The short: A well written horror book that gets the reader through quickly but contains some unnecessary elements

The long: I want to start by saying how much I enjoyed the writing and the pacing in the book. I think it’s undersold, but I used to watch bad movies when I was teenager for some reason, and the number one problem common to them was pacing. They didn’t know when to intensify action, and they told ideas, not stories. Reading an Indy that follows a structure that keeps the audience’s at

The thriller/horror book Three Days in Ashford burns with antidotes and flash backs full of sharp wit and specifics to flesh out characters in the first few chapters and moves into a Scooby-Doo like adventure that goes terribly wrong. It was recommended to me by a good friend and I'm thoroughly glad I read it. The book delves into the journey of the main character and his group of ghost hunters as they attempt to deal with a disastrous trip into a town seemly anchored to a perilous dimension.

I received an advanced copy of this book prior to publication. It's scheduled to be released in Oct 2018.

I could not put this book down. As Ty's first novel, he does an amazing job developing his characters into people you really care about and want to see succeed. Daniel, Ricky and the whole group feel like real people experiencing a terrifying experience. Without giving anything away, I really enjoyed the timing of the book - Ty does an excellent job of managing the story and the timeline wit

Well, wow. I think this is the review that, so far, has taken me the longest to write. There are so many things to say about this book. I'll start making clear that I had never heard of TY Tracey until I purchased this book, well, this absolutely MUST change to future readers.

The complexity and layers conforming this book make very difficult for me to "summarise" why I loved i, several times. I think the best way for me to express is to describe, point by point, WHY it is different and to me, a

For a debut novel, Ty Tracey’s Three Days in Ashford is pretty good. The synopsis is a bit misleading, though. It makes you go into it expecting a horror novel and the reality is that while there are horror elements, this is a genre-blending mix of horror, fantasy, and science fiction.

It’s well-written enough, and there are fans of the long-winded prose style who might really enjoy it. For me lines like “My hands were saturated with stress-induced perspiration, gripping the steering wheel.” are b

Although this book had high ratings, I read to chapter 13 and just couldn't finish.

I'm tapping out at 10%. I just couldn't get into this read. The writing is good but the book's just not for me currently.
