Sam Sullivan has spent the last year of his life paralyzed. Unable to afford the state of the art surgery needed to repair his spinal cord, Sam has lost all hope. But when the first fully immersive virtual reality game goes live, Sam is given a second chance at life.
Rebirth Online offers players action, adventure, and a chance at real world riches. If Sam can rise through the ranks and claim his kingdom, he just might be able to earn enough money to afford the surgery he so badly needs.
Sam enters Rebirth Online excited to begin his adventure, but within fifteen minutes of spawning in the game, he is robbed, beaten, and left for dead.
He wakes to find himself in the care of Anna, a beautiful elf healer. Together they discover that he has an unbelievable special ability, one that allows him to instantly level. To use it, he must grind - literally - with the girls in his guild.
The only problem - A twelve hour cool down.
As Sam’s guild grows, he and Anna are joined by a beautiful human warrior, a feisty drow assassin, and a flighty female Furry. But when a run-in with a high level player named Kincaid ends with Anna’s kidnapping, Sam and his girls must pull all the punches to get their guild mate back. In the process, they uncover a secret with the potential to bring the entire game crashing down.

Rebirth Online is a litRPG Harem fantasy adventure with adult themes. Not intended for children.
I spent my youth in the land of make believe. School was a bore, and growing up in the "Boonies" without cable television forced me to use my imagination. If I wasn't holed up in my bedroom playing with my vast collection of action figures, I could be found in the forest with a wooden sword or staff in hand, battling the forces of evil. As an 80's kid, I was raised on a healthy diet of movies like Star Wars, The Neverending Story, Labyrinth, Goonies, and endless other classic (but strange) movies.
As a reader, I enjoy books that take off right out of the gate, sweep me off my feet, and whisk me away on an epic adventure. As an author, I try to create books that do the same for my readers. I write fantasy, and I suppose that I still live in a land of make believe, except now I get to share the adventure with others.
I hope that you will join me on my next adventure, and together we can escape reality, if only for a time.
It is actually pretty sad how bad this book is. Honestly this type of premise "A person levels up both himself and his partner when having sex" is beyond insane No company would allow that to happen by random chance BUT if Ploof had tried harder he could have incorporated it into the game world better Such as a hidden Incubus class.
Also this premise ruins the story because instead of doing anything interesting every 12 hrs the women around him are just hounding him for sex.
I'm not even a lawyer but legally speaking this game would have been shut down immediately
-Ploof made a point in the beginning to mention how healing potions are highly addictive and it has already become a major problem in the game world...One NO ONE WOULD ALLOW THAT! That is something that the beta players would have found out about and it would have been patched out immediately. Two it is never mentioned again the MC drinks multiple bottles of health potions and it never affects him again.
- The entire ending of the book is just ridiculous
Also this book contains my biggest pet peeve in any book the "then everyone clapped" Other players started to gawk at him and his harem and I just gagged
LOL!, Another one of those MC's who is "to good to kill" he won't even kill another player because "he isn't that kind of guy" in a made up world where nothing is real he acts like a 5 year old boy. such a stupid book waste of time and money.
I hate this book. The writing is so bad! It is going to take me some time to write s Gil review. But the short version is that the author is bad. He writes like he is 12 years old, no character development, lots of cursing, doesn’t understand sex or women, has tons of plot holes and things that make no sense, and all the characters whether make or female sound exactly like the MC and the narration. This book is garbage. Spend your money and time else where on better litrpg and harem books.
This is one of the lazier litRPG setups I've come across. It has the 'immediately entering the game' trope with next to no backstory besides that the guy is paralyzed (note to the author: Paraplegic is not the same thing as paralyzed.) Author goes to great length to describe how literally any species is available to play as, even custom races... chooses human. Maybe he can balance out that boring choice with an interesting class... standard fire mage. -_-
But, everyone gets a unique personal skill, maybe that'll be interesting. Kind of O_o. The skill really results in making the genre of the book confusing. Power leveling through coitus should result in just some dumb, explicit lemon story. Strangely, he mostly (but not completely) skips over the gratuitous parts. It's like he couldn't commit one way or the other to the story.
Anyways, most of the book is just boring mob killing for xp and harem building. About 75% of the way in, the book actually does get pretty good and so earns a star back. Not sure if it's worth continuing or not.
I originally gave this book 4 stars. While it was a cheese-fest, I still found it to be an enjoyable and quick read.
However, on my second read of this, I found several issues that bothered me enough to bring me out of the story. I read for enjoyment and never expected this book to be a shining beacon of literary prose, but I do expect the underlying plot to make some sense. While other readers have pointed out many other issues with the book, I will just point out the worst in my opinion.
After all of the events take place and Sam is handed a golden opportunity to get his surgery paid for by the company, he turns it down in order to "grind" for the money. Why?? The story could still go on with him enjoying the game and spending time with his "warrior women." It just doesn't make sense to turn away from that in the hope that someday, he might be able to earn enough gold in game to pay for his surgery.
I can look past most of the issues in this book and still enjoy the action, but this really obliterated the story for me.
A great premise but it lands like a wet fish and flops around.
"Later..." is an overused euphemism keeping it almost to the adolescent virgin level of sexual innuendo and experience. The characters would be interesting if they had a story to work around, the villain is not very believable and relies on deus ex machina that would be game ending for what ever company put out the game. The MC spends real money and enters the game wholly unprepared in a very suspended belief manner.
Rebirth Online starts with an intriguing premise: Sam, a man paralyzed in real life, enters a fully immersive VRMMORPG in the hope of rebuilding his life and possibly funding his real-world surgery. I was excited for the mix of litRPG mechanics, emotional stakes, and adventure.
Unfortunately, after a promising beginning, the story quickly veers off course. It feels like something a 14-year-old hormonal boy might have written—way too much focus on sex and not nearly enough on actual plot or world-building. The game mechanics had potential, but were overshadowed by constant intimate encounters because the MMC levels when he is having sex.
The characters felt flat and one-dimensional, especially the female ones, who mostly seemed to exist to boost the main character’s powers and/or their own. What could have been an interesting journey of growth and a real adventure turned into a shallow harem fantasy with very little depth.
Disappointing overall—I wanted more story, more character development, and a lot less intercourse.
The problem with having an Over-Powered (OP) skill that levels up while having sexual intercourse, is that it requires consent from the players involved, from the Artificial Intelligence NPC's (Non Player Characters) involved otherwise the game company, developers and players will have legal litigation constantly that will close the game down and bankrupt the game company for sure. The author goes a step further and allows sexual assaults, abductions and rape from the players. This is way worse. Who in their right mind is going to spend thousands of dollars for a total immersion cabin, subscription services to a game that "sexually assaults, abducts and rapes them" whenever the hell other players want to?? Where are the police reports? The District Attorney's lawsuits and fines to the players, the game company, the developers and everybody involved? Guy players think that it would be "cool" to have abilities like these, until the moment they get "gang-raped" by the same group of deviants/criminals/bullies... Sex is a two way street, without consent, even the NPC's (monsters and mobs) could abduct, enslave and rape the players constantly until they quit the game for sure. Imagine that the players getting sexually assaulted, raped and abducted are minors? The author is legally responsible for promoting crimes whether they are fictional stories (that brainwash victims of these crimes and belittle the crimes themselves)...What about the publisher?? Who in their right minds will help publish a book that promotes sexual assaults, abductions and rapes that are 100% felt by the player victims??? The second big problem with this VRMMORPG game like story is that there is no GAME BALANCE. Having an Over-Powered sex levels up is not available to everybody, and thus the author favors the main character only. Developers and game designers stress the need to have GAME BALANCE because without it, the regular gamers are going to stop playing this abduction and raping game because it is unsafe and because it is unfair. It doesn't matter whether the rapist is mentally challenged, physically challenged or just a regular criminal... The moment the player criminals find out that the main character can level them up twice a day while having sex with him, they will abduct him, enslave him and gang-rape him twice a day until they close the game down. Fun, fun, a hell-like game of rape, abduction and violence of an irresponsible author, that does not think of the consequences of his writings...
Everything feel so forced. Forcefully pushed the protagonist into becoming the "Hero". All the women have zero qualm having sex with him, whatever relationship they have is so cringing and fakes. Of course the villain is an evil sociopath that think his a god of the world. And who else but Sam to be the hero to save all.

Will not continue series. Reads like a 12 year old boy's fantasy. Would be fine if the MC was 12 but he's 24. Don't recommend... unless you like poorly written harem stories.
The writing is decent, and the story is okay, so I didn't want to drop the review too harshly, but I got this recommended to me via Audible before I even knew it was a Harem book. That was my fault as I didn't check before starting it.
I am not rating it poorly because of that however, but mainly because of the Game world. The story is about a person that is a paraplegic that goes into a revolutionary new Full immersion VR (think SAO) and this is supposed to be the new reality people live in. The only problem...
The Game is just not good. Based on the rules of the world, this would be a failed game that not many would want to play. If you are going to revolutionize the World and want everybody to spend time in a game. You don't make dumb rules like if you die you lose all of your gear, or you have to get back to your corpse within 60 seconds or you basically can't play anymore until some random nice person decides to resurrect you which could be days, months, years, or never depending on where you die. Oh, you can also get sexually assaulted without the guards doing anything as a bonus.
So, This is a pass for me. The story is okay, but the game world and laws just aren't believable that people would even play this game. If you aren't a gamer and can suspend believe a bit, the novel may be decent overall (thus the 3 rating, and not 1 or 2).
I love games and gaming and skyrim and red dead redemption are two of my very favorite games.i gotta daddy it's like this book was written just for me.MJP, this book simply made my heart song (and sometimes) cry 😢. This was the best book ever! Action, adventure, comedy and, of course, romance. Sam Sullivan definitely had a special skill that net him a harem of beautiful women and the ability to level himself and them up consistently. Only drawback was the 12 hour cool down, but what the heck, as long as it worked, right?? I loved this premise of life in a very real virtual reality game. Action was intense, which made the final battle more exciting. Of course, good always wins over evil. Sam and his guild have definitely captured my heart and I hope more adventures are forthcoming in this series. I really like this genre and plan to read more like this.
This book was fairly typical of this genre, not my favourite by any means but an ok read.
The main character was a quadriplegic in real life and couldn't move or communicate, so chose to use his settlement funds to buy his way into this new VR game. Once inside, there were quests, learning new magical spells, fighting ogres, collecting coins, potions and health. Typical stuff.
I did find it particularly amusing that the main character's 'Special Ability' (in game) was to have sex with other characters and then, once orgasm was reached, both he, and they, 'levelled up'. Funny that his Guild was only full on hot babes.
Fast and furious would be the best way to describe this book. The story was decent but linear, the dialogue was entertaining and the harem was wonderful but it everything was too fast. Not a lot of character development and I can't help but wonder if the book would've been better if the world was developed more in writing? I'll probably read the second book if the author does put one out. Give it a read if you're looking for something quick and entertaining.
Loved the premise of this book. Swift, fun & sexy read. Loads of battles, magic & fantastical creatures. Reads fast, keeps pace with a good plot & epic heroes. Left wanting more from Sam & his Guildies.
I enjoyed this book from start to end. The author continues to write books that are almost impossible to put down. There are no slow parts of the book and you really connect with the characters. I can’t wait for the next one in the series.
Ok the book was not bad or badly written it was just way too predictable. The author kind of hit every single normal plot point in the book. Overall it's ok and worth reading but nothing spectacular.
Wasn’t sure what to expect with is but have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with is book. Great story with a lot of action and a great plot. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
I’m not very good at leaving reviews but I will try. I like how the MC is helpless in one way and powerful in another. It was an all around fun book to read and I can’t wait for the next one to be released.
This book has everything harem, action levels good characters and a good storyline also it’s not the usual harem litrpg, there is sex however it isn’t overbearing. Starting book 2.
This was a great start. I'm definitely impressed and looking forward to seeing where the story takes us from here! Decent start, plenty of action and development with a couple twists too.
An enjoyable and fun ride through this lirtpg adventure. Meet Sam a paraplegic who wants to play Rebirth Online continuously. Watch him get beaten up then rise in the game as he finds the way it works.
MC with disabled body goes into a RPG world and his special ability is to level when having sex... It is not as bad as the base idea sounds. For a lazy afternoon it is okay, but I would really not read another one.
I usually do not write reviews because I never know what to say but I have to say I read this book in one day! For me that’s a miracle! Getting the next book now!
A LitRPG story. Interesting power with leveling (grinding). The bad guy of the story is a “bad guy”. I enjoyed story. Note: there are situations in the book.
