Dirty Filthy Fix is only my second Laurelin Paige book and I can honestly say that I was surprised and delighted by it steamy kinkiness. The main characters were dynamic: T was so fierce in her acceptance of self, regardless of how unconventional her desires might be for society at large and Nathan was fierce enough to match her. The way their relationship played out is too entertaining to spoil by dropping hints here, but I loved every (too short) minute of it and especially how the book closes - with a very appropriately unconventional HEA for the unconventional duo. 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

I can always rely on Kendall Ryan to give me a satisfying read and this was no exception - The Bed Mate is an adorable, friends-to-lovers romance, perfect for an interlude between dark and heavy reads or just when you need a little pick me up. Maggie and Sam were so cute and I loved how everyone around them knew that they were meant to be, while Maggie lived in a bit of denial for a while. The book is a bit of a slow burn (if that is possible given its short length), with much of the book devoted to their individual inner monologues as opposed to interaction with each other. It's actually remarkable that the author was able to craft a story that really made me like and root for the characters in such a short time without making the story feel rushed or haphazard. Just another fine example as to why I love Kendall Ryan and 1001 Dark Nights! 3.75 out 5 wine glasses.

Heartbreaker starts out with a bang in the prologue and doesn't really let up until the end! It's sexy and intense and emotional - with both characters needing to get past their reticence towards relationships and the obstacles in their way so that they can take full advantage of the opportunity for happiness together. As usual with 1001 Dark Nights, this is a great intro to Stacey Kennedy and it totally made me want to read more (specifically the next book in this series, Skirt Chaser, because we get to meet Greyson in this one and YAASSS) from the author! 3.75 out of 5 wine glasses.

1) Midnight Unleashed by Lara Adrian

Tamisia has been banished from the Atlantean colony and has found herself in Rome working at a women's shelter. When a brutal murder in the shelter leaves her shaken she vows to get to the bottom of it.

Trygg is a vampire and is trying to find the lair of Santos, an evil man. When he hears gunfire he heads to the shelter and finds two of Santos's men.

Will Trygg let Sia work with him to get to the bottom of what happened before anyone else gets hurt?

This was a good quick read and the first I have read in this series. It definitely left me with interest in reading more by this author.

I liked Sia but I would have loved more information on why she was forced to leave her Atlantean colony. She seemed like such a great person and I loved her bond with Rosa and Angeline. I loved how powerful she is and I wasn't expecting her confrontation with the two men.

Trygg was mysterious and I liked how he was an assassin but there was something about Sia that could bring him to his knees. He turned his life around and was grateful to the Order for what they did for him.

I looked how Sia was able to figure things out and help Trygg. Towards the end things definitely got tense and I was happy Sia was there.

The very end of the book was pure karma and it was great!

2) Dirty Filthy Fix by Laurelin Paige

Trish is a member of Open Door, a kink group that operates on Saturday nights. Trish has her own rules about what she will and will not participate in and there are various people there that she loves to spend time with. One night she is taken by a complete stranger that leaves her heart racing.

When Trish happens to see the man, Nathan Sinclair, unexpectedly when he shows up for a meeting with her boss, Hudson Pierce, Trish needs to decide if she is willing to merge her two lives.

Will Trish give Nathan a chance or will the idea of commitment scare her off?

This was a super interesting book that is full of kink and exhibition.

I liked Trish and I did like that she had her own guidelines about what she would and wouldn't do. I liked that she was independent and was afraid of what a man would do to her freedom and independence.

I liked Nathan and he exerted an alpha sense where he wanted Trish and he would stop at nothing to have her. Yet Nathan also wanted to possess Trish and hated the other guys coming onto her.

I loved the concession that Nathan gave to Trish and how he truly proved that he was with her for the right reason and would do what it took to hold onto her.

3) The Bed Mate by Kendall Ryan

Maggie is dating Trevor but is best friends with Sam. Lately Trevor seems to be distancing himself from Maggie and Maggie soon discovers why.

Sam is out in Colorado for a guys vacation but when he realizes what Maggie is going through he quickly books her on a plane to come out and see him.

Will Maggie and Sam finally see each other as more than just friends or will Maggie find herself back with Trevor?

This was such a good story with great characters!

I thought Maggie was great and I was surprised when she and Sam were talking about her relationship with Trevor and how open she was but then I wasn't surprised at all with what was revealed. I loved where she went to hide from him and thought it was the perfect spot!

Sam is like the ultimate dream guy!! I can't believe what he did for her - so awesome! My heart broke with the whole brother/sister thing!

Things totally started getting heated but then I was like oh no!!

The end was awesome and ended perfectly!

4) Lucky Number Eleven by Adriana Locke

Layla James Miller was dating football player Callum Worthington until he cheated on her. She writes a lifestyle blog and keeps busy with her friends.

Brandon "Lucky" Best is another football player and teammates with Layla's brother, Finn. He knows Finn wants him no where close to Layla but there is something between them that he can't stay away from.

With Brandon's bad reputation will Layla give him a shot and what is Brandon prepared to give up for Layla?

This was a great quick read with some hot sexual tension and some explosive fights!

I thought Layla was great and had a ton of personality! She had just been through a cheating relationship with Callum and had no desire to get into a relationship with another cheater, Brandon.

I thought the change in Brandon was great when he realized what he wanted. He knew he had to prove himself to Layla and was prepared to do whatever it took.

I loved the showdown between Brandon, Callum and Finn!!

The end was awesome with what Brandon did for Layla!!

5) Heartbreaker by Stacey Kennedy

One year ago Joss O'Neill had the hottest sex of her life in the bathroom of a club with a hot stranger and now she finds herself reporting to him in her new job at the Seattle Police Department.

Police Lieutenant Maddox Hunt has a reputation as a heartbreaker who never goes back for seconds with the women he sleeps with. Yet there is something about Joss that is forbidden and drawing him back in for more.

As the sexual tension builds between Joss and Maddox they both realize they want more but will a no strings attached sexual relationship be enough?

This book was hot!!

There was something about Joss that drew Maddox in for more and he introduced Joss to BDSM and loved to be in control. Yet you also realized that Maddox was changing his own rules by having Joss more than once.

I thought the forbidden part of the romance was great especially with the twist involving the Police Chief.

I liked that Joss was able to realize what she wanted towards the end of the book and I also really liked what was revealed with Maddox's dad.

The end was great and a perfect ending!

The Bed Mate is a standalone novella in the Roommates series. I have read the previous books and loved them all and The Bed Mate is a perfect addition. I will make this short and sweet.

Two best friends. Two recent breakups. One New Year’s weekend in Colorado.

Sam and Maggie have been best friends since college, eight years ago. She has seen him go through women over the years. He has seen her with one man that doesn’t treat her right. And now they are both single together for the first time. Will this finally be the weekend that they see what other’s have seen all along? That they belong together.

This is a novella but it packs a punch. I love Sam and Maggie. Sam is adventurous and Maggie is cautious but as friends they even each other out. It’s perfect really. On the trip they start to notice things they didn’t before. It’s magical and having the book set around Christmas makes it even more.

Overall...it’s a wonderful additional to the series. I was fully invested in this couple. I even cried! That’s hard to do with a novella but it happened. I also laughed so it was a great combo.

Lucky Number Eleven is a complete standalone novel by one badass author, Adriana Locke. I have read and loved all of her books. I just know that I will be addicted to the story and the characters instantly and once again, I was. If adulting didn't get in the way this weekend, I would of read it in one sitting.

Branch Best was warned to stay away from his best friend Finn's sister. Layla knew she should have stayed away from him. But the moment she walked out of the car at the cabin, they felt something. It turned into a weekend of something. A weekend of shameless flirting, sexy secrets, and candied apples. It was a good time but they both knew that was all they could give. She wasn't ready for someone like him. Not again. Maybe not ever. And he knew she was too good for him and his life. They knew the score. He didn't do commitments. Hell, sometimes he didn't even do names. He was straight forward about it. But he knew there was something different about Layla. She wasn't a groupie. She wasn't a one-off. She was smart, sexy, strong, sweet and beautiful in every sense of the word. He didn't want to ruin that. Ruin her. But what if it was too late?

Their one weekend changes everything. Finn finds out about Branch's betrayal. He is livid that Branch could easily go behind his back. After that weekend, both Branch and Layla can't stop thinking about each other but know it's for the best to be apart even though they developed feelings. Branch felt at ease with her. Felt like himself. Layla loved the way Branch made he feel beautiful and wanted. Together they laughed, relaxed, and felt right but wrong at the same time. But, when they see each other again, it's not pretty. It's confusing. Can they get back to how they felt before in that cabin?

Sorry. I can't really say much. I will say that I ❤️ Branch even when I didn't like him. I love him for many reasons but the big one is that he doesn't lie even if it's hurts. He is also hilarious, sexy, and oh so swoon worthy. I also love Layla. She is seriously kick ass. She is everything Branch sees and more. Smart, strong, sexy, and beautiful. Together, their banter is on point. Their chemistry is off the charts. And their story is messy complicated and beautiful at the same time. Oh...I can't forget about Finn and Poppy. They are some of my favorite secondary characters! Omg. I want more!! Of all of them.

Overall...I didn't want it to end! The laughs, heat, and heart was everything!

P.S I want coffee cake! Now.

Another excellent collection and authors I'll be reading more from

I've read quite a few of these 1001 Dark Nights novellas by now, and they're typically meant to give newbies an introduction to the various series/worlds created by the authors involved as well as being something current fans will enjoy. All but one of the series involved here were new to me (though I'd read a couple of the authors before) and all of them worked well as a standalone. That includes even the one paranormal romance in the bunch, something I consider especially impressive given the amount of world building that needs to go into that kind of story. Another excellent collection and authors I'll be reading more from. 5+ stars

Superb world building, interesting characters with nice chemistry, a plot with mystery and suspense that kept me fully engaged plus all the emotions--this story had it all. Lucky Number Eleven By Adriana Locke

Football, best friend's sister, plus another one you'll just have to read for yourself to find out. I'd previously read and enjoyed this author's Landry Family series, so I was looking forward to reading this. Funny, flirty, and, yep, there some angst in there, too. Nice character growth. 5+ stars


Heartbreaker: Filthy Dirty Love By Stacey Kennedy

Erotica/BDSM, taboo romance (police lieutenant and rookie). I'd enjoyed this author's Club Sin series, and more recently the first book in the Kinky Spurs series, so this was another story I was looking forward to reading, and I wasn't disappointed. The perfect mix of hot, sweet and dirty, funny and angsty. 5 stars

A fantastic variety of reads that you won't want to put down once you start it , although Stacey Kennedy is a new author i'd already read & loved Heartbreaker , a blast from the past makes Joss's new job even more exciting than she was expecting & her job isn't the only place she wants to use her handcuffs .Lara Adrian's Midnight Breed books are always brilliant , paranormal , excitement & hint of danger always goes down well . Kendall Ryan's book is an enjoyable romance , Sam & Maggie have been best friends forever , always been each others shoulder to cry on but when friendship starts to turn into something more do they want to risk it , my favourite of the five reads . Adriana Lockes book is the first i've read by her but it won't be the last , a great story of a brother coming between two lovers even though hes only out to protect his sister from his lecherous friend .Laurelin Paige's is so hot my kindle almost burst into flames , kinky , raunchy sex vixen by night & prim , proper assistant by day , how long Trisha can keep her two lives apart now Nathan Sinclair's the one she's having teh hottest , filthiest sex with now .

This is a terrific Dark Nights bundle by a group of fantastic authors and their novellas as an introduction to their series or a nifty little story to go along with the rest of the series. There's something for everyone but I think every story is an enjoyable and entertaining read. Swoon-worthy heroes galore and sweet, sexy heroines in exciting storylines where sexy romance abounds. There's sizzling chemistry with steamy couples, stories full of drama, suspense, intrigue, emotion and a few laughs that will leave you satisfied in the best way. You can't go wrong with this bundle of fabulous stories by some of the best authors in the business. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
