I would kill for her.

The night Arsen killed my father was the first time I realized the lengths he’d go to keep me safe. He might have done it to protect me, but he was still convicted and locked away for seven years. And for that entire time I waited for him, knowing that once he was released, things needed to be said, the truth needed to be spoken. And that day was t

This book was a page turner and I enjoyed every second of it. Sizzling hot, passionate, and full of deep love! The hero, Arsen has definitely found a place in my heart. What an amazing character! Arsen's love for Amanda just shines right through this short read from start to finish. His patience, and understanding with the woman he loves endeared him to me. Not only was he kind and sensitive, but he also has this possessive and naughty side to him. In my book, that makes him perfect!

Arsen and Harper have been best friends forever, and while both want more, neither are brave enough to confess it just yet. The risk of losing the one person that matters most to them if the other didn't return their love is too much to take.

Arsen is from the wrong side of the tracks, not expected to amount to much because of it and his upbringing, but Harper sees something within him no one else does. For Harper, Arsen wants to be that man she sees and is taking steps to do so. After landing a

JUDGMENT is one of the books in the Cards of Love series by various authors, this one was written by Jenika Snow. Arsen Gray is 26 years old and he’s just been released from prison after serving seven years for murder. He was from the wrong side of the tracks, people in their small town called him a menace who was nothing but trouble. Seven years ago he and Harper were best friends, he was her protector and the only one who didn’t treat her like white trash. They were both madly in love with eac ...more

Quick and enjoyable read. Harper and Arsens story would have made a good full length read too.

Sweet read about a guy who killed another person to protect the girl he loved. Arsen went to prision, obviously, and he spent seven years of his life behind bars rotting in a cell but he never regretted killing Harper's father. He saved her life that night so it was worth it.

I liked this Arsen guy a lot, ok? and Harper wasn't half bad, she was pretty decent too, waiting for him all those years and making a living for herself while waiting for Arsen to come out of jail. I ship them so ha

The story was short but I enjoyed reading it.
Harper has lived with her abusive alcoholic father ever since her mother left them. She doesn't tell anyone what happens when her father is drunk, getting more and more out of control. Not even Arsen her best friend, who she is in love with, also
Arsen went to prison for seven years for protecting Harper from her father. Now he's out and he is going to claim what is his and make a life together.

I have so far read a couple of the Cards of Love books, and they seem to be hit and misses. Judgment by Jenika Snow was a definite hit. I enjoyed this particular story as it touched all my favorite tropes. From the edginess of the main female lead's life to the true love angle and that no matter what happened that these two characters had each other. I also loved the fact that neither character pushed each other away or played games with each other's hearts as I hate how that often happens in bo ...more

This is one of the books of the Cards of Love series, this one by Jenkia Snow. This story is a short novella and is definitely different. Great characters and storyline that is crammed pack in a short story. I really loved this quick read.

I bow down to Jenika Snow once again. JUDGEMENT is another amazing piece of work. A spectacular addition to the CARDS OF LOVE series. I was pulled in from the start and hated that it ended so quickly. That being said I freakin loved it!!! This "card" shines among the rest of the collection.

JUDGEMENT is something we all do and have done to us. Jenkia just highlights the actions that come from it. Two kids who only wanted to live and love get stuck in a situation neither of them could ever imagine

Harper never had anyone aside from Arsen to protect her and he killed her father to do so, the man who should've kept her safe above all others. But he didn't and now he can never hurt Harper again. While that gives her a peace she will never take for granted, Arsen, her best friend, went to jail for seven years to give it to her. Harper knew the day Arsen was released things would need to be said, not the least of which was thank you, but feelings would be confessed and the look she receives is ...more

This was a quick read and I was surprised by the amount of emotion in the story.

Arsen and Harper have been the best of friends since the day he saved her, growing up with each other in a small town their feelings have changed from friendship to a very pure and true love but both are scared of admitting to each other how they really feel. Both nineteen they are trying to make their way in the world. Neither of these two characters come from the right side of the tracks but they see the best in ea

Judgement is a quick and easy read about true love and acceptance.

Arsen and Harper are best friends who have secretly loved each other without telling the other. When Arsen kill's Harper's father to protect her, their lives change drastically. She's all he's thought about since he's been locked up and he's all she's worked hard for, waiting them to finally be together upon his release.

I loved the idea that these two were made for each other and how good and honest Aren really is. True love rea

Judgment is the newest standalone novella from the highly talented Jenika Snow and you don't wanna miss out on it. Sexy. Short. Predictable. Always to the point without all the extra fluff... you always know what you are gonna get.

Great read like quick reads, best friends to lovers, and an HEA.

Side Note: This book was different than what I usually read from Jenika. I like how it opened. I loved how it progressed. I love their bond and connection. I also love when that endured together and how even prison couldn't break them. She touched on the changes the system takes a person through as well as the consequences/hardships it is for a felon/ex con when they try to go into the world and get a job. As far as sex, i
This story is short, fast paced and a nice read. I devoured this book within half an hour and was satisfied throughout. I liked that the after the first part of the story, it jumped to a year later and then five years later. I liked Arsen. His love for his best friend Harper was clear to see. He was her best friend and protector.
The chemistry between Arsen and Harper is clear to see. Both of them love one another but they’re afraid to admit it to one another. They are afraid of losing one anoth

This was a short but very hot read by Jenika Snow. I loved Arsen and Harper's story but I wish it would have been a little bit longer. The emotions are there and the reader can feel them as they read. Loved it!

A quick read. I enjoyed the first half of the story. After that it turned into a repetitive description of how much they loved each other and what they wanted to do to each other. I would have loved a bit more story of their life together instead of skipping so many years.

An intriguing short fast-paced romance story, it is captivating, with a lot of twists and turns. Characters are strong engaging, it is well written. It was a pleasure to read this book.
Somehow missed that this was a short story. It was sweet and safe. But that's about it.

This was a story of friendship, love and second chances. For many, the fear of evolving a friendship to that next level is filled with fear. Fear of rejection and fear of ruining the friendship that holds them together. Harper and Arsen struggles with those fears. Best friends for as long as they could remember and secretly harbor a love that goes beyond that of a friend.

But circumstances found a way to keep them apart and no matter how many times Arsen pressed Harper to move on, she wasn’t hav

I really enjoyed this novella, it was a story that has a lot of trials and tribulations but it was a beautiful story, if you can describe it as such. I loved how even as a novella this story didn't leave anything unanswered. It was a short story that had it all.

Arsen and Harper were definitely destined to be together. No matter what stood between them. Both having had a rough life and Harper's being the cause of a fate filled night that was on the cards for a long time. It built the walls that

A gritty but wonderful novella about the power & patience & sacrifice of true love.
Arsen (H) is a young man in his early prime, huge & strong & although his youthful past is speckled with transgressions & crime, one thing stands above all else: his complete & total but unspoken love for his best friend Harper.
Harper (h) is a young woman quietly suffering a life with an abusive parent, hard working, looking for the time she'll be free of both her parent & a town that v

In this short novella we have, Harper, a 19 yr old, who was always referred to as white trash, someone who was from the wrong side of the tracks. Harper's father blamed her for everything, for her mother leaving, for his drinking for them never having money -0 even though he was the one who spent it on alcohol.

Arsen Gray, a 19 yr old, is from the wrong side of the tracks. He is trying to get a job to better himself, and make him a future. Arsen & Harper have been best friends forever. They b

What would you do for the one you love?

Would you follow them to hell and back?
Would you move heaven and earth?
Would you secret them away to safety?
Would you kill for them?

Arsen’s love for Harper is undeniable in his thoughts and actions. There’s a sincerity about him that emanates from the pages, and he isn’t just about possessing Harper physically. He wants all of her, and he’ll do what’s necessary to protect all of her.

His unspoken vow brings consequences they’re not prepared for. It leaves th

Another one bites the dust. I'm honestly not even sure you could call this a book (technically a novella) with how much of a waste of time it was. My review may already be longer than the book itself.

As is common with novellas, they just don't allow time to really develop the characters or establish a concrete plot or setting. This book was no exception. The characters, from the brief experience I had with them, could have honestly been ones that I loved. But Arsen was too questionable and Harp

This book was too short for me. Yes, I knew from the beginning that it would be a novella, but unfortunately this one was short, even for a novella, or at least it felt like it. I expected a story about judgment and how it influences the life of Arsen and Harper after he gets out of prison, but I got nothing.
I know that Jenika Snow writes a lot of smutty scenes in her books, but this one was too much. In my opinion there wasn't really a plot other

Harper has loved Arsen forever it seems. Too scared to lose his friendship, she has kept that and her abusive home life to herself. Arsen has loved Harper forever but he wasn't in a position to provider a better life for them, away from the stigma of their poverty and neglect. When it is finally within his grasp, a good job and the opportunity to tell her how he feels is destroyed. That one act obliterates their future for seven years. Now he is back and he is determined to not spend another mom ...more

Harper's had a good life until her mom couldn't take her dad's drinking anymore and left them both. Unfortunately, her dad blamed her for her mom leaving, for him losing his job, for his drinking, and for having to spend his unemployment money on her. Harper took the brunt of it all, sometimes violently. Arsen loved his mom. It was just the two of them in the run down trailer. He was also Harper's best friend and protector all through school and as they grew up. There wasn't anything he wouldn't ...more
