Once described as a "stark raving prophet crying out in a wilderness of cheap beer and cheaper sex," Sage, poet, social satirist, recording artist and actor, has performed his sterling melange of pop culture prophecy and street honed 'freakbeat' verse from Manhattan's Lower East Side, to sunny Bognor Regis, England.
In addition to recently opening for Sir Bob Geldoff at Portsmouth Guildhall, Sage has also: been featured in a BBC One television documentary, twice gotten verbally naked for BBC Radio, once for Channel Four, at both The Brighton and Edinburgh Fringe festivals (with his Grandma), and at the Sundance Film festival (next to a famous person). He has been featured on TV documentaries with Beat legend Allen Ginsberg, and former San Francisco Poet Laureate Lawrence Ferlinghetti.

As well as block-rockin' the live stage, Sage has played lead roles in several indy feature films. His role as New York Trip Hop DJ 'Dog Walker' in the film Beyond the Ocean (nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2000), recently received critical praise by the New York Times.

Sage has recently completed, and published his first book of illustrated poetry "Sex, Drugs, and Sunday School" with Brighton artist Ruben Watson. He is currently collaborating with beat masters in both New York and Brighton for a soundtrack album to accompany the book. He is available for birthday parties, bar/bat mitzvahs, and christenings.

I have been an educator for many years, and although I now teach adult education, I taught in the public schools in past years too. While teaching students with learning disabilities and behavioral challenges, this student-centered book, with its focus on effective data collection & analysis, positive reinforcement behaviors and practicing my "happy face", would have helped me tremendously back in those days.

Dr. Sage writes a readable and practical book that provides easy-to-use tools to ultimately prepare Behavioral Intervention Plans for student success. While it focuses on elementary age students, the basic premises also apply to middle school, high school and even adult students. I highly recommend this resource to all educators seeking solutions to help reluctant learners become happy students.
