I'm always excited to review books for people especially animal books like this one. First What did I expect? I set the bar high and wasn't disappointed. In fact, I wish I had a lot more stars to rate this book because it deserves more than 5 stars. I would give it 12 stars. That's how good this book was.
I loved this short book. It tells what can happen when cats are abandoned or neglected, what happens when a cat finds a compassionate, loving forever family that loves and makes them part of the family. It also shows the reaction of people who don't want anymore cats. This book covers everything that can happen and what happens in the end with a loving family. I'll be reading this book again for sure. I hope to get the paperback. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would.
Thanks Ellen for writing this book.

I've read both online version and the paperback version and I like the paperback version the best. I think its because it's more colorful which brings the book to life more. I just loved this book. I give this book 5+ stars. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this book a 20. It's that good. I recommend it. Who can read it? Why Everyone. So Before you shop for a pet please I ask you to read this book then consider no do more than consider go check out out the pets at your local shelter. Just make sure they are reputable.

By now all of our readers know that we here at McClendon Villa are animal lovers. That is why we love Prancie's Prayer by Ellen J. Pilch, which was illustrated by Nicolas Peruzzo. It is such a wonderful story. It shows that animals are part of the Kingdom, too.

This story is Christian-based. It takes place around Christmas, so it would make a wonderful Christmas present, or early Christmas present, for your kids.

This very heartwarming story is extremely well-written and the illustrations are magnificent. We give it all five stars and a can of tuna. You are looking for a great gift for your young child. You could not do better than Prancie's Prayer.

A cat gets a new home at Christmas time!

It’s a cold winter and a cat has been left in a forest to fend for herself. The sad kitty roams until she finds a house where the people are outside, decorating for Christmas. She’s hesitant to approach them and curls up to sleep in the manger scene, but the next day she’s still cold, hungry, and homeless, so she begins to meow at the door.

As the story unfolds we see that the people are kind, the spirit of the Christmas season will prevail, and the cat will get a forever home. Based on the author’s experiences of adopting stray cats, the book ends on a note of sweetness. It’s an excellent story for children, showing them that even in a world that can be cold and harsh, kindness does exist. Nicolas Peruzzo’s illustrations work well with the text. This book would be good for any time of year, but of course it’s perfect for the Christmas season.

I won Prancie's Prayer in a giveaway, and I am so glad I did! It's a touching story of an abandoned kitty, Pranice, and how she eventually found her new home and family. It's an endearing tale that both children and adults will enjoy. The accompanying illustrations make it even more special.

What a sweet book! Yes it’s short. But it just what we need, a good story that leaves us smiling!! It’s mainly a children’s book, and...a real cat lover's book!! Oh, I hope there will be more!!
