Another chance to make a night gone bad very, very right. Payton Ricci is the last person Wes Hoffman ever expected or wanted to see again. After the disastrous sexual experience between them twelve years ago, he was only too happy to put the whole episode behind him. After all, he’s come a long way since that awkward encounter between two gawky teenagers, and his ego needs no reminder. The night he sees Payton—a very sexy grown up Payton—in Zack’s Bar and Grill, he’s mortified by this blast from the past. Payton harbors no such reservations about seeing Wes again, and it’s clear she wouldn’t mind catching up on old times. However, Wes can’t get over his mental block where she’s concerned. But that’s nothing a blindfold and a little mad seduction scheme can’t fix, and Payton is a very determined woman.

Undenied is a easy novella. With Miss Banks signature BDSM, the story is very light. If you need something easy, no plot/ drama and really hot sexy times, pick thos book.

It has been a while since I read Miss Banks. After not so good choice on my books lately, I really need something easy and light. The sex is hot. So have a red wine and read this book.

Plan of Attack

Maya Banks Unspoken bk 03 Undenied

Payton Ricci and Wes Hoffman have history. One that she's moved on from, but he hasn't. It's actually kind of comical. Fine, it's completely hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣 Her plan of attack leads to an extremely hot encounter.

"Let me put it into terms you can't possibly misunderstand. You feel that? Nothing. I may as well be a fucking eunuch. You're a gorgeous woman. I should be a walking hard-on around you, instead I'll likely have to shove my finger up my ass to push my dick back out of hiding."
🤣🤣 bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha... 🤣🤣

These two get plenty wrong, but not, oh boy, do I like it when they get things right. 🔥🔥🔥 The romance and seduction are wonderful.

I like the friendships that Wes has with the prior characters in the series, who make frequent appearances. I love how Gracie takes him to task on a few occasions. I also love how they all accept Payton.

I borrowed a copy of the audio book. The narrator is Chandra Skyye. I still think she does a good job with the ladies, but just OK with the guys.

The plot in these books is mostly nonexistent and they’d definitely go on AO3 with a Porn Without Plot tag, but they’re quick and easy reads if you’re just looking for something to pass the time, that you don’t have to think much about.

I listened to the audio of this book and the previous ones and the Southern accent of the narrator almost made these feel a bit too cliché. I say that, because they do read as dated, mostly because of the language used (eg. the guys calling their friends “pussies”, making somewhat sexist/misogynistic remarks, etc.). They definitely read as a group of Southern good ‘ole boys, with the exception of the second book, which was my favorite. I certainly feel as though, had I read these when they came out, I would not have noticed it as much, but being that it’s 2021, it stuck out like a sore thumb.

I skip read this because it has a lot of sex scenes and absolutely no plot. Not interesting for me. I understand it is a short story, but it could have been better

Payton and Wes

I really enjoyed Wes from the book before. He was sweet and kind but totally had this naughty streak.
This book is explosive with heat don’t get me wrong but I didn’t see the kinky naughty guy, and I kind of missed that.

Payton never thought she would enjoy a bachelorette party until sees Wes only he can’t get away from her fast enough.
So she takes matters in to her own hands and find Wes to find out what or why he ran away.
Like I said the chemistry between these 2 is great. I enjoyed the story just not as much as the other 2 books.
Still worth the listen.

Sometimes you just want a predictable fluffy romance novel. This one is very well written and just original enough to keep your interest.

No sabía que era una serie y me he perdido algunas referencias que seguro que le daban más empaque a la novela. Corta, al grano y algo precipitada en su resolución. Me gusta como escribe Banks, pero estas novelas cortitas no consiguen que me las crea.

Lately I've been a bit disappointed with Maya's books because they seems unrealistic and rushed (Navy Seal series). However, this book was surprisingly pretty good with dynamics of sexual attractions and communication flaws we all face on a daily basis.

The book was just too much B. S. especially when grace says payton has to be ok with him having had a 3some with grace and her husband and still being friends.... im sorry but it sounds so unreasonable and we are supposed to believe that everything got resolved so quickly. No thanks

Love the depiction of a close intimate friend group. It was sweet and treated as normal and healthy. Without them, the insufferable lead would've ruined the story before it began. He is full of himself, and has hangups about romance making you weak and lesser, so he's a jerk when he realizes he too might be in love.

And wow what a cheesy ending. Could barely take it seriously. The put on southern accent every time there was dialogue all throughout the audiobook didn't help.

Did not like it. Really weird interactions between Wes and his friends wives that he would sleep with them in an instant. He did have threesomes with Luke and Gracie in previous book. Also question I had when Gracie announced pregnant "condoms aren't 100% effective, how do they know for sure Wes isn't the father?". Np.

I think this short story (and the series overall) would have been better if they just focused on the erotic part of the story because it doesn’t feel like the characters love is real. I think Maya Banks has shown she can write stories with characters who have chemistry and a decent plot but this story was just too short for her to create proper chemistry between the characters.

We finally get Wes's HEA. At first Wes reunites with Payton and former girlfriend from the past and has a huge mental block that is affecting his ability to perform. But Payton is determined to bed him and all it takes is a blindfold and passionate seduction. This book had a passionate storyline and the sex was just as passionate. This book was so good and would totally recommend it to anyone.

Short and sexy. Wes Hoffman runs into the first girl he was ever with, and their experience was less than satisfying. He's embarrassed, but Payton Ricci is happy to see him. She wants to give them another shot, and before long he's hooked. Too short to get to know the characters, but still a fun read.

Wes and Payton were each others first, and he always felt like he failed her. So when he runs into her he runs for the hills. Payton is very confidant woman and runs Wes down. He was kind of a idiot. Shorter story, good sex scenes.

Same feelings as the previous two books in the series. Though I was deleted to find out that this series was older work compared to previous books I’ve read from this author. I’ll stick to her newer works.

Payton and Wes prove that although first times are clumsy, you should always go back for seconds - even if it is years later. A great read filled with hot, angsty sex and passion that leaps off the page.

Wes and Payton

They rekindled a relationship where they were both first time lovers. They both remembered the experience differently. They learned to compromise and deal with being in 2 separate places. Their love was undenied.

Rarely give this low of a rating. Forgettable plot. Only finished bc I am not a quitter and read books 1&2 so felt I should finish the series. Not best series by author IMO. Think I prefer more of Megan March’s books and had only read this series after liking the Colter Series of Maya Banks

This book was a little more simpler than the other 2 in the trilogy but I liked it none the less. I think I would have loved it more had I read it rather than listened bc then I would associate more with it. But I would definitely read this trilogy again.
