Mr. Bump is my doppelgänger! Covered in bruises, barely able to function due to his propensity for accidents, Mr. Bump is in desperate search of a low-risk job. Alas! No matter what profession he attempts he still manages to harm himself. At long last he pursues a career as a knight. After all, surely covered in armor, he will remain safe. Think so, eh? (No, I am not Canadian but I have visited on occasion.) Peruse this Roger Hargreaves little book, the best of the collection in my clumsy opinio

The best Mr Men book I've ever read.
Great humour all the way through, genuinely had me laugh out loud.
Looking forward to reading again with my boy. ...more

I absolutely loved these Mr Men and Little Miss books. I remember getting them from my granny every week. There was so much from these simple characters, I remember filling my little bookshelf with all these books making sure I had got them all in right order. I wish I still had these books but somehow most of them got lost with many house moves or my mum gave the rest away. If I ever have kids, I will make sure they get the chance to experience these wonderful, colourful books.

Ok, I'm shallow and I totally went there. I bought the book because the title sent my mind to the gutter. And also because it had glitter on it. I was in Hamley's and I was totally acting like a kid again. So what.
You need one of those stories every now and then.
Overall, I really did think this was cute and adorable. As I'm sure I've found myself wanting to be in protective gear plenty of times. ...more

A fun adventure for Mr Bump. He is fed up of getting hurt so decides to become a knight and be protected by all the wonderful armour. He reads a book on how to be a knight, gets his armour and sets off on his adventures. It doesn't go quite as planned but he ends up with minimal bumps!! Fun and very enjoyable!
