I'm writing this months after having listened it (audiobook) so I'm going to review it as a whole. I also listened to the 3 books individually.
I generally like the romance/mystery/supernatural genre but for one thing, I wasn't convinced with the relationship between the two main characters and I could NOT stand the cover art of the books! I'm sorry but it just ruined the visual for me! I didn't think it matched the characters (the art on book #2 and #3) and it bugged me the entire time. I also found the character of the sister to be annoying. I felt she was just an afterthought and wasn't convinced of the bond between the sisters that was supposed to be there.
It was entertaining enough for me to complete all 3 books. But compared to the rest of Jeanine Frost's work, these 3 were by far my least favorite.
****SPOILERS**** DNF - made it to 1/2 of book 2, before it became too much : (
The synopsis sounded interesting, but its a demon vs angel premise. Its also a young adult book. Not my cup of tea the older I get. The female lead is a bit flat and the male lead is unbelievable. I feel like I've been here and read that already. Was not impressed and very disappointed.
Good Book to end my year in reading on. This is not a new book for Ms Frost but it is one I had not read before. I love her books. Thanks for this series.
Loved this trilogy! Such a creative story regarding angel & demons, biblical references and hallowed items in a paranormal slow burn romance with lots of action.
