Parallel: A Novel

Rate this book
"I wasn't sure where I was going, or who I would become. I just had to have faith. That was to say the least, anyways. The man in the black suit told me we would change the world, I just had to trust in him, no matter the circumstance. Although magical somehow, his methods were a bit strange. He could summon this unremarkable 'celestial' body of water: the river, and it would take me to a new world, a parallel universe. Or at least, that's what I've been told."

Hello there, my name is William David Anslow! :)

I am a Y.A. Fiction author, who believes that everyone should follow their own dream.
To the bitter end, always follow your heart!

I am 28-years old and reside in the Tampa Bay Area in Florida.

I am the author of the novel, Parallel, a story about a boy and his friends traveling to parallel universes.

Believe it or not, the original idea for this book series came to me in bits and pieces throughout the last three or four years. I would actually keep a little set of notes that I would write on my iPhone 6 Plus. I still look at those notes from time to time. It often redirects my focus back towards story-development.

It wasn’t, however, until late February of 2018 that I really began to sit down and write out the story that would eventually become Parallel. In the span of only two months, a week before my 28th birthday in fact, I finished the original manuscript for Parallel. To say the least, I was amazed and enamored with myself for being able to pull a book out from the depths of my grey-matter.

Often times I found myself stuck. In terms of writing, it was really difficult to find a way to make my characters feel important, or that they mattered to their world. This was a rather difficult hurdle to overcome on my end. Because its a question we all tend to ask ourselves, “Why am I here? What makes me important? Why do I matter?”

This is Book 1 of 5 in the PRANA book-series that I am writing. I am currently working on Book 2, at the moment, in case you were wondering.

This series is intended to make the reader think outside the box. A lot of work went into mending and sneaking in little details that only adds depth to the overall story being told.
