**3.5 i'm trash for reverse-harem smut. rounded up because of tristian**

i confess myself .... disappointed.

the plot in this is really good and i like it. it was complete and consise and not at all a drag. which i appreciate because one thing i hate in a smut book is incompleteness.

what. in. the. ever. loving. fuck. was. that. shit!?

the smut? WHAT SMUT!? the stick-and-poke?!

bruh. when i read a reverse-harem smut story, i expect there to be some fucking off the wal

I love reverse harem fantasy novels, and this one is going into my collection of favorites.

Let me start with the Cassia. She isn't powerless in this one, she always helped them with their monster kills from the start of the novel. She might not have full control over her powers, but she definitely has strong powers and uses them to help the boys at every turn. She is a changeling, a Fae placed into a human home, and she was able to escape in time so that her powers wouldn't be permanently erase

This was interesting. I'm quite a fan of stories revolving faerie's and fae and their world. Anyway, lets get back to my review. I feel slightly bad because I've been in quite the book funk. I can't seem to find anything amazing to entertain me. With that comes high expectations. Until I finally find a book to meet such feelings I probably will be giving out some bad reviews. It happens dudes, I'm sorry.

This wasn't bad at all. It kind of reminds me of the Power of Five series by Alex Lidell. T

I didn't have especially high hopes going into this. Most faerie novels and reverse harem novels I've found in recent memory haven't really done it for me, but I keep trying because I like faeries a lot and because I see the potential for interesting, emotional relationships in RH stories.

A positive in this novel's favor is that it isn't break-neck speed all the time--it takes several chapters to even introduce two of the four faeries who will be part of the harem.

But from there, it has a lot of

Slow start

For some reason this story was slow for me. I was hoping for more chemistry between the characters. Everything just seemed so matter of fact.

Good read

So I did love the story. Lost princess (maybe?) 4 princes, *sigh* I get lost in the storyline. The only thing I wasn't happy with was the sex. It was very anticlimactic. Too short for my liking.

This was such an interesting read! Fairies are becoming one of my favorite mythical/paranormal creatures to read about. Though this was a short read, the writing and world building were done quiet well. The characters were all so unique as well. I enjoyed the bits of humor thrown into this story as well.

Cassia is set to marry a well-known man in society, but she hates. Being the youngest she feels as if her sister Rose should be married before her. On her wedding day she is attacked by bat like

A great beginning to the series!

Cassia is attacked by a monster on her wedding day, which leads to shocking revelations about her true identity. A changeling, raised in the human world, she ends up under the protection of the Fae Princes. Now her mission is to fight the monsters who are targetting her, find out about her origins and also analyze her feelings for the princes.

An amazing read right from the start. I was completely invested in Cassia's story and sympathi

Cassia's wedding day gets ruined by a monster, but luckily there are sexy fae princes nearby to help her.
Cassia doesn't want to get married, but has an arranged marriage planned for her by her social-climbing father. The day of the wedding goes awry when a monster who is clearly after Cassia shows up. After miraculously healing from being wounded in the attack, Cassia finds out she is actually a fae who was hidden on earth at birth. After getting away from her father with the monster hunting pri

Whiplash ending

This story is intriguing. I wasn't too sure about it but once I started I found I needed to keep reading. I love the mystery surrounding cassia. I want to know what she is exactly and why she should "not exist". There were moments in the story that could have used more detail enriching the story. Sometimes is felt a little flat with flavor and voice. It was still a good plot and kept me going. I like the 4 princes and love that they are all unique with clear distinct personalities

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

What intriguing storytelling! We meet Cassia just as she is about to go through with an arranged marriage that she definitely does not want. Things go off plan when a strange creature interrupts the ceremony which is only the first in a long line of secrets she is about to discover. While fleeing from her family she is "rescued" by some hot Fae princes that insists she stay with them while they figure ou

What a lovely story! I love books that are similar to ACOTAR, it's simply my favorite genre. However, this book is so similar to another reverse harem that I've read recently: Power of Five. There are just so many similarities that this novel was almost predictable. Whether or not that's a coincidence, it's too similar to be a coincidence. If you want to know what happens next, read the Power of Five series to know what happens, no need to wait for this next novel.
Not to mention, it is so simpl

This book is such an easy read it’s easy to get lost in their world. The heroine is not annoyingly stuck on the fact she’s not originally from their world and is easy to adapt. It’s great and keeps the story going. It’s okay to sprinkle little doubts here and there since she had a different upbringing, but she does her best to adapt. The guys are all so easy to fall in love with as well, even the broken one and the bad boy one. I am glad Ethan was the first she fell for though. He is e

Awesome read, well written with a great plot and characters. I was engrossed from start to finish. This is book 1 of 4 in this RH series. It's a fantastic start to a new series. Cassia isn't happy about her wedding to a Baron that is arranged by her fater. Her life changes in a flash, there are monsters she has never seen before, and she accidently uses magic she didn't even know she had. Cassia finds out she is not human and she has sexy fae princes to help her find out what's going on. There i ...more

What a turn around!!!

Initially I was intrigued with this book but then a 3rd of the way in I was bored and I lost my interest however the last third of this book had me hooked. Was it perhaps a bit predictable? Hmm yes! It was still good and I like the idea of there being faeries and magic, this isn't my usual genre but I'm enjoying the fact that the use of magic isn't all this story is about. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series will take me. It was well written and flowed quite nice

I really enjoyed this book. It's a great start to a new series that I look forward to reading. Cassia is to be wed to a Baron which she isn't happy about. Suddenly there are monsters she has never seen before and her whole life changes in a flash. Cassia finds out she is not human and she has 3 very attractive fae princes to help her find out what's going on. Lots of action. Cassia is a really strong character. I like how she doesn't back down when told to but continues to fight for others over ...more

Fae changeling

This was better than I expected. Initially i thought it was going to be full with the way it started. It opens on the mc getting ready for her wedding and I was definitely not feeling that. But it takes a quick turn toward fantasy. I like the plot and the detail in the action scenes was pretty great. But I could have done with less expository writing. There were definitely a few times I skimmed. Otherwise, it was pretty good and I'll definitely read the next one.

I loved this book! The author sucked me in right and kept me intrigued throughout the entirety of the book. The characters are very well written, the romance subtle but alluring, the action and adventure non-stop. From start to finish this was an amazing read and I can not wait to see what happens it book two! Dyan Chick did a fantastic job and I very much look forward to reading more of her works in the future.

The first book in a series is always a bit of an introduction to all of the characters and the entire world needs to be set as well. Dyan Chick handles it so well you barely notice that you haven't known these characters forever. Good strong characters an entertaining story and not so much sex you lose track of the story. I am enjoying this ride and looking forward to the rest! I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest opinion. ...more

always love a changeling story. Cassia is about to be married when she is attacked by a monster. Then she discovers that she is a changeling and her entire life has been a lie. I enjoyed reading about her adventure into the fae lands and learning about her magic. The guys that she meets are great too. I like the mystery and slow building romance. Can't wait for the next book. ...more

Pleasantly Surprised

Honestly, when I picked up this book, I was very much under the impression that it was going to be a book about four lusty faerie princes and the changeling that they found. There’s a lot more adventure, some actual introspection by the main character, and you can’t help but like at least three of the four princes.

This book was a breathe of fresh air. It really sparked a renewed love of fae storylines for me. I lived the difference between the seasonal courts and this intro to the men that represent them.

An underrated gem, that I dont often see on the group reccomend lists.

Take a chance on this series and fall in love with he series as much as I have.

I actually picked this book as part of a reading challenge to discover new authors and genres I typically wouldn't read. I was really hesitant to read this at first, but once I got into the story I couldn't put it down. Cassia is an incredibly strong and resilient female lead that faces such adversity, and I look forward to reading more of her journey with her four princes. ...more

Reverse harem slow burn

Cassia is about to get married when a dragon attacks. She finds out shes fae. She runs to fae land in the forest. Beast from the under are staking her. She has uncontrollable magic. Will the 4 fae princes be able to help her? Time will tell in the next book of the series. I will be slipping into the realm of fae in book 2.

A solid beginning. Though I feel there were parts of the book that were a bit slow, the world building is beautiful. As the book is written entirely from one character's point of view, the others are still being fleshed out, and I find I am enjoying the limited perspective. I cannot wait to see where Dyan Chick goes with the series. ...more

I was surprised by how much I liked this book.
It wasn't a book I had heard much about, so I was curious about it.
Overall, I really liked it.
There is still a lot to learn from the series and I can't wait to see what happens in book two.
I would definitely recommend it.
