And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World.
If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me.

And for the seventh time Magnolia Cove doesn’t just draw us in and make us feel warm and at home. It’s so delightfully charming that these books have become incredibly hard forms to put down. Never EVER did I EVER think I would fall so deeply in love with a Supernatural Cozy Mystery series. But, here we are seven books later and so connected with the characters that inhabit this magical town. In book seven we are celebrating the magical thanksgiving holiday. This is our first book where Pepper is really single, but don’t worry you haven’t seen the last of Axel (I really hope that wasn’t a spoiler). A woman moves into town and disrupts one of Betty Craple’s age old Magnolia Cove traditions. This woman decides to hide her “secret recipe sold out pies” all over Magnolia Cove during the Annual Magnolia Cove Turkey Hunt! Drama ensues, Carmen Crapels sweet shop is in jeopardy, and Pepper has to solve a murder without Axel. Rufus comes back into the picture to lend a helping hand (Rufus has become my ultimate guilty pleasure character). Since it’s Thanksgiving Mint and Licky are back in town and they reveal some thing INCREDIBLY important to Pepper. This piece of information has to do with her cousins which have become her best friends; Amelia and Cordelia. We also get some origin and background into Mint and Lickys background which helps you understand them better and love them that much more. I loved that this book had so many stories going on one. This has to be one of the most exciting installments to read and most enriching to the series! You ABSOLUTELY MUST start reading The Sweet Tea Witch Series if you haven’t yet. Well; I’ll be back I have to go celebrate Christmas in Magnolia Cove😉.

Sigh...

The world is right again...
This one had me guessing til almost the end. Ms. Boyles did a fabulous job at hiding who did it!
I was crying at the end of the last book in this series and the heartache was still here for this one. Oh how we get attached to our characters that we love!
This series is a Sweet read! 💗💗

I love this series. Pepper is a fantastic main character and all the side characters like her chaos aunts, grandma Betty and her cousins round out the book. The story line was good with more cozy to it than some of the books have. Plus the surprise ending is great. A really wonderful read.

I was not a fan of this one. There were some clever moments around the Thanksgiving traditions, and clearly the plot was centered around Pepper trying to do things by herself, but the magic fell flat. I missed Betty and Axel. I also found the plotlines around Amelia and Cordelia's high school days and their fathers to be unresolved. Obviously it'll be a plot point for a future book. I did enjoy getting to know the aunts better, along with their struggle with chaos magic. tbh, I would have loved them to join in earlier and even more prominently. The inclusion of Rufus was giving me Twilight New Moon vibes, where Bella was using Jacob's friendship to get through while she still pined after Axel.

The new characters weren't that engaging and I absolutely hated that rabbit Collinsworth and his fake british accent. All I could envision was Mr Collins (Pride and Prejudice) in bunny rabbit form. And his constant evasion of the truth was infuriating. I hope his character doesn't return.

The snide comment about Becky Rae having a muffintop was also annoying. Most women have muffin tops. That throw away comment was really off putting.

Towards the end I started to skim the sentences to get the gist of the storyline. If I ever re-read the series, this is a book to skip.

You know you've got a weird story when someone goes around a park dropping and hiding frozen turkeys and another person goes around dropping and hiding pies. That's Lori Lou that does the last thing, by the way.

Carmen, a cousin, runs a sweet shop and is in direct competiton with Lori Lou's sweet shop. Lori seems to be winning but it's kind of hard to keep up the momentum when you are murdered.

Then there's a refugee from Alice in Wonderland when a talking white rabbit (with a British accent) shows up, revealing he had work with Lori.

Then there's a problem with illegal love potions and someone stealing recipes. Then people start acting really strange, giving away furniture and other things. Matters get worse when it turns out that something is going on where these same people could all end up very much dead.

Axel's not in town, either, so Pepper can't rely on him for any help. By the way, the rabbit seems to have a bad attitude and is definitely hiding things from her.

Hugo (the young dragon) could always use a nice rabbity snack.

Another really good story in this series.

entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series

This is an entertaining supernatural cozy mystery series. iPhone cast of characters and an entertaining storyline. Pepper is a young woman who in her mid-20s found out she was a witch. Some weird things happened and she ended up listening to her cat talk to her and packed up and moved to a small southern town where she soon found out she had inherited a familiar store which is our paired with our new familiar‘s. She also found out that she had a grandmother a couple of cousins a couple Vance and other family members and friends in this town. This is where her mother was born and pass away when she was very young her father was a mundane human who lived in the human world and did not tell her about her witchy family. Her father died a few years back and she was on her own struggling to make ends meet. Now with her refound maternal family and a new life she is always in the midst along with her grandmother and her cousins in finding out what’s going on when weird things happen in their little small town. A very entertaining and cute story with lots of action plenty of entertainment and loads of magic. Check it out

The magical rabbit

Another great fun read that will keep you guessing as to who the real baddie is. Wonderful how even now the author pulls the rabbit out of the hat (sorry couldn't resist it) with even more hidden revelations about the characters and what makes them tick.
Axel has left and she is distraught. However her mind is taken off her troubles (at least partially) by the new bakery in town. The bakery that has all the residents queuing to get goods. The problem is that the goods seem to be having an effect on people. Now at the local Turkey Hunt one of the owners is lying dead and one of her family is arrested for murder. Throw in a talking white rabbit, addiction, deadly withdrawal symptoms and a race to heal the residents and find the killer. Will she be in time to save her town? Will she find the killer? Will the rabbit survive? What will she do with the revelations about her cousins? Will she survive without Axel?

I really got behind reading this series so I'm trying to catch up. Good book - seemed short and not fleshed out. Ler's see what the next one brings!

Heartaches and Turkey hunts?

Y’all, I am a Southern woman and I absolutely love these books! Some of the colloquialisms could pass for any place south of the Mason-Dixon Line and a fair few north as well.
These books in this series will light up your life and have you chuckling and reaching for your jellybeans so fast a tornado might pop up.
The cast is remarkably fun with superior family values and the whodunnit part keeps you guessing and intrigued longer than you would think.
You definitely can’t count Pepper out in this book as she knows how to play her cards close to the vest and between all her magical critters, cousins and her gramma, wow the action and heartache.

Definitely a family friendly book !

Amazing !!

This series has taken me by surprise. When I first started reading the books, I thought these will fill in for some of the books I had been reading. But they took over my life !! I literally couldn't put them down !! I'm in love with Axel, but have a soft spot in my heart for Rufus. I think I may secretly be rooting for him to win the girl of his dreams. I love the idea of flying skillets. They sound like they could be a new ride at Disney World. Gotta go now, the next book in the series is calling my name and I just can't deny it. Time to rejoin my favorite characters in their next adventure !!

No! He can’t just walk out of her life like that and waltz right back in. Not. Okay. Rufus was there for her! He called her. He helped her. He. Was. There! Sure he did some crap stuff in the past but he was changing that was clear enough to see! But Axel just walked right on out when things got hard without a single word to her for WEEKS! Then like a knight in shining freakin armor comes waltzing in to save the day and she is all heads over heels again? Nope. Nope. Nope. Not. Okay. Also. AGAIN WITH THE DAMN GUNS!! The knife I would have been okay with it was at least different but then in comes the real perp with a dang GUN.

This is such a cute series, and this was one of my favorites. Every time I think that I’m done and moving on from it, there is one more book that keeps me wanting more. It’s Thanksgiving, and there is something in the pies that has everyone in town acting strange. Add in a murder and a talking rabbit, and Pepper has her hands full. Perfect reading during the holiday season when it’s hard to find time for longer/more intense reads!

Another winner in Magnolia Cove

Relationship woes intertwined with murder and a town in peril are more than enough to keep our plucky lead, Pepper, fully occupied. Combine with a clever storyline that includes family secrets and unexpected allies as well as the pursuit of a crafty killer and the result is a treat for paranormal cozy enthusiasts. Five relationships ripped apart... How many will be mended? Enjoy reading to find out!

This series is just like sweet tea, nothing overly nutritious but so delicious and refreshing. The analogies are to many to count and sometimes are so odd they can jolt you from the story a bit. But I adore the town and all the characters. The stories are interesting and the who done is pretty much always surprising. This is a great cozy mystery series with 26 books and counting to fill your mind with all kinds of cozy moments.

Thank You!

It was the most enjoyable read for me, the author came through for me. It was suspenseful and inspiring to see Pepper grow as a witch but disappointing when it was short lived. I'm so happy for the ending U was about to denounce the author and become an antifan. Thank you for being him back!

A great cozy mystery

I love this seres and the characters that make up the magical town. There is always a great mystery sprinkled with humor and sometimes, the ridiculous. Pepper was left with her aunts, a villain turned semi friend and a talking rabbit to save the town and solve a murder. It went just as I thought it would.

Cute

This one was cute and different. We actually got to see a familiar match up which I love. Some interesting character development. YAY no cliffhanger. Pepper seems to be learning some magic. Rufus had a cameo. Loved the turkey hunt idea.
Very happy with this book. I will be looking forward to the next book.

Love, love love this series!

Wow! Never ending action. There’s always something going on in Pepper’s life. Secrets are revealed and new fantastic relationships bloom! Rufus seems to have turned over a new leaf and Pepper, torn apart by Axel’s absence, reaches out to him for help. Hmmmm...where does it lead?

A talking rabbit - Book 7

Ok, I flipped out at the end of book 6, but book 7 is filled with harrowing events, murder, betrayal, and surprising flip flops that keep you tied in knots until the end! Great read, was able to read from to cover. The conversations are so funny, perhaps because they are truisms here in the South! 😍

The new bakery

In thus book Pepper is dealing with her breakup with Axel. A new bakery owner moves in and then is killed. Carmen is accused and everyone in town is acting weirder than usual. Pepper finds out that everyone has been affected by a potion in the food from the new bakery. Everyone is giving their stuff away. Amy Boyles is a great writer.

Personally I ship Rufus and Pepper. Also Axel leaving and Rufus and Pepper getting close is very twilight (so twilight, in fact, that I feel like she just copied it). I don't mind though, I like the Rufus redemption ARC. I actually really liked this one, and I guessed the twist with Parker and with Collinsworth, the stupid little bunny.

This is a book that was fun to read and I did truly enjoyed reading it. I will not say anything about what I read because I tend to blurt out the twists and turns and spoil it for others. If you want to read a good book or rather series this is a good one to read.

I really wish I could vacation to Magnolia Cove and hang out with Betty Crapple and her crew. They feel like friends at this point. I really enjoyed this story, as I’ve enjoyed all of the books in this series. Can’t wait to see what they get up to during Christmas in the next book.
