I’m Luciana Wright.

Everyone calls me Lucky, but when it comes to love, I’m anything but.

I have a long history of dating the wrong men.
You know the ones I’m talking about.

The beautiful, charming guys who are quite literally too good to be true.

The ones who are impulsive in love and prefer short flings over long-term relationships.

I’m talking about the jerks.

➳The first part of a romance novel that includes two individuals whom are different in every way, but gets the excitement going with their witty banter...

➳Soooooo... This book actually took me a while to get into... Like seriously, I usually finish a book in two-three days, and this book took me a week to finish. And the reason is because it was honestly really slow. I am not the biggest fan of angsty romances, but there are some that I truly do enjoy. This one however, did not go well with my

Before you start reading my review... please be aware that I might be going on a bit of a rant at the end. The book was still a 4.9-Star-Read for me ... but there are a few tiny little BUTs for me too. So if you're scared of that - just don't read the end of my review ☺

Eeeep - a new Max Monroe Rom-Com Duet! YES!!!

Luciana - Lucky - just broke up with her latest idiot of a boyfriend. It all started as a we'll-stay-friends kind of break up, but it ended rather publicly in Yankees Stadium. LOL.

Wow. Wow. WOW!
This book is simply AMAZING. It goes straight to the top 3 of the best books Ive read this year. I couldnt put it down. The execution of this book is just brilliant, so different from all the others Ive read before and my oh my did I love it! So unique. Its just a gem, it stands out in the sea of books Ive read so far (and Ive read about 260 books this year so far).
I cant wait for the second part of this duet. Ill be counting the hours until I can get my hands on it. The 25th cant

One of the BEST reads of the year!

Told via a podcast ( a brilliant idea and will make this a hit on Audible) The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks is sheer book perfection in my eyes. All the right ingredients for my favorite kind of read. Funny, snarky, sexy, fast-paced, and filled with real emotions.

Lucky Wright is very unlucky when it comes to love. She works as a writer for an online magazine, not un-similar to Buzzfeed. Lucky tells us all about her work consisting of two writing jobs. One, a

Don't fall in love. Fall off a fucking bridge. It probably hurts less.

Yessss a new duet from Max Monroe.

Firstly, I don't usually much look at the covers, however this one looks like it should be the cover of a WHAM! Album (sorry Max and Monroe, but he gives off serious George Michael vibes)

I liked the writing style of this book - in the style of transcripts from a podcast.

There were a couple of things though that we were a bit ugh for me. Firstly, Ollie's age.

The concept for this duet is fantastic! This book The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks is told via the heroines POV as she is telling the story about her relationships via a podcast. The second book will be told in the heroes POV. I don't know how it will be told- whether the podcast method will be used or what- but it will provide the conclusion to the story that many will be craving (I am one of them!). Kudos

The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks is my very first Max Monroe book, and I’m impressed! The way this book was written was so refreshing and unique and just fun. Luciana Wright (aka Lucky), the story’s heroine, is narrating her story and epic encounters through a podcast. I mean, how freaking cool is that? I’ve read books with bouts of text messages or emails, but a podcast? That’s something completely new to me and I absolutely dig it!

I, Lucky Wright, am a jerk addict.
“I still couldn’t believe I’d kissed him, you guys! Just straight up, placed my lips to his, slipped my tongue into his mouth, flipping kissed him. Apparently, I needed Jesus. And a nap. And quite possibly a lobotomy.”

OMG! Can I just tell you that every time the ladies of Max Monroe grace us with a new book, I get so damn giddy! I know that I’m about to be incredibly entertained! Their latest, The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks, is book one in the brand new Jerk Duet and it was INCREDIBLE! In

Addicting and Honest.

That pretty much sums up this one. I was hooked from the start and I will admit that it was a 50/50 split between loving the way the story was being told and finding Lucky to be absolutely charming and real. This book had everything. It was funny, sweet, smexy, swoon worthy and even heartbreaking, but it was real and once I dove in, putting it down wasn’t an option and when the end came I was quite unhappy because I needed more - and thank the powers

It was quite hilarious. The writing style was unique, it felt like it could be happening in real life. Now I’m off to read the second part!

Max Monroe have done it again. I DEVOURED this book. Jesus christ it was such a good read.

I did have a couple of things I didn't like/agree with/feel that they fit with the story, so I'll get those out of the way first.

- Ollie's age - hes 37 in this story, which makes a huge age gap to Lucky (not a huge deal I know), but the character himself didn't feel or sound to me like he was that age. I read him as a lot younger and alot

I'm going to do things differently with this review. I'm going to take a page out of Lucky's book, I'm pretty sure she won't mind. I'm going to write my own letter to the marvelous duo known as Max Monroe. But before I do and without spoiling anything, I want to tell you, the reader, that The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks will have you laughing until your stomach hurts. The Day I Stopped Falling For Jerks is the charming best friend’s brother / not-quite-enemies-turned-lovers tale of unlucky Lucky and free spirit Ollie. As the saying goes, opposites attract and you couldn’t find two more opposites than Lucky and Ollie. After one too many relationship disasters Lucky has made a promise to herself that she’ll no longer fall for the jerks. But along comes Ollie, who may just be the biggest jerk of them all, and Lucky finds herself doing exactly what she said s

I loved everything about The Day I Stopped Falling for Jerks by Max Monroe. The format and writing was impeccable and original and I devoured it as quickly as I could. This is the second book I have read by this writing duo and all I want to do is go back and read everything they have ever written!

In this book, we meet Luciana Wright, Lucky, who feels unlucky in love. And boy does she have every reason too! I loved, laughed and cringed with every story she shared about the jerks she has dated t

Well written story that ends with cliffhanger. I take a star off my review because waiting a month to finish is ridiculous. I will have read 20 books in between and have lost plot features.

So, if that and a storyline that is a podcast format in writing, then this is fun. Her experience with guys is nothing new but a rich exploration of her feelings about what she learned from each guy and by being fair, obtaining closure.
Her writing assignment was to follow the surfing circuit of world class su

OMG!!! Max Monroe what are you doing to me?? This book. It was everything I didn’t know I needed. It was fun and sweet, and I fell hard. I fell for the Jerk. I fell for Lucky. I fell HARD for this breath of fresh air romance. It is every single thing I needed.

Lucky is such a great heroine because readers will see themselves in her. Telling this story as a podcast allows readers to really connect with her. We live her story, and fall in love

This book was addicting. I devoured it, I couldn’t stop reading as soon as I begun. Lucky’s story was captivating.

I’m sure at some point we’ve all felt a little heartbreak, I sure have and this girl, she’s felt it multiple times and you just can’t help feel sorry for her. It’s so sad and it makes your heart ache but damn, she doesn’t let it get her down she just vows to stop falling for jerks, nothing could possibly go wrong, right?

"Nah. I'm more of a when I like what I see, I have to at least get a taste kind of guy."

And thus begins the downfall of Lucky Wright.
Okay, maybe it didn't really begin there, but we all know Lucky didn't stand a chance against the sexy Aussie, Oliver Arsen. I know I didn't stand a chance. He's all swoony and fun and charismatic. You know, all the things you want in a bloke.

Yeah, I may have picked up some Aussie lingo while reading these books. I couldn't help it. A bloke? A sheila? Come on!

I loved how this story is told. Lucky is telling her side of her many life stories on a podcast and it was like you’re really listening to her except your reading it, obviously. I really like her. There were a lot of parts that had me giggling. She doesn’t have the best track record with boyfriends and it was fun listening to her tell her many crazy stories. Then she meets Ollie. Oh, Ollie. I’m totally Team Ollie all the way. The only thing that made me feel a wee bit awkward was when they got t ...more

OMG I've got to say after finishing this book I can honestly say I've never been more happy about a chliffy in my life.

I loved the podcast approach to tell Lucky's side of the story. It was refreshing and spot on. I loved how sassy, strong and driven Lucky was. It was cute to see how she tried to stop her attraction towards Ollie but failed to do so. I could relate to her on so so many levels and I've got to say I'd probably do everything she did if I were in her shoes.

I love a good book by Max and Monroe, so I was over the moon when I heard about this duet coming out. When it comes to authors that I absolutely adore, I tend to go into their books completely blind. The writing style was interesting and wasn’t sure what to expect with a podcast writing style. But I was surprised that it didn’t really bother my reading experience at all. Absolutely loved Luciana and Ollie’s story, which is told my Luciana’s

I’ll start off by saying Max Monroe have me salivating for the next book. Absolutely salivating.

I’m not going to give you too much detail on the specifics of this book but what I will say is that I like their take on the story telling of this book and how it was told.

Now it did take me a minute to get into this story as it started off a bit slow for me and perhaps I also had to get used to how they choose to tell it. Almost as if your reading a transcript of a podcast which was different and m

I am not sure where this book stands for me.
I didn't realise till the very end that this was a duet. I thought it was a standalone.
Not that it matters or makes a difference to the story.
For the most part, the book was nice. Decent.
But nothing extraordinary. My only complaint was that Ollie was provided to us very sparingly.
But now that I know the next book aims to the contrary, I'm waiting to see how this turns out.

I absolutely adored both Ollie and Lucky (although at times she does try ones patience). The writing duo did an excellent job in putting this "podcast" together. Lucky steps forward with her POV in the first installment, but don't worry because Ollie gets his turn in the final installment in the duet that is available now.

Readers don't have to do much guessing to know that there are some real commitment issues between the two characters. There's also a ton of great lines of dialogue with witty

I started ranting and raving about The Day I Stopped Falling For Jerks, to my book besties, midway through the story. I wanted to share how much I was enjoying this Rom-Com, it was so different from any story I’d read this year. Why? The story is told through a series of Podcasts the h, Lucky, decides to make; she’s a popular journalist for a web magazine with a large following, reminiscing and sharing her dating adventures with her followe

Love and I are not on the same page. Not even in the same book.

“Lucky” may be her nickname but Luciana is unlucky when it comes to love. She falls for the men who seem to be wonderful but end up being jerks, leaving her broken hearted over and over again. Her latest boyfriend left to go back to Brazil and things ended on a good note. Until she saw him in NYC locking lips with another woman when he was supposed to be out of the country. Broken hearted once again she turns
