My best friend, Liam Mattison, was born with snow in his veins.

Me? Ice.

Maybe that’s why my eyes are this color. Maybe it’s because I was born in Caribou, where there’s more snow than sun.

I always knew I had a chill within me, but after my time with the army, that chill froze over. I saw and did things most people couldn’t fathom. I made contacts with people who were more b

Stunning finale!

I wanted Alex's book from the moment I met him in Avalanche. He's this mix of charming, sexy and mysterious that you can't possibly resist. He makes you notice him. Makes you want to know more about him.

So through three books (really good book, just to add) we watch Bellamy and Liam fall in love and deal with the dark reality of their lives, with a just occasional glimpse of Alex and not even a single female you can say "she's the one for him". That's because she was miles away,

Oh I had been waiting for Alex’s book since the first book in the BearPaw series and boy it did not disappoint one bit. We knew Alex pretty well at this point, and knew some of his past but not many details... we got them all in this book - his past in the army and the girl he had left behind years ago.

I felt like this book was much softer than the past books and after everything these characters had been through their whole lives, I’m very thankful for it. But don’t worry

⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 4.5 stars! Review to come.

I have been anticipating Alex's book once I found out he was having one and let me just say that within the first few pages and chapters I was already hooked. He was always a character that was intriguing to me and right off the bat the feels have begun....mystery, suspense, and all. Looking forward to more..

4.5 Stars for this suspenseful book.

I really liked Alex and Sabrina's story. I've always been curious about this character from the previous book and I liked that there was a past between the two, and they didn't have to start from scratch so to speak, especially since this book is a standalone.

It was a fast read and the characters, with their undeniable chemistry, kept me hooked to the pages and rooting for them. If I had to compare it to the previous books, I'd say this one was more straighfor

A miss for me ...

I feel bad because I love this author and her series but this book was a miss for me, and it is really over 1 reason. So, consider it a spoiler.

The plot was good - we knew Alex was a special ops and probably would be called back or something to that nature after the other books ... and having the 2nd chance romance be one of his teams sister was sweet. I enjoyed Sabrina and her wit and toughness.
I have a HUGE pet peeve after couples having passionate sex after

What a way to end a series! I wanted to know more about Alex from the moment I met him. And this story lives up to everything! As is always the case with Cambria Hebert, this book, this whole series sucks you in and gives you all the feels. I adore the characters, I adore BearPaw resort. I want to live there, I want to meet Liam, Alex, Bellamy and Sabrina. Hebert is brilliant and writing a family of characters, a family you want to spend lots of time with.

Hebert is my go to author, any book she

I really enjoyed the first three books in this series, so I was excited when the author announced that she was releasing a fourth book for a secondary character from the first three books! I then waited patiently for this book to release and then received a copy a few days early from the author! I had luckily just finished my current read, so I was able to start reading this book straightaway! After reading, I have to say that I really enjoyed this book! It had me invested in it right from the f ...more

>Book review – Subzero
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 4th in the Bear Paw Resort series and ends in an HEA. Alex has been Liam’s side kick in the first 3 books in this series. He has a mysterious past and an unfailing sense of honor. For once, a character’s family life was fairly normal. Alex was screwed up due to his military service. His military brother, Daniel, asks Alex to protect a woman Alex once loved, Sabrina. Sabrina is Daniel’s sister and is in love with Alex, bu

A resounding must read!!!
Superbly written story that keeps you waiting on the edge of your seat while holding your breath through the suspenseful twists and turns and you know you won't be okay until you know that the characters are okay then you slowly release the breath you were holding!
it keeps you completely captivated while you ride out so many different emotions (laughter, nervous, tears)!!

Love melts the Ice!

We know Alex from the first three books of the BearPaw Series (Liam & Bellamy’s story), but this is his stand-alone story. I enjoyed it so much! Alex was in the army & got his nickname Ice from his team because he could flip a switch to do his job, go subzero. But Sabrina’s love helps him not go subzero. You can read the blurb to get the gist of the story, but it made me smile & it made me cry. As I’ve said before, this author knows how to write stories & chara

I’m sad to see this series end... But it was an amazing ending.... Alex and Sabrina where to begin?!?!?! Alex is two different people trapped in one amazingly hot body.... He’s Alex the fun loving soft hearted guy who loves his home town and his family ... Then you have Ice , who he becomes when someone is trying to hurt the people he loves... He’s the bada$$ The military trained him to be when needed. Sabrina is so sweet... She has this innocence about her, even tho she hasn’t had the easiest l ...more

Well hello there Alex!

One thing Cambria Hebert dominates is creating lovable intriguing characters. Even when they are created as supporting characters in different books you fall in love and they demand their own story. Alex is a prime example of this.

You fell in love with Alex as the best friend in the beginning of the series as we focused on Liam and Bellamy and now it's his time to shine. I adored the story of Alex and Sabrina. It is a second chance romance and a perfect balance to the the

In Subzero we finally get Alex’s story. I’ve adored him since book one and have been excited to see him get his happy like his best friends Liam and Bellamy.

Alex is a wonderful character. He’s not only protective and gorgeous, but he’s also funny and charming. Sabrina was perfect for him. She’s beautiful and snarky and had no problem standing up to the bossy man Alex could be. I thought it worked out well that Alex and Sabrina had met in the past and were basically torn apart. Cambria did it again! An absolutely incredible read and ending to the Bear Paw series! Subzero is Book #4 in the BearPaw Resort Series. I loved reading Alex’s story and learning what made him who he is. I adored Sabrina and the strength that she inhibits throughout the story. I was on the edge of my seat from the very first page in anticipation of what was going to happen next. It was a suspenseful, action packed read with a beautiful second chance love story woven in between. It had me swooning ...more

This can't be the end

Deep inside Alex is a place that is so empty that nothing can exist: not memory, not emotion, not feeling. It is a place of pure trained instinct. 3 years ago, Alex left Sabrina in order to protect her from that place...the person that he becomes when the switch flips.
I have been waiting since book 1 for Alex's story. Little bits slipped out over the course of Liam and Bellamy's story and now we get it all. Sabrina is the perfect match for Alex. Raised by a brother who taug

So I have wanted Alex’s story from book one. He had a lot to him that we just didn’t know about. I was waiting to see him fall in love only to find out he’s been in love but she was lost to him.

Sabrina is thrown back into Alex’s life She is sassy and fun and gives it to Alex. She’s willing to fight for those she loves while being protected by Alex.

We watch them realize they were meant to be together and love never stopped.

I loved catching up with Alex parents and with Liam and Bellamy.

I've been a fan since #NERD! #RimmelandRomeo! Absolutely LOVED this book as much as the first one! I'm so sad to see it ending! But what about Daniel? Could you possibly do a book for him? I would so like to see that as he's the last one left. Please, if you have any mercy... write Daniel's story! Your book are always such a pleasure to read. Love, angst, suspense, heartache, and that overwhelming feeling of protective, smug alpha male you just wanna throttle sometimes! With a heroi

This is a must read for any Cambria fan

Cambria’s stories have always played out like movies in my head, and Subzero is no different. Her characters are so real and just burrow right into you head and heart. Alex has been an amazing character since his introduction in Avalanche, and I couldn’t wait to get inside his head. Sabrina is a perfect match for him with her headstrong attitude. She is no one’s victim, and fights anyone who tells her what to do.

This is a must read for any Cambria fan, and

Loved it!, Love Alex even more and I want to go to bear paw resort for hot cocoa and cider.
Thank you Cambria for writting Alex's story. I loved him from the beginning and couldn't wait to find out his story. I loved the twists in this one but I wont say more on that as wouldnt want to spoil it for readers.

I wholeheartedly recommended this book to everyone although if you are a new reader to this series I would say to start at book 1. This could be read as a standalone as books 1

Holy cannoli! Hey, I had to make up a phrase in case Shaw happened to see. 😜 Seriously,! I loved Alex and Sabrina so much. This book was a lot darker than anything else I've read of Cambria's, and I think that's why I loved it so much. I also liked that the conflict was external rather than between the couple. That's rare in a romance novel, but I've always liked those stories better. The ones where the couple faces anything that happens to them together an

I was so excited for this book! I’ve loved Alex since the beginning. His past in the army made him cautious and he was always protective of those he cared about. But I really enjoyed seeing that protectiveness crank up several notches when the woman he loved showed up. Sabrina was his perfect match. She loved him. She loved his warm and fuzzy just as much as his ice cold, and that exactly what he needed. I loved seeing how much his family, Liam, and Bellamy recognized who Sabrina was to Alex and ...more

I have been waiting for Alex’s book since we first met him in Avalanche. He is definitely the total package; loyal, protective, funny, caring, sexy and mysterious. Sabrina was a strong heroine that could hold her own against Alex. I’m so glad to see him get his forever. I also loved catching up with Liam and Bellamy. Those two are definitely couple goals. I loved this book and am feeling bittersweet about it ending, as I love the BearPaw series and am sad to see it end.

Wow! What a conclusion to the Bearpaw Resort series. A was lovable from the beginning of the series. Glad he had his own book. Brina was the perfect match for Alex. She didn’t take any of his nonsense, stood up to him, and proved she wasn’t afraid of him. I loved watching them reconnect and Alex show her she was his family. The glimpses into Liam, Bels, and Shaw’s lives were great. I loved the continued banter between the characters. The story was full of family, passion, mystery, some suspense, ...more

I’m so happy that we finally get to know so much more about Alex. He’s so much more than the lovable, over protective bff. This one was pretty much nonstop action and a dose of suspense thrown in. There was a lot going on with him and Sabrina. That poor girl may be small, but she’s scrappy. She was one totally badass fighting machine. What a ride this one was. I’m sad to see the end of this series but I really hope Sabrina’s brother get his own book. I’m intrigued with the whole deep undercover ...more

Ahhhh, I absolutely loved Alex and Sabrina's story. Much like the other books in the series, there was lots of action and drama, and of course Alex makes for one helluva alpha hottie. His protectiveness of Sabrina was unparalleled.

I enjoyed the scenes with Liam and Bellamy also and the strong sense of family that these amazing characters share. I read this book in one sitting as I could not put it down. It was a highly engaging read and I would definitely recommend it!

I loved this novel! I loved the beginning of the series and once again I could not put this novel down. I loved the chemistry between Sabrina and Alex. The dialogue and banter were so good! I loved checking in again with Liam and Bellamy. This novel grabbed me from the very first page to the very last. I loved it! I can't wait to see if Daniel Sabrina's brother gets his own novel. Alex is the best

I was so happy with this finale to Bear Paw. While
I am grated on my nerves with his high-handedness, Alex was fantastic. He definitely tried to take charge but knew from his military experiences that you can’t control it all.

The second chance romance angst went on longer than I expected, but I was glad for it. I didn’t want an easy fix. Both Alex and Brina showed their pain and depth. Wish I could have another helping of these two.

Subzero was perfect!!

Alex and Sabrina were perfect. I've loved Alex from the very first pages where we were introduced to him. He's loyal, funny, charming and an overall great person. You can't help loving him.

Catching up with Liam & Bellamy was great and I'm sad that Bear Paw is over but it doesn't hurt to hope for more. Maybe just maybe Daniel will beg her for a story. (Hint Hint)
