Having learned not to negotiate with his heart on his sleeve, Subaru suggests an alliance with Crusch Karsten's camp. To sweeten the deal, he offers to provide intel vital to their mutual survival: when and where the monstrous "white whale" will appear!
With Rem's full support, Subaru gains new strength to fight against the dark fate that has been handed to him and his friends. Learning from his past mistakes he is able to enter negotiations to gain allies to help fight against the cult and to handle a common enemy in the sky whale whom he learned where and when it would appear thanks to one of his previous lives.
The action really picks up as Subaru's experience and heart reaches out the others as they all prepare to assault he vile sky whale. The beast is insanely powerful and by the end of the volume things may even seem hopeless but unlike the darkness that almost swallowed Subaru in previous volumes now Rem's light gives him courage as he prepares to give everything he has to help stop the gigantic foe.
The whales multiply. The story takes up a lot of space and the plates are really well constructed. They deserve a larger format. Subaru recovers from the depression expressed in the previous volume and manages to gather an army with conviction and sincerity.
