I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, pain, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below, they are also part of this series so if you want to read the entire series try reading those books(s) first

In this continuation of the Gentileschi sisters series, this time the story belongs to school teacher Gabriella/Brie and Dante Federico, the school’s fairly new PE teacher. He’s someone she has avoided since he reminds her of the man that had kidnapped her the previous year.
As time goes on, Brie starts warming up to him, especially when a child needs their help .
Though it wasn’t my favorite all time story of the series, what wins the author high marks is the underlying subject matters she bring

This is Gabriella (Brie) Gentileschi’s story. Brie’s been reluctant to get to know Dante Federico until fate steps in and takes a hand. As they slowly get to know each other, a deeper attraction begins to grow. But there’s something more sinister going on, bringing out Dante’s more forceful protective nature. His reactions cause Brie’s hard-fought-for independence to push back, which may put an end to their relationship before it really has a chance. When clouds of doubt begin to also grow, a re ...more

How Deep is Your Love? is another fantastic read in the Gentileschi Sisters book, and I would know since I'm been with them since the beginning. Finally it's Brie's story since she got kidnapped, and it feels like I've been waiting forever for it. See, she has no interest in dealing with anyone who reminds her of that kidnapping, and the new gym teacher, Dante Federico, at the school she works at, is giving her flashbacks, so she's trying to stay far away from him. Dante can't figure out why the ...more

The newest book in Kathryn Shay’s Gentileschi’s sisters book brings us the story of Gabriella ( Brie) and Dante Federico. Brie is a little reluctant about Dante due to kidnapping that happened in a previous book. As the story is untold Kathryn really shines in her writing style. Kathryn does a great job tackling really life issues while weaving in the story of Brie and Dante. They are both school teachers who are trying to help their students while also navigating their own lives. Brie is trying ...more

This is my first Gentileschi Sisters book, even though it’s number 4 in the series. I enjoyed the story and had no trouble picking up who’s who from prior books. So, this works fine as a stand-alone, although it is obviously part of a series. As a teacher, I was interested in how situations were dealt with in the story, since Brie and Dante are both teachers. I enjoyed the peek into a different school than where I teach. Author Kathryn Shay did well! Dante and Brie are both strong personalities, ...more

Brie has been avoiding fellow teacher Dante ever since he was hired at her school. She doesn’t really know him so it more about who he replaced and the memories that it brings up rather than Dante himself.

Dante has been trying to fit in with his colleagues but that is easier said than done. When he has the opportunity to spend time with Brie, the one teacher who has been so distant he is not about to turn it down.

As they spend time together helping a student Dante ends up helping Brie heal as we

This is the 4th book in the series but can be read as a stand alone with no problem. Brie and Dante are teachers at the same school. Unfortunately, Dante replaced a man that Brie had a bad experience with so she's avoided him. Once she decides to get to know him better, she finds he's a really nice guy and wants to spend more time with him. Dante also enjoys spending time with Brie and together they work to try to help a student deal with a rough situation at home that has kids bullying him at s ...more

this is the fourth book in a series of sisters. I have not read the others but was able to follow along with no trouble. this is about Brie who was kidnapped. She does not want to interact with the new teacher Dante because he reminds her of it. Dante is trying to fit in to the school and wants to spend time with Brie to help him fit in.

They are thrown together when they help a student. Dante also helps Brie move past her trauma.

I’ve been looking forward to this book since we met Dante when Lexy visited Brie’s school, and I wasn’t disappointed. We meet more of the Gentlischis in this book, which is also a pleasure, and, as usual, the sisters support each other – occasionally they get it wrong, which is also heartening 😊. This is Brie’s story, and her determination to be strong wars with Dante’s innate determination to protect – so there are fireworks. There’s also a good twist in the tale that really makes this book, in ...more

How Deep is Your Love is book 4 in the Gentileschi Sisters series by Kathryn Shay and was my first book to read in this series! While a standalone it took a little to understand Brie’s problem with Dante... but didn’t take away from the amazing story!!

This story deals with stalking, bullying, sexual predator and his child’s emotions, kidnapping aftermath, romance, steamy and protective instincts. It will keep you turning the pages wondering wha

Kathryn Shay has provided another riveting installment of the Gentileschi sisters saga. Book four is the story of Brie and Dante. Life has not been easy for either of them. Brie has spent a year shunning her coworker, Dante, because of his position at the school where she teaches. And then they connect in a most unique way. Kathryn Shay has weaved a tale of these two people that includes unexpected twists. I love her writing style as she also updates on characters from the previous books. A 5 st ...more

This is the first book I have read in the series, even though it is book #4. I was easily able to understand the placement of the characters from the previous books. Brie and Dante both have issues to overcome before they can have a lasting relationship. Brie especially has suffered through a traumatic experience. Although I agree that a woman should be confident and able to take care of herself, I feel Brie was too hard on Dante for wanting to protect the woman he cares about. Overall, I found ...more

I was privileged to receive this book as an advanced copy & am choosing to review it voluntarily and this is my honest review. Kathryn Shay is one of my top five authors, it was an honor to review her latest book. I have the others but have not yet read them so sure if they follow on, that doesn't matter as this could also be a standalone.Kathryn continuously writes such quality pieces of work. I am biased when it comes to hers. You don't want to miss this one, as you are drawn into the stor ...more

We were introduced to Brie Gentileschi in an earlier Gentileschi sisters book and I couldn’t wait for her love story. Brie suffered a horrible kidnapping and has been reluctant to get involved with anyone since, especially the new gym teacher at the school who reminds her of one of her abductors. Dante Federico is having a hard time making friends at the new school he is teaching at until Brie agrees to share coffee with him and the other teachers sense her acceptance of him. The coffees that Da ...more

This is the fourth book of the series but can be read as a standalone. It’s the first one I’ve read and i could follow along with no problems. This is about teachers Brie and Dante, who are both strong characters. She’s open about her issues but when Dante shows up, he reminds her of her kidnapping. They’re brought together to help a student and grow closer. Dante is great, but his protectiveness doesn’t always work with her independence.

I loved how this book touched on bullying, family, and the

Kathryn Shay is a lifelong writer. At fifteen, she penned her first 'romance,' a short story about a female newspaper reporter in New York City and her fight to make a name for herself in a world of male journalists - and with one hardheaded editor in particular. Looking back, Kathryn says she should have known then that writing was in her future. But as so often happens, fate sent her detouring d ...more
