This book easy to read and includes multiple biographies. It isn't overly wordy or trying to be poetic, which is nice. The author did a good job of selecting interesting information and giving the reader a good idea of what each person is known for. (He doesn't go too in depth into any of the figures' lives because of how many there are.)
The biographies not only include what the person did but also their legacy and how they're seen today. The author also connects some of the biographies to others. He also lets the audience know where the information on the figure's life comes from.
The book includes multiple biographies of thirty people. Most of the people originated from Jerusalem, Rome, Greece, Asia, or Egypt.
Personally, I thought Buddha's was the best and most interesting biography. The author describes his life as well as compares/contrasts him to Jesus. I found his section the most interesting. It seemed to give a good amount of information.
