Five possessive gods and the end of mankind. That’s my fate.

I always thought the end of the world was a myth. But then, I also thought Norse gods were make believe too.

They’re not.

Five of them are coming for me. They claim I will only survive if I surrender to them, body and soul.

But they don’t realize it’s about so much more than carnal servitude. I am so much more than t

Pleasantly surprised by this one! The guys all had distinct personalities, and there was a surprising amount of humour which actually made me grin. This book also deserves props for being only the second omegaverse reverse harem I've enjoyed reading. (The first is Addison Cain's Wren's Song series, which is of course not really romance at all).

It's a shame it's been 6 months since this book came out, and still no sign of a sequel...

This review may contain mild spoilers, and it definitely contains adult language. But if you're about to read Ragnarök Rising, then you better get used to smut.

Since I don't leave negative reviews, especially on books that I barely finish reading, this review of mine is more along the lines of "please, explain things to me", rather than "hey, here's my useless rant about why I disliked the book".

So here goes: I have no idea what this book was about or what its purpose was. Was it supposed to be

3.5* STARS!!

I've been heard about Omegaverse (Reverse Harem in PNR) for a while and not really interested until now. I got curious with Ragnarök Rising and the blurb sounds amazing. The author is new for me, so it doubles curiosity. Pretty cover too.

Alpha = Top/Dominant
Omega = Bottom/submissive
Beta = ??? Maybe in the mid of them. But Alpha didn't take interest in Beta.

Annabel lives her ordinary life and never thought Gods is real. When she's on vacation in Iceland; forced by her parents, she met

Nora Ash new series! EXCITED!!!

I love Nora's writing style. It is the perfect balance of adventure and steamy!

Our leading lady Annabel, thinking she's just your average everyday human (beta model) heads off on an awfully big adventure to visit family friends in Iceland. Things come undone pretty quickly once Annabel discovers that not only are these 'family friends' not your average Icelandic Farmers, but they are actually a trio of Alpha 'Godlings' sired by none other than Loki the Trickster go

You can expect the usual alpha omagaverse that Nora Ash is known for. When I read the description I was like, Thor-like over the top alpha males, strong-willed female, polyamorous....looooove.... So engrossing. I do have to say there were a number of typos. If you're like me and find typos take you out of the story- then just be aware. With lesser authors and books I usually instantly stop reading. I was able to overlook though as I felt the story was so good. Hate to knit-pick, but another thin ...more

3 out of 5 stars rating.

This is my first time reading a female oriented omega verse. I did not know they existed. That being said, trigger warning of dubious consent for many of the sex scenes in the book. The story also ends in a cliff hanger.

Magni was asshole number 1, followed by Saga. In the scale of my least favourite of Annabel's mates, this is followed by Grim, who really wasn't bad to her, if anything he was the one most against taking her without her consent, but his asshole indifferenc

Personally, a jealous / possessive hero is my favorite type of hero and I therefore enjoy reading Omegaverse as it is (usually) the norm for this genre. This is however the first time I read a RH (Reverse Harem) Omegaverse book and I was a bit sceptical how it would work and if there would still be that element of possessiveness, but the author managed pull it off very well and I loved it.

First, we are introduced to Annabel, the human heroine, who suddenly must accept that she is destined to hav

This was a great reverse harem read with so much adventure, mystery, suspense, and so much steam! I was glued to the pages, wondering what twist would happen next. It was utterly captivating! Nora Ash is a wonderful writer and knows how to capture an audience! Highly addictive! Can't wait for the next one, give it to me!!!!!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

OMG apparently falling in love with someone who raped you is OK since he did it to save his brothers... I'm gobsmacked and hope no violence victim will ever come across this book

how disappointing - more so since I was really excited for a full-length novel from Ash

~Glorious God mayhem~

Myths, magic, glorious Alphas who are pitted against each other. For many centuries, five demi-gods have been waiting the appearance of their fated mate. When Annabel Turner arrives in Iceland intending to delve into Norse history for her doctorate degree, she ends up running from her hosts, the Lokisson sons Saga, Bjarni and Grim right into the eye of a storm, thinking she was going to feature in a pagan sacrifice. Instead, the claiming of her as an Omega by five Alphas and

This is a very entertaining paranormal romance featuring several gods and demi-gods of Norse mythology. In a time when Omegas are scarce, Annabel has had the luxury of gaining an education and enjoying her independence as a Beta. Never a fan of overbearing, insufferable Alphas, she’s therefore surprised by her strong attraction to the Lokissons brothers when she arrives in Iceland on vacation. The discovery that the secretive brothers have lured her to Iceland as the key to their survival of Rag ...more

I really enjoyed the Omegaverse aspect of this book - I find that theme super hot (though I know it is not to some peoples' tastes) and it was hot in this book too, though the book is more story than sex, so no need to worry about lack of substance. For some reason in this book I found myself more interested in the story taking place in the beginning - when the heroine is just meeting some of the potential harem members at their farm in Iceland. Each of those brothers were intriguing and I am a ...more

This was my first Omegaverse/reverse harem novel. I am usually not drawn to these types of novels. However, I loved Nora Ash's Made and Broken series AND I enjoy all types of mythology (and Marvel Comics), so I decided to give this novel a try. It was not for me. The thought of having to mate with five people is beyond me. The part that bothered me the most and stuck with me throughout this novel was how the heroine, Annabel, was introduced into her omega role. The reader finds out things as Ann ...more

Omegaverse + Viking Gods= some dominating fun with a little magical in-between

Maybe it's the combinations of genres between RH romance, Norse mythology, and Omegaverse!! Who would have thought they could work together but it do. First of all this book fits firmly in the Omegaverse that Ms. Ash and others like Zoey Ellis write in (there is the classic Alpha/Omega dynamic and of course the "knot"). Usually, the author's books tend toward the darker part of the Omegaverse-domination aspect (Feral s

This was... wow. I love norse mythology and it's always fun when people play with folklore and the end-of-the-world type things, but this, combined with Ash's amazing story-telling talent blew my mind. I'm currently in a reading funk and my reading experiences are usually half-way filled with irritation or critique if it isn't "perfect" but with this one, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Ash writes intensely hot scenes that I totally felt in my stomach and I love those reactions. It's fun to get som ...more

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. Interesting reverse harem story involving the end of the world as we know it. We meet Annabel, who is 10 yrs late getting to Ireland at the request of her parents to stay with family friends. When she arrives tall norseman Sage greets her. Back at the family farm she meets brooding Grim and joyful Bjarni. Annabel is feeling off...shes sick with hot flashes and knows smtg is wrong. When she wakes up and finds the brothers in th ...more

I really enjoyed it. The Norse mythology, though not completely accurate, was engaging. The character are seemingly multifaceted and the intrigue behind who the baddie is sets up the next novels in a great way.

I will say that the h’s reaction to finding out about Ragnarök was less than what I anticipated. Though, I imagine my reaction of “but what about all the cats? the horses? koalas?” wouldn’t be quite the normal response either. Seriously though, what about cats? Could we port all the anima

This is book 1 to The Omega Prophecy and I loved it, I’m a big fan of Norse Mythology and this story has it in spades. 5 sexy alpha’s Bjarni, Grim, Magni, Modi and Saga are the sins of Norse gods and they are as arrogant as they are alpha’s they all fight over 1 woman. Annabel is human she is a kick a$$ and gets questions later kind of woman and she has 5 sexy alpha’s fighting over her, god help her how can she choose just one or does she?. I’m not going to get into spoilers but I will say that ...more

I love this book! Although I don't know anything about Norse Mythology I really enjoyed this book and I can not wait for the continuation of series. We do not go into much depth of Bjarni and Grim as characters in this installment but I did start to like them, I like their complete opposite personality. I was afraid that the characters where just going to be just 5 carbon copies of each other but they seem well drawn out. I love Saga and Magni interacting, especially a certain healing session th ...more

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced copy of this book. I am always looking forward to Norah's book releases and as always the wait was totally worth it. Ragnarok rising follows Annabel and her alphas as she discovers what it means to be an omega & how they could stop Ragnarok from destroying the world. The squabbling between the Lokissons and Magni had me laughing alot and made the book more enjoyable to read. Annabel's journey is nothing short of difficult but her gifts make their travel ...more

Well damn that is what kickb**t story. For some that haven’t read any omegaverse books, please read the note from the author at the beginning. She has a great explanation of it and to let you know what to expect. That said, I loved the book and can’t wait for the next one. This is a series and has cliffhangers, so read in order. Expect some extreme alpha/omega relationships and this is a reverse harem too. There is lots of action and adventure all rotating around Norse mythology. I love how the ...more

Amazing! So imaginative, but at the same time I learned an awful lot about Norse mythology. Ragnarok in mythology is the end of the world. Annabel is a human woman sent by her parents to visit her homeland and meet the Lokissons, unaware that she is meant to mate with them in order to save the world. The characters are so well written. The alphas are so domineering but such MEN! Annabel is rather pissed off finding out she needs to have sex with five strangers. The events and creatures encounter ...more

Viking God Omegaverse sign me up. I am a huge fan of Nora Ash's books and this was no exception. I loved the push and pull of the characters. It did need more clothing optional interaction and I expect we will get more in the following books. It does end with a cliffhanger.
The heroes are alpha to the extreme bordering on Alpha ass... but what do you expect it is an Omegaverse. I look forward to seeing Annabel become more of a bad ass heroine.
To me this book is the build up for what is to come.

Wait until these Viking demi-gods get their filthy hands on her

I was surprised that there's a little bit of a playful aspect to the story. It's still dark and dirty but there are some lighter moments and some funny exchanges between Anabel and her mates that keep the story really fun to read. Her mates mean business but they still joke around or tease each other, but these moments of levity don't take away the overall feel to the story.

If you're unfamiliar with this author, you should really re

Nora Ash starts her latest series, The Omega Prophecy, with an intensely heart wrenching and provocative tale, Ragnarok Rising. An omega whose heart may break as she tries to save the world, by loving the sons of Loki and Thor.

A story like you have NEVER read before. And one that will leave you wanting so much more, in the best possible way.

Can the ‘alphaest alphas’ actually claim her heart, with the intensity of which they claim her body? Will the sons protect their omega or risk failing thos

I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy. This is a story of a girl who's fate is yo stop ragnarök, but to do that she has to link hershelf to 5 demigods, and that she realy didn't want to do. In this book Annabel meats, Saga, Grim and Bjarni, the 3 lokissons brothers and Magni and Modi, the Thorssons brothers that are fated to save the world. The problem is that nobody not even the brothers believe she is more than just a ticket to save their blood lines and no one elses. Very ea ...more

This was my first omegaverse book. I thought it was very good. Annabelle is headstrong and kickass. Didn;t care for some of the crude words used, or the forced interactions but it didn&t detract from the story. The world building was good, the characters are pretty well described. I'm really anticipating her relationship with Grim. I'm betting it will be explosive! Overall, this was a great read and i cant wait for the next one.

I am Nora Ash, and I write a plethora of different romance books. Some of them are really dirty, some of them are only kinda-dirty, some are paranormal, some are contemporary… Basically, I have a rampant imagination and no way of controlling it, except from just writing down whichever idea pops into my head at the time.

The one thing my books always have in common, though? A great story and a guara
