This book centered around Elizabeth's former BFF, Enid. Enid now goes by her middle name, Alexandra. She made her over so she's not the annoying person she was in high school. I'm basing that off the prom book where she was all "boooo Blubber likes me and I don't want to go to the prom w/ him." I think what annoyed me most is that she was basing it off his personality...which she didn't actually know. She didn't know him at all. So it had nothing to do w/ his looks. Admittedly, I never got into Sweet Valley as a youngster (shocking, I know!) But I can't resist a thriller book cover with a girl clutching a telephone in fear! So this was my introduction to Sweet Valley University Thriller Editions and it was a good one! Despite being part of a series, I had no trouble following the characters or their relationships, which to me is a sign of good writing.
