This book contains a series of short stories, making up the Jonmarc Vahanian Chronicles Volume II. A lot of the stories and novellas are available as separate purchases, but this volume gives you all of them in one place and follows in chronological order. The first book left Jonmarc making the decision to leave the travelling caravan and be recommended for a position with a group of mercenaries. This book covers his time as a mercenary and his rapid promotions, his time as a fight slave and the ...more

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This is the second collection of stories telling the journey taken by Jonmarc. I recommend reading the first collection so you can see how he has ended up where he is now.

This takes Jonmarc through his time as a Merc, a soldier, a fight slave, and eventual smuggler. Again tragedy and strife has followed Jonmarc, events that he blames on the "curse" placed on him by the raider he killed in the beginning of his story. There are elements in

Wow, more epic stories about a favorite character, Jonmarc Vehanian. Filled with adventures, magic, and paranormal creatures. A lot of violence and surprising twists in these stories to keep me turning the pages. Unique, well-written characters and fascinating plots. Fantastic!

I am voluntarily leaving an honest and non-incentivized review of this ARC.

This second collection of Jonmarc Vahanian tales lives up to the expectations placed upon it by the first ("The Shadowed Path"). There isn't a dull moment to be found, with every page offering entertainment. Now I really need to read the "Chronicles of the Necromancer" series again!

I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving a free copy.

Again, Gail Martin delivers an action-filled yet sensitively insightful book. Her stories of Jonmarc's survival over the brutal eight years since the deaths of his family are poignant and painfully empathic. I realize that some people just attract bad luck but Jonmarc really does need to have a few breaks.

A great book to read.

The book was very interesting to read because I have read all the other books and the series was great to read. But I never read these books before the summoner but I enjoyed reading them.
