serendipitous night in my arms. But she wasn’t my type or really up to my level.

So I walked away not knowing her secret—our secret.

Years later, I’m still at the top of my game, ruling my own chunk of the world.

She walks into my office a different woman. Strong,

But based upon her internal monologue and her sexual confidence around Sean, I think it's safe to assume that she has gained some sexual experience in the seven years since she lost her virginity to Sean.(less)

I tried this because the author is male. I don't read a lot of male written Romance.

It was meh. Typical jock/not-popular girl trope. + a baby

My Rating: Four Sexy Stars****
I became a Weston Parker fan last year after reading Captain Hotness, which I absolutely adored and recommended to several friends. I've purchased at least a dozen more of his books in the last 12 months and loved them all - until now. I didn't dislike My Last

Normally I would do a blog post, but this review will be short, so I'm doing it straight in goodreads.

My Last Chance sounded like a promising second chance romance, and in some ways it was. But the story itself was really flat. There was no character development AT ALL. The whole story seemed super rushed and I have to say that the synopsis really doesn't sell the book well. Lana is a single mom to Peter - Peter isn't much of a character in the story. The summary is making us believe the whole

So, I tried to listen to this one for a tour. But my problem is that the guy doesn't even remember this girl that he slept with and got pregnant even after they lived next door to each other for several years and had been friends before he got to high school and became obviously a total male slut. I'm sorry, but I have an issue with that. So I just couldn't buy into the story enough to get into it.

Romantic read

This book was better than expected. The story is told from both Lana and Sean's povs. Lana is knocked up at the age of 17 by her next door neighbor Sean, who she has had a crush on since she was a child. After he takes her innocence, Sean tells Lana to keep what they did a secret. He walks out of her life and she doesn't know what to do or think when she discovers she is pregnant. Six years later she walks into Sean's life and decides she wants revenge for how he left her. After

Was NOT feeling this book... Definitely wasn't feeling Lana's character, the decision she made and how she goes about things with Sean... I'm usually all for the bad b*tch attitude when needed but her attitude was annoying.. She should have been mad at herself... And yes I get that she was young when she made this HUGE decision and her parents fought with her to change her mind, but NO... It made me look at her different and not in a good light... Sean was ok, nothing to write home about or get ...more

One Night Is Forever..

Can one night of teenage wanting and lust change a young woman's life forever? You bet it can! And it did!

For the fictional character, Lana, in this book, her whole life is turned inside out, upside down, and sideways by a one time virginal fling with Sean, the older neighbor boy she had always had a huge crush on.

He goes on his self absorbed merry way, and never knows. Lana is stuck with the aftermath and the decisions, and all the responsibilities, joys, and sorrows, of

Lana and Sean were next door neighbors, they had a one nightstand that left her pregnant and alone after he left for college. Six years later they meet again when Lana is pitching her Parent App to Sean's company Burbank Marketing. Lana realizes he's still a player and decides to get even for him leaving her all those years ago. This was an emotional rollercoaster ride. The story was written well and had a great plot, good characters and a interesting storyline. If you like second chance romance ...more

My Last Chance it the second Weston Parker book I've read in as many days. Hey, when there's a couple of inches of snow falling every hour and the temperature is in the single digits there's nothing like a good book to help you pass the hours. Anyway, I did really like this book just as I liked the first one. There was one similarity between the two books that really stood out. In both books the heroine does something that nearly destroys the growing relationship between herself and the hero ...more

Amazing Book~

This book was absolutely amazing from its well developed storyline to the main characters, Lana and Sean. She’s an app developer who has just designed one for parent and he is the owner of one of Seattle’s most successful marketing firms. Lana sets up an appointment to go there to discuss having the firm to help her get her app on the market. Imagine her surprise to find that Sean is the owner, not only that, but he is also who took her virginity when she was 17, and impregnated

I have to admit it started kinda slow but as the story went on it just kept getting better and the toward the end it was so heartwarming I cried. Lana starts out a a girl it to pretty kind of a bloodwork need with low self esteem who has a huge crush on the boy next door Sean who's the captain of the basketball team and the most popular guy in high school. She thinks she'd never have a chance with him but then on prom night while she's sitting on her porch writing in her journal Sean pulls

Reunion worth reading

This was my first book to read by Weston Parker and I have to say I'm a fan!
This is a beautifully written second chance romance with a little boy of revenge involved.
Lana and Sean had known one another for along time and she had crushed on him for most of their friendship. Things changed the night on Sean's senior prom. He asked Lana to join him in the hot tub and he took her virginity, and then told her to keep it a secret. He left for business school and she finds out

I wanted to like this story O truly did but it dragged so much I the beginning and the ending seemed rushed. Also I didn't like how Sean was depicted to be the bad boy in this story because Lana was the villain from the hot tub. How could she expect a relationship from a night where he traded one female for her. Sure she had a crush but come on you watched him bring a girl home for the sole purpose to hookup, took her home and basically took her spot. Then when things didn't go the way she

A secret favorite trope.

Sean and Lana grew up together, were neighbors, and had one night of passion in high school that led to the birth of Peter. Now, almost 7 years later, Lana happens to find herself pitching an app that she created to Sean, so his marketing business can represent her. Sean does not seem to remember Lana, so she decides to get revenge on the man that she has grown to hate since that fateful night in the hot tub years ago.

This was a cute story of love and second

Yes, and a small no.

I enjoyed the book, the story and characters. It has a nice HEA.
The only part I didn't care for, was how much she beat herself up, for not telling him that he was a father. My point of view is that, she was very young, he was young, and even more important, he ghosted her.
Her character feels bad, says she lied to him... She didn't lie. She just made a decision that her 17yr old self thought was best.
If she had told him she when she was pregnant, chances are he would have

Sean and Lana was a great one. Sean and Lana hooked back up six years later after sex in his parents hot tub after Sean’s prom date went home after throwing up. Lana was a friend and neighbor who crushed on him. At first they only wanted to see who could get back at the other but working together and falling in love until he thought about her sons age and that Peter was his son too. He got all upset she never told him in six years but I wonder why he felt he did better never contacted her or ...more

Okay, this is another example of why anything Weston Parker writes I automatically one click. We have a stubborn, independent single mother and a equally stubborn, damaged hero. Due to a Prom night encounter, there is a little boy that Sean never knew he had. Lana has done well for herself, building a successful business and supporting her son, and never really thinks she will see Sean again. But, we all know that we just can't plan these things. The chemistry is there from the go and I love how ...more

A nice story

I like Lana is an app designer. I rarely see a romance where the heroine is innovative in high tech. Sean is sexy, but a bit of a jerk. He loves his younger brother and does what he can go help him with his addiction. Sean recognizes Lana, but refused to acknowledge it. Lana still considers him a jerk and does not tell him about her son. They are attracted to each other. There severely scenes and scenes of their family lives. I like that. Their families and the problems they have

LOVED This Story!

This was one of those stories that pulls you in from the start, wraps you up in the emotions of the characters and doesn’t let go. Lana and Sean had changed so much since they were teenagers. She felt overlooked and invisible, even more so after finding out she was pregnant. There were times when I wasn’t sure if they would be able to get beyond their differences or hurt feelings. They had hot chemistry even after six years of separation. I didn’t want it to end! So good!

A reunion worth all the heartache...

Second chances are awesome if there is HEA at the end. Lana Daniels single mom revisits, unintentionally, father of her child while endeavouring to gather investors for her app...she is still bitter but her perceptions slightly warped and tries a bit of revenge. Sadly this backfires. Read her and Sean Burbanks story to rediscovering each other and their chance to make this time happen. Last chance and only chance to make it right all round. To be the family

Weston Parker has become one of my all time favorite authors. His thought process to bring characters to life is just amazing. He makes you feel part of the story, and for me when I am still thinking about a book weeks and months later, the author has succeeded to make me feel passionate about what I read. I encourage you to get to know this author, as I guess he will be at the top of the list for an all time favorite of many.
Thank you Weston Parker for this wonderful book.

Loved it!

I enjoyed reading from this author. I barely like trying new material. But I wanted to give it a try. Mr. Parker surprised me. The characters flowed off each page. Sean struggles with his brother Tyler to motivate him to get his life right. I was disappointed in Lana. I just didn't like that she withheld Sean from knowing his son for six years. It was a selfish of her. But in the end, both received their HEA.

Could have been better

I usually love this type of story. This is the second book like this that I've read in the last week and I really did not like the heroin. I detest the thought of any woman who intentionally keeps a child away from their father for selfish reasons. Just because you baby daddy doesn't want you does not mean a man doesn't want his child. Otherwise it had the potential to be a great book.

My Last Chance

This story is about reconnection. They grew up next door. He took her innocence and left a lasting reminder. Now six year later they are working together on developing an ap for working families to keep up with each other's schedules. While also taking a second chance at where things left off before. What happens when he finds out that he has a son is the plot line. Will there be a second chance at love for them?

Good Story

Super predictable but it is a sweet story. I just think there were a few things that were kind of off, timing wise... Peter is A six year old kid but the last time Sean and Lana met was 6 years ago... Do I have my math off?
Also, Sean talking to Peter about the bully in the school and Peter being excited to go to school and when it came to the day off there was no mention of him facing his fears...
It's not a big deal but they throw me off.

It was one of the best books I've read in a long time you can see it happening even in today's world it was heartwarming sad and happy you can't believe the ending You Don't See where or how they're going to get to that end but it was fantastic I really enjoyed it. Get some kleenexes and a good drink that you like to drink and sit back and enjoy a book that you don't want to put down. Good Reading

Who ever thought a man couldn’t write a hot, sexy, second-chance with a billionaire romance? Weston Parker has and I personally thought it was great. Okay, so his sister helped him, big deal. The story has a great storyline, well-rounded characters, and is hot, hot, HOT.
