The book consists of two parts: From the First Republic to the beginning of the 'Estado Novo' (1910-1933), and the other one from the WWII until the 1974 Revolution and the first democratic governments (1939-1981). Each part has a bunch of original texts regarding to the period (discourses, leaflets, official documents...). It's a good and quick introduction to the period, although sometimes can be hard to follow, since there is a lot of facts that are taken for granted.
