It’s love. Trust me.

After a lifetime on the move, Ivy Snow is an expert in all things temporary—schools, friends, and way too many Mr. Wrongs. Now that she owns a successful taco truck in San Francisco and an apartment to call home, Ivy’s reinvented life is on solid ground. And she’s guarded against anything that can rock it. Like the realities of a past she’s worked hard t

Wrapped up in You by Jill Shalvis is a 2019 Avon publication.

Hot Holiday romance packed with Shalvis’ trademark brand of humor and emotion

Ivy Snow owns a taco truck and serves the best tacos you’ll ever taste. Her life has never been settled, but now she is determined to put down some roots in San Francisco. The only shadow hanging over her is her troubled brother, who could very well sabotage Ivy’s plans.

Enter Kel O’Donnell. Kel meets Ivy through mutual acquaintances, via her ‘t

Mentally sifting through a long list of fantasies, Ivy told her landlord all about Brandon the artist, who was living in Paris at the moment, becoming famous for his incredible oil landscapes. She left off the fact that he peddled stolen art instead of creating it, and it hadn’t been Paris, France, but Paris, Texas.

And trust me, women are tougher than us. They can handle our shit. And if you don’t think so, think about this—they take showers with the water temperature set to the expl

Jill Shalvis never fails to whisk me away to my happy place and that’s exactly where I went as she brings us Ivy, Pacific Pier’s taco-truck chef and cop-on-a-sabbatical, Kel‘s romance.

description Are you my present?”

Ivy and Kel quickly stole my heart and with just the right amount of drama mixed in amongst the romance, a couple of moments that almost had me reaching for the tissues and the most perfect epilogue, Wrapped Up in You is one of my favourite in the Heartbreaker Bay series.

This was another great read from Jill Shalvis. I have been with the Heartbreaker Bay series since it started and have looked forward to each installment. Each book in the series can be read as a stand-alone but readers of the series will enjoy catching up with well-loved characters. This series has been consistently good so I went into it with rather high expectations and it was just as good as I hoped it would be.

The good kind of trouble…

How embarrassing is it when you walk up to a stranger and ask them *Do I know you* and they look back at you with a blank and slightly horrified look, before scurrying away. Well, I’ve done that to myself numerous times. What makes it even worse is I later work out that he’s the guy who gets on the same train carriage as me, or I walked past him while doing the grocery shopping. Well, meeting Kel felt a little like that. I know that I know him, but for the life of me, I can’t remem

4.5 - "I knew you were going to be trouble…" Stars!

We return to the Heartbreaker Bay series for another seasonal offering, with book eight; Wrapped Up in You giving us Kel O’Donnell and Ivy Snow’s story. Both relative newcomers in relation to the cast of characters that has grown through the series, although Kel some of you will know as a secondary character from Jill’s Animal Magnestism series as well.

"Sometimes in life you meet someone… And suddenly you don’t have to be alone all the time."

Where to I start! I love this author’s books so much, becausewell.

This was a nice romance. The guy married to his job, the girl whose upbringing was hard, a group of really great friends, and some drama to round out the story. I liked the story, it was a sweet romance with flawed characters who find redemption and happiness with one another.

There is a sweet ease to this story. Ivy and Kel meet each other and there is sassy banter between them. Each are guarded but there is a comfort as well. Kel is a sheriff in Idaho who is back in San Fransisco for awhile.

Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis is a beautiful and heartfelt read and I loved it.

The storyline is well written, emotional, sweet, romantic and will pull at your heart strings.
Ivy and Kel are likable, relatable characters that I easily connected with. I loved their passion, I loved their honesty and I loved them together.
It warmed my heart watching Kel slowly break through Ivy's walls and bring the softer side of her out. Ivy had been through so much growing up, she didn't trust easily and it was tota

Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis brings readers back to Heartbreaker Bay and I am here for it!! This time, its Kel (Caleb's cousin) and Ivy (the Taco Truck owner). These two are quite opposites-Kel is a cop and Ivy is a free bird of sorts. Ivy has trust issues with law enforcement so she is wary of Kel right away.

Ivy has been raised in a rolling stone environment-never staying in one place. Now, she is putting down roots in San Francisco with her truck and, hopefully, a new condo. She has kept her fa

Wrapped up in You was a feel good story that ended with the most perfect epilogue. It was so emotional that I had tears in my eyes and you couldn't knock the smile off my face! If you aren't familiar with the Heartbreaker Bay Series, each book can easily be read as a standalone. Each one is about a different friend finding their happily ever after, but I definitely recommend going back and reading the previous books in this series! I heart them so much! I have loved every book in this series, so I don’t even read the synopsis any longer. I’m here for all of them.

I loved Ivy and Kel. They’re both such good people with trust issues. I truly enjoyed reading them get to know each other, tear down the walls, and become part of a friend family. And of course the chemistry and UST was positively off the charts.

Plot wise, it was good. The build up was slow and delicious and the angsty time didn’t last too long. I appreciated that they took time to ge

For me, the last three books in this series had me thinking it was time for it to ride off into the sunset. I’ve been reading Jill Shalvis for a lot of years and I have loved a lot of her work, but I was disappointed in the last three books in this series and I almost gave up. I decided that Wrapped Up in You would be the book that either told me it was time to let it go or the one that gave me a sign to stick it out and I’m happy to say it was the latter. I loved this story

Ivy, owner of the Taco Truck, didn't have a stable upbringing and left home at sixteen. She lived a wanderlust lifestyle but moving around no longer interest her and she's ready to put down some roots. But she's not used to trusting people, having friends and always did everything to not be vulnerable.

Two weeks before Christmas, Kel, sheriff in Idaho and ranch owner, is on leave, recovering from a life-threatening injury. But he's not taking a break and helping his cousin Caleb in Sa

Aside from some mentions of holly, Christmas Eve and food banks this didn’t really feel like a holiday romance, but I loved it all the same. It’s the story of two souls leary of trusting their hearts or setting down roots.

Both Ivy and Kel have baggage stemming from childhood trust issues. When the story opens Ivy is finally setting down roots and is in a much better place. It’s her setbacks during the story that allow Kel to face his own. I love how it unfolded blending suspense, tru

I’m really not surprised to see another holiday-themed book from Jill Shalvis. In fact, they are probably one of my favorite books to read by her.

WRAPPED UP IN YOU is book eight in the Heartbreaker Bay series. I really love seeing how she incorporates the holidays in these types of books. Just as you would expect, this book is rife with charm and humor and this is played up even more because of the hero and heroine.

I found that I really liked the couple this time. Ivy and Kel felt refreshing and I really liked t

I had hastily picked up this book after DNFing two in a row. I was thinking, if anyone would be able to fend off this book slump, it would be Jill Shalvis, and I was right!

I am ALWAYS excited to read a new Shalvis book, but when I saw that Kel from the Animal Magnetism books was joining the Heartbreaker Bay gang, I was bouncing up and down. Kel was a character we fans were clamoring about. We wanted the sexy sheriff to get his HEA, and not only did Shalvis deliver that, via a wonderful romance,

Gah, I just love getting back to Heartbreaker Bay! I just adore every single thing about the people in this series.

I love how the Pacific Pier extended family keeps growing, and we have more lovelies to fall in love with. So Ms Shalvis will just have to keep writing this series forever!

Ivy and Kel's backgrounds are not the easiest to move forward from, though they are a great help for each other. Neither of them wants a relationship, however with Kel always her knight in shining armour, Ivy

Such a cute cover! Wrapped Up In You was an okay read. Did I love it? No. Did I like it? Yep. Seems to be the trend for me with Shalvis the last few which is a bit disappointing.

The Gist: Kel is in town for a few weeks helping his cousin with security while he's on administrative leave after an injury and the man realizes he has a thing for spicy tacos and the fiery woman who makes them. Troublesome for sure.

Alright. So the bad stuff out of the way first. I'm REALLY tired of all the man bashin

It’s never too early for a holiday romance, especially one that’s written by Jill Shalvis! As a huge fan of the author’s Heartbreaker Bay Series, I’m always excited for a new addition to the series. While Ivy and Kel are more recent additions to the series, the author always takes care to create a tight-knit connection between the core group of friends, (which has expanded considerably since Sweet Little Lies) so each new book in the series feels like coming home. I'll admit I've never read Jill Shalvis, so, obviously, I'm not familiar with this series. Wrapped Up In You is a very warm hearted lovely story in the Heartbreaker Bay Series. I can hardly believe it's been over four years since the Heartbreaker Bay series started. It's been consistently one of my favorites, as has Jill Shalvis. No one writes contemporary romance quite as she does. Every story is perfectly paced, with the right balance of sweet, funny and sexy. Add in an element of suspense and you most certainly need the help of a hot lawman. Well, Ms. Shalvis never disappoints and this time there's a bonus in bringing in a man who is both hot cop and hot cowboy. Can ...more

Jill Shalvis is usually a comfort read for me: light, fluffy, sexy without too much angst or drama. Unfortunately, her usual formula of stubborn feisty heroine meets stalwart alpha hero is starting to run out of steam in Heartbreaker Bay.

First, its getting hard to remember who's who in the big crew of good-looking, bland white people. Of all the people in San Francisco, one of the most diverse cities ever, the Heartbreaker Bay gang only managed to find one token lesbian (and only gave her a bar

Have I mentioned before that I’d love to move to San Francisco? I’d do it just to be a part of the Pacific Pier gang- what a fantastic group of friends! And it really does feel like I’m back with old friends when I crack open a new Heartbreaker Bay book.

Kel and Ivy’s story was a great mix of heart, heat, and humor, with a bit of suspense to round it all out. Although neither was looking for a relationship, there was a definite spark when they first met. Thanks to her transient upbrin

Terrific story of two people who find it hard to trust. Ivy has been on the move her entire life. Raised by a flaky mother, and with a troublemaker brother, Ivy set out on her own when she was sixteen. After years of moving from place to place, she's ready to put down some roots. She has made some friends, owns a successful taco truck, and is saving up for a place of her own. I loved her determination to succeed, her independence, and her kind heart.
