“Every story deserves a sound track. And ours is epic.”

Down To You is book five in the Sixth Street Bands series by Jayne Frost. This book! This book gets ALL the stars. This book is everything! Prepare for Logan Cage, ladies. Prepare to fall in love. But, you will have to love him from afar, because Logan Cage is mine!

Logan Cage is the lead singer for Caged, a band that is on the rise. Caged is managed by Taryn and Tori of Twin Souls. Logan has a dark past, a broken past which he keeps well hidden. He medicates with women and booze. Caged is preparing to go on tour and because of his own actions, Tori Grayson, Taryn’s partner with Twin Souls, has to go with them. We’ll just say that these two aren’t each other’s favorite person. But when it came time to leave, it was Logan that saw what was happening and understood. It was Logan that came to her rescue.

Tori Grayson used to be a rock star. It was almost six years ago and she was living the dream. She was in a band with her husband, Rhenn and her best friend, Paige. Both Rhenn and Paige were killed in a horrific bus accident when they were on tour. Tori sustained serious life altering injuries. After the crash, she never wanted to perform again and continued to grieve for her husband and best friend. So she and Taryn started Twin Souls and she lived her dream by helping others achieve theirs.

“The girl smelled like a cookie. And all I wanted to do was taste her.”

Tori didn’t want to be weak. But there was something about Logan. She felt comfortable with him. He stirred something in her that had been asleep for a very long time. Logan didn’t quite understand what was happening between them. He only knew that he didn’t want it to end.

“As she stared at me, I understood where beautiful melodies were born. Because I wanted to compose songs for this woman. Symphonies and endless verses.”

guitar player

As Tori and Logan become closer, Tori finds herself beginning to finally let go of the past. To wonder if it is finally time to move forward, and to wonder if it’s Logan that she wants to move forward with. Logan still has secrets, darkness he can’t bring himself to share with Tori. But you know how secrets are, they tend to always come out, and when they do, it’s not always in the best way.

“She could break me, this girl. Make me want things I knew I didn’t deserve.”

As Tori and Logan continue on with the tour, things back in Austin are still in turmoil. Things in both of their private lives and things with Twin Souls. Their lawyer is working diligently to try to handle everything but if any of it went south, it would break them.

“Music is fun, remember? Music heals. Music is everything.”

I’m going to stop here because I don’t want to say too much. What I do want you to know is that this book is amazing. I didn’t want to put it down. When I wasn’t reading, I was thinking about it, well, mostly about Logan. This man! “sigh” I am so in love with him.

Cheering Crowd

This is only the second book I’ve read of the series. I also read book four, Lost For You, which I loved. You can definitely read these as stand alones. But I love these characters so much I need to go back and read the first three books. Jayne Frost is such a beautiful writer. Her words just grab your heart and they don’t let go. There were tears, but they were happy tears I assure you. I also want to congratulate ME Kusel on her beautiful cover design and on the fantastic book trailer.

So, ladies, just read this book! I can’t recommend it enough. If you want to read the rest of the series, that’s even better. But do not miss Logan’s story. I can’t wait to hear what you think.

“This is where forever lives.”

Okay first, this cover, this has to be one of my favorite covers, ever!!!!

This is a book I couldn’t wait to get my hands on. If you have read (and if you haven’t-you need to) this series, then you’ve read about Logan Cage. My hands were itching for his story, my heart was craving it. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it. And knowing it involved Tori Grayson made it that much more appealing to me.

Tori is the widow Rockstar, or ex rockstar now, that we meet in the previous books in this series. She was in a horrific bus accident that took the lives of her best friend and her husband. She’s been devastated for years, she’s cut off living life. She’s poured her entire being into managing rock bands with her best friend Taryn. So when she has to step up and escort Logan Cage while on tour, court ordered from a fight he got himself arrested for, how is she going to handle the situation and circumstances of the very things that took the most precious things in her life away, touring and tour buses? And can she rediscover happiness?

Logan Cage. Where do I begin to describe, to explain, to talk about this man. He’s troubled, he’s loyal, he’s fierce. In previous books, he’s a wholesome playboy, he’s the ultimate rockstar that 100% lives the rockstar life. When push comes to shove, he will hands down do what he has to do to protect those he loves. And let me say, I was shocked while reading this book. I fell in lust with Logan in precious books in this series, but this book, oh hell, I’m marrying the guy.....

I don’t want to give the storyline in this book away, I want you to experience the journey that this amazing author takes us on. The writing throughout this series has kept me intrigued, it’s kept me begging and needing more. I’ve never lost any desire nor attention, and she has the power to make me want MORE all the time. I’m sucked in when I read these books, I lock myself away because it’s those books YOU have to get to the end. And the end left me melted on the floor. I loved it!!

Read it, that’s what I’m saying. I know you’ll love Tori & Logan just as much as I did. This story has all the feels and it’ll give you that emotional ride that has you smiling, crying, yelling, laughing, and begging for more.

“Music heals. Music is everything.”

I’ve read a few books by Jayne Frost and I liked them a lot. Down to You I more than liked. So much more. This book I loved. It was the perfect rockstar romance. An emotional, angsty, and sexy story of two broken characters finding ways to heal.

From the first moment I met Logan, I knew I had to have his book. I loved him from the start. The more I learned about him and his past, the harder I fell. Tori was one of the biggest rock stars out there, until an accident happened and she lost everything. Now, she manages a lot of the big bands out there, Logan’s band being one of them.

After Logan makes a few unwise decisions, he finds himself with a chaperone on tour. And that chaperone is Tori. These two butt heads. They don’t get along well, but something is there, under the surface. There is a buzz of chemistry constantly surrounding them. You can feel it. They both know it’s there but acting on it would be a mistake. Being on an extended road trip together and getting to truly know one another, it becomes impossible to keep their distance.

What I loved most about this book was watching these two characters trust each other, open up, and start to heal. Both of them have been through so much, and they both deserve love. It wasn’t always an easy path for the two of them, but that just made the ending so much sweeter. And the way they were connected…. gah! I loved it so much.

Logan is my favorite kind of hero. Loyal, tortured, beautifully broken, with a huge heart. He is so much more than what meets the eye. Tori was also a little bit broken, but she was also a spitfire. I love fierce heroines and even though she’d been through so much, she had loads of strength. These two had a great back and forth and bickered constantly, but honestly, they brought out the best in each other.

I haven’t read an epic rockstar read in what feels like ages, so Down to You really hit the spot for me. There was nothing about it I didn’t love. The story was solid, the characters were great, and the writing fantastic. 5 stars!

“And when you asked for light, I set myself on fire.”
-Chris Cornell

When I lose myself in a rockstar romance, especially one written by my favorite rockstar writer Jayne Frost, I know I will love this story forever. I am a huge lover of music, especially 90’s grunge, which of course means we are talking Seattle. Chris Cornell is my favorite Seattle rocker ever and it only seemed fitting that I opened my review with the same quote Jayne used to open her latest rockstar romance Down To You. I have been waiting with bated breath for Logan’s story ever since I found out Jayne was busily writing this highly anticipated addition to the Sixth Street Band series and let me assure you, it did not disappoint. I say with a hundred percent honesty that this story will positively knock your socks off.

Logan… well what can I possibly say about this Rock God? He was just everything I had hoped he would be and more. Every time he winked at someone of the female persuasion and called her ‘darlin,’ I literally went weak in the knees and my body turned to mush, I loved it. While I was reading, especially during the sections from Logan’s POV, I had the Texan accent down pat in my mind. I have a real soft spot for southern American accents and the writing was so believable that I could actually imagine Logan speaking to me with his sexy Texan drawl.

Logan is such a beautifully tortured soul, who has a heart of gold, who is compassionate and always thinks about others before himself. What he shows to the outside world doesn’t even come close to his truly amazing persona. The more I read and learnt about him, the more I fell in love with him and wanted nothing more than to wrap him in cotton wool to protect him from the world.

“The man was gorgeous. He shone like the moon. A light in all the darkness that swirled around him. And there was darkness. But it didn’t consume him. Just danced along the edges, framing him in shadow.”

Logan has not had the easiest of lives in his short twenty eight years. He has been through some pretty major stuff, but you know what, his courage and bravery is nothing short of inspiring and while he may come off at times as a little rough around the edges, he truly is one of the good guys.

I actually loved Tori, aka Princess, which is what Logan would refer to her as. I had her pegged as an over the top intense control freak, but I’m not too proud to admit when I’m wrong. While Logan is absolutely a rockstar in his own right, it really was nothing compared to the fame Tori had amassed; she was on top of the fame hierarchy, born to be a star, but fate had other ideas for Tori. Unfortunately due to a tragic turn of events she is left broken and a shell of the person she once was. Her heart that once beat so loud for music is now shattered beyond recognition.

“All that righteous indignation faded, and I saw her. The real Tori. Sad and strong, and beautifully broken.”

While Tori and Logan are so different in some ways, in others they are very much the same. Both have suffered immense heartbreak and pain and have struggled through their lives thus far. To state that Logan and Tori had a rocky start to their relationship would be stating the obvious, they didn’t really see eye to eye and kind of got on each other’s nerves, but it sure did make for one sexually driven and angst ridden read.

The sexual tension between the two was palpable and even though they may have been frustrated with each other at times, they had this unique pull that was perhaps destiny’s way of making sure the stars aligned and that they have finally found their forever person. An impromptu road trip brought them together, but it may have been fates way of showing them that true love really does exist and that maybe together they can start to heal their fractured hearts; that love and music really is enough.

Music is so powerful; it can hit you hard. Music can be a constant reminder of your happiest times, your saddest times, your greatest triumph and your greatest heartache. Music has the ability to move you and say things words can never express and the thing I love most about Jayne is her love for music and her true understanding of the rockstar life. In my opinion there is no one better I can think of to write an epic rockstar romance. Her writing is flawless, her characters well developed with an intriguing backstory and a plot that just keeps you captivated right up until the very last word is read. I could not recommend Down To You enough. It is definitely not just for music lovers, but to anyone who loves being immersed in a great story that will take you on an amazing journey.

“Every story deserves a soundtrack.
And ours is epic.”

Review now posted.

When the lovely Maria✦❋Steamy Reads Blog❋✦ offered me an ARC for this book, I obviously jumped on it with barely disguised glee. (I may or may not have done the Carlton dance, you'll never know). I was a bit scared to open it up though. Jayne Frost won me over with Lost for You, the previous book, but this book was a different matter. This book is about Tori and Logan. To those of you that have been following the series, you know what a big deal this relationship is. I should have had faith in Jayne though, because she really pulled out all the stops.

description

Tori Grayson, has been through so much and yet she is still going. She is still dealing with the tragic accident that took the lives of her husband Rhenn and her bandmate and best friend Paige, six years later. Her mind and body in recovery but with constant reminders from everyone including her own body, it hasn't been easy.

"But the sound of a dream dying is louder than you might think. It starts with a crash that you feel to your bones, and then slowly takes over all time and space."

"In almost six years, I never had one solid day of happiness. There were moments, even hours, of bliss. But always, the darkness came for me. And the worst part? Nobody knew it. Or they refused to see it."

"A wave of sadness rolled in like the tide as I ran my fingers over the inscription below Rhenn's name."

description

Logan is a survivor too. And despite appearances, he feels, and he feels deeply. He may act like the quintessential rockstar but he carries guilt and scars inside him. He blames himself for so many things that were out of his control. Even after rescuing his sister and helping her with her drug addiction, he still carries all the weight of it on him. He feels undeserving of happiness. But getting closer to Tori Belle, touches something inside him.

"I couldn't buy back all the years she'd spent in foster care. Or forget that it was my fault she ended up there in the first place."

"Something shifted the minute Tori let me behind her walls. It wasn't just the grief and desperation peering from the corners that struck a chord, but her mad strength and resolve."

"The statues of all the saints mocked me as I made my way to the door, a sinner, unworthy, the remnants of my shattered heart left like tiny stones at her feet."

description

The reason I was scared to read this was because of how epic the love between Tori and Rhenn appeared in the previous book. There aren't many authors that can pull off a romantic relationship after a protagonist's other half has perished. How can the next person compete with the deceased one? Thankfully, Jayne Frost pulls it off brilliantly and without diminishing or demeaning Tori's love for Rhenn.

description

I've said before and I'll say it again, the writing was truly exceptional! I highlighted way too much and added more quotes than I probably should have but the book truly spoke to me. Especially Tori's battle with depression. What I thought would be a very unlikely pairing and more of a opposites attract kind of relationship, turned out to be the most fitting union of kindred souls.

Whether you are a fan of the series or looking to pick up a rockstar standalone, you will not regret picking this up.

READ MY REVIEW ON THE BLOG

After reading Missing From Me and Lost For You I was literally salivating for Logan's story. In the previous books he was volatile, showing violent tendencies, rough-housing with his band mates and I started wondering what had happened to him. In this book you get all the answers.

I was lucky to listen to the audio book with one of my favorite male narrators ever. Jacob Morgan has this way of slipping into a role that makes it seem effortless and absolutely natural. He becomes the person he narrates. It was my first time listening to Ava Erickson but she also did a fantastic job with Tori.
There’s a place between asleep and awake when your brain is still lost in a dream, but yet, you know you’re conscious. That’s where Rhenn lived. He owned that space in my head. That little sliver when the day was new— it belonged to him.

Tori's story has accompanied us throughout all the books in this series. The day the tour bus crashed with her and her band mates on board changed her life and took away the man she loved. Gravely injured, in a coma the chance to say goodbye to her husband was robbed from her. You know how the dead spouse trope is hard to tackle, especially when they were good people and Rhenn definitely was a good man. So to make you believe that Tori met her future in Logan without tainting Rhenn's memory is like walking a tightrope. I can report that Jayne Frost mastered this challenge brilliantly.

Logan is the kind of man you just can't help and fall in love with and feel for. His childhood was a train wreck, the multitude of tragedies and violent memories shaped him into a seemingly volatile, unreliable man. Hidden behind the front of the unfeeling, womanizing bad boy lies a character who often cares too deeply. His inability to read which only two other people know about, is a source of great frustration to him.
She was everywhere. In every face and every sound. Even the breeze held a hint of sugar and cinnamon. Sweet, like her. And so fucking bitter I could barely stand it.

This is where Jayne Frost excels - she writes unusual, multi-layered, complex characters you want to get to know, care about and fall in love with. Where Logan is TNT, Tori is the flame that lights his fuse. They just can't get along for a minute, always bickering, getting the next jab in but there is also kinship, something they see in each other that feels familiar and soon their animosities turn into understanding which turns into friendship and finally a love so big it will make your heart expand. The explosive chemistry they've had from the start translates into their sex life and let me tell you, those are some hot scenes and placed strategically without giving the impression that they serve the purpose of being fillers.

I just loved this slow burning love story. Their connection is so undeniable and while there are many moments that will give your heart a little pinch there are also lighter moments which will make you smile. At no point you will feel that Logan is Tori's consolation prize after losing Rhenn.
The man was gorgeous. He shone like the moon. A light in all the darkness that swirled around him. And there was darkness. But it didn’t consume him. Just danced along the edges, framing him in shadow.

Jayne Frost knows how to write. Her style is expressive, engaging, polished and descriptive. In every chapter you will find a line or two that will tug at your heart. Her rock star romance is some of the finest out there, it's deep and meaningful and you can see why it's her jam to write about them. With Down to You she has cemented her status on my list of all-time favorite auto-buy authors. This deeply emotional love story is my favorite in this series so far and when I think about whose book will be up next I just can't wait to get my hands on it.
Our confessions hung in the air, an overcast sky filled with tears, shattered dreams, and bittersweet memories. And a rainbow. I saw it in Tori’s eyes, every color under the sun.

While Down To You can be read as a standalone I highly recommend to start at least at Missing From Me and continue with Lost for You. It will give you a deeper understanding of the dynamics between the band members and also of Tori and Logan.

4 STARS

There was no safe zone. It was all heat and fire between us. And even my fear of burning us both to the ground wouldn’t keep me from dancing in the flames with Tori.

After a rec from a trusted book buddy, I walked into this book with two very distinct disadvantages:

1. I haven't read any other books in this series
2. I've never read this author.

And you know what? I fell in love with the story, the author's voice, and the slow burn and emotional romance.
I’m what?” Her voice was soft. Hesitant.
She was so many things. But as I took her in, only one word pushed its way past all the sludge in my head. “Beautiful.”

Every now and then you try a new to you author and find yourself wondering why on earth it took you so long to try a book of theirs. That was most definitely the case here. Because this book? It was beautiful! It was a dazzling and heart wrenching romance full of emotion and swoon! It was a breath of fresh air in a sea full of rock star romances that all sort of blend into each other. This one stood out in the best of ways and I couldn't get enough of it!
Prowling the stage, he roared into the microphone, completely at home amidst the chaos and confusion.

Stories with dead spouses always make me hesitant because the deceased is either villainized or the new love interest comes across as a consolation prize. This romance was nothing of the sort. Victoria "Tori" loved Rhenn and loved him immeasurably...until a tragic accident ripped him from her life. A shadow of the woman and beloved rockstar that she once was, Tori has been sort of floating through the years since the accident in a haze of pain and waking nightmares. The last thing she expects is to fall in love with the rising rockstar that she's essentially put on babysitting duty with after one too many fights puts him at risk of real jail time. But traveling on tour together, these two opposites attract in a slow burn of all slow burns, and I fell hard!
He’s going to wreck you. It should’ve scared me, that voice in my head. But I didn’t pay attention. Because I was already wrecked. Love had wrecked me a long time ago. And this wasn’t that.

Logan is the bad boy rocker that will steal your heart. This is not your stereotypical rockstar. Beneath the anger and uncaring attitude, is a wounded soul and a caring heart. He was such a multilayered character.

Tori was the perfect balance to Logan's intensity. Talk about your wounded characters. Tori was beyond broken. But beneath the scars lay the heart of an incredibly strong woman that soon came to realize that it is possible to love again.
The rain eased, leaving only tiny tears staining the fallen leaves and other casualties of the storm. Us … we were the casualties. Logan and me. But in that moment, I saw nothing but a shiny new world illuminated by the moon peeking from behind heavy clouds. Hope and warmth and promise spread from the place we were joined. And for the second time in my life, I fell in love.

Down To You was a rollercoaster of heart wrenching pain and swoon worthy melt-your-heart moments. It was the perfect storm of emotion and romance.
You’re my redemption, Victoria. You’re everything.

And while it was clear that there's a dynamic between all these characters that has carried over and built up throughout the series, it never took away from my enjoyment. I do think I would have loved it even more had I read the series in order, but that's entirely my fault and my habit of starting series back asswards. What can I say? I'm a rebel like that. But if you're looking for a rockstar romance that's full of depth and a story you won't be forgetting any time soon, this is a book that you need to read!

I've only read a few of the previous books in the Sixth Street Bands series but they had me pretty interested in Logan's character and getting his story. But his heroine, Tori, is someone that had me nervous since reading about MC's with dead exes isn't always my favorite so I wasn't very iffy going into this story. Yet now that I'm finished I'm actually really glad I gave it a chance because I ended up enjoying the story quite a bit.

Logan stole my heart in this book and not for the reasons I was expecting. We got to see more of his vulnerable side in his inner dialogue and I honestly thought it was the best part of the book. It made it very easy to connect with him and want to protect him. He also wasn't a giant manwhore like a lot of rockstar heroes are, which I really appreciated. Tori was it for him and there was no denying it from him.

Tori, though the one character I wasn't sure about before starting, completely won me over by the end. She wasn't 100% sure she was ready to jump into something with Logan, but her struggle with it was so realistic it seemed to make the bond between her and Logan so much stronger. With every obstacle her past her her conscious tried to put up they were able to make it through and I adored them.

Overall, this is a book I would definitely recommend reading. There are a lot of past characters featured or mentioned but this story can actually be read as a standalone without spoilers from the previous books.

In her fifth Sixth Street Bands novel, Jane Frost takes readers on a truly pleasurable, steamy and touching read with an abundance of sexy rock stars.

Ex-rock star Tori Grayson had it all. A great family and caring friends, a loving husband, a thriving career. And then a tragic accident took her friend, her husband and almost took her life. Her injuries were extensive, she survived, but now she lived her dream by helping other bands accomplish theirs with her best friend Taryn through their label, Twin Souls.

Caged lead singer, Logan Cage, is in hot water. He’s about to start a tour with his and other Twin Souls label bands, but is in need of a babysitter and who better to fill the spot than his manager. Tori isn’t exactly his arch nemesis, but the two aren’t friends either.

Just when they’re about to leave though, Logan is the only one that sees beyond her icy façade and into her terror. He offers her a lifeline and now, instead of sharing a bus full of rowdy rockers, they’re traveling alone. Reluctantly sharing secrets, stirring emotions neither was expecting and having both not want their time together to end. With Logan’s help, Tori is able to put the past behind her and move on, but can Tori do the same for him? Is their bond strong enough for him to be able to reveal all his secrets?
“As she stared at me, I understood where beautiful melodies were born. Because I wanted to compose songs for this woman. Symphonies and endless verses.”

I can’t believe I almost missed this book! But lucky me I got to read this wonderful story. I’m not just a book lover, I’m also a rock chick. I LOVE going to rock concerts and reading well written rock star romances is one of my favorite things to do.

Down To You got all the stars because it gave me all the feels and I enjoyed EVERY minute of it! Jayne Frost did an excellent job at developing Tori and Logan before forcing them to strip down and bare their souls, forcing them to face their pasts and embrace their future. And while the reader is entranced with their romance, Frost brings back the alluring secondary characters both old and new who I can’t wait to read more about.

Down To You is book #5 of the Sixth Street Bands by Jayne Frost. It’s a standalone rock star romance with a frenemies-to-lovers contemporary twist and delicious balance between swoony, touching and sexy. Told from both points of view with a happy ending.

Down to You is Jayne Frost’s fifth and final book of her Sixth Street Band series. Until now, Sean and Anna were my favorite couple, but Logan and Tori just took first place. Their story beats out all of the others by far. Jayne Frost definitely knows how to write awesome rockstar romances with heroes and heroines that you can’t help but to fall in love with.

“Music is fun, remember? Music heals. Music is everything.”

In this story both the H and h are broken in their own ways. Tori lost her husband and a best friend in a bus accident a few years ago. Instead of being in a rock band she’s now running her own business managing rock bands with her other best friend, Taryn.

Logan Cage is the lead singer of the up and coming band Caged. He also has his own demons that he’s fighting. After getting into a fight, Tori has to escort him on his concert tour. This is not appealing for either in the beginning, but soon they find that it is easier being themselves with each other than it is living up to what everyone else expects of them.

Thanks to Maria for the ARC and fantastic cover design. Going on this journey with Logan and Tori was everything. What a way to end this series! Luckily all of these books can be read as a stand alone and while I suggest reading the other books in this series too, I urge you not to wait. Grab your copy on Sept 4th and fall in love with Logan Cage. Fantastic writing Jayne Frost!

4.5 Stripping the Masks Off Stars
* * * * 1/2 Spoiler Free
Last year I discovered Jayne Frost and her Sixth Street Band Series. I was seriously taken by the authenticity and just how right on her writing was about the rock industry and this group of bands. Everything rang true because I have had first hand experience of many parts of the music and entertainment industry and I knew how real all of this felt.

I may have come to this series towards the latter entries but my not being there from the start didn't cause any concern. Frost's ability to give the sense of who each character is and how they relate to one another works.

The main focus of Down To You is the Infamous Bad Boy Logan of Caged.
This is a man who has lived the Rock & Roll image full out. There is the Logan that everyone knows and expects. He has it down to a science...Throws the smile at the willing women and takes what they will give him...works with his band mates, has a rep of being broody when writing music or learning theirs...He has his ways which everyone has gotten use to. He has dealt with family pain from an extremely early age, coloring how he perceives everything and his love for his sister can be cloaked in guilt and yet given freely to her.

He is a much more complicated man then most know. To the world, 24/7 his image is the cool, in your face, kicked back rocker with talent off the charts. But when he is alone...he has so many demons he is juggling, it wears him out. Fronting all of the time is exhausting and Logan is so tired.

There is someone else who is just as tired as Logan in the practice of fronting...Tori Grayson has been locked into this persona of Widowed Rock Star to be Worshiped. She's aware all of her close friends and past band mates see her as this suspended entity and continue to watch out for her as if she would break. It is understandable; she did survive, barely, the life-taking bus crash which changed the course of Rock and her life. She was robbed of her husband who was the Rock God of the times. She lost her sweet talented Paige, too. She was left with scars... mental and physical, metal rods holding her hip together and a continual need to be careful with her body and mind.

Tori was part of a rock group which took off from playing dives to stadiums. Her fans still see her as Belle, the Princess to the Beast, the nickname for her talented husband. They were Rock Royalty.
Now she is the one left and she carries this every day.

But Tori is not the fragile woman who might break that all around her think... She can be a Ball Buster and is working with her other soulmate, her bestie Taryn, in starting up their own management/label group of their own. They are caught up in an ugly, disgusting lawsuit with their past record/management company and in a way to keep the Six Street Bands out there in the public eye, a tour is happening.

This tour becomes the catalyst for Logan and Tori. Before this tour, both of them acted as if they were adversaries. They have this crazy history tying them together, the painful loss of those they deeply loved. Logan always called Tori Princess, not Belle, like everyone else. It was like he had a secret way of seeing her.

When Logan allows his pain to overtake him one night, he ends up having to have someone "babysit him" while on this tour. The last person he wants is Tori... because sometimes when he sees her... he feels things.

This epic Rock & Roll story has everything you could want. Rock musicians, like most artists, bring so much to their art. They are shaped by their early lives, good or bad, and all of it comes to the surface when they write their own music. The depth of substance for both Tori and Logan is beyond deep. They both have their own demons to work out and through the developing relationship they start to have, many of the ghosts rise to the surface and must be confronted.

Jayne Frost Brought It...All the love she had for her characters and her immense love of music. There was no cheat in this book... we were never cheated with a quick fix or something skimmed over. If there was pain, we felt it. If there was care, we got that too. We got it all.

If you love music and the people who create it, this series is for you. It is a must read.

Down to You was the fifth installment in the Sixth Street Band series by Jayne Frost. I received a complimentary advanced copy for an honest review.

Logan Cage was the front man for the rising Sixth Street rock band, Caged. He was gorgeous, loyal, intense, a brooder and was hiding some pretty big secrets. Logan wasn’t a believer in love and was a total playboy, never with the same girl for long.

Victoria “Tori” Grayson was a surviving member of the famous rock band, Damaged, that lost two of the four members in a tour bus accident. She was also the widow to the lead Damaged singer, Rhenn, whom she had been with since high school. After the accident, Tori and her best friend, Taryn (book four, Lost for You), formed Twin Souls, managing some of the hottest bands in the country.

Down to You was told with a dual POV. It had multiple plots running that came full circle by the end. Alongside the developing friendship and relationship, it was a journey of healing, acceptance, sorting through baggage, love and hope for a new start.

I was sucked in from the beginning. There was something about Logan. I loved everything about him. Down to You was well written and well developed, including all of the characters from the series to date. Although most of the books in the series could be read as a stand-alone, Down to You had some carry over plots that were best read in order.

Al in all, it was a captivating, emotional, sexy and entertaining read. Although the Caged portion of the series concluded with Logan, Frost had several other recurring characters from another Sixth Street band, Leveraged, that will have their own stories to continue the series. I’m not sure who’s up next, Beckett or Dylan, but I’m all in and can’t wait!

4-4.5 ⭐'s

“This is where forever lives.”

I had mixed emotions going in on this book. In the beginning, I was a big fan of Logan's but then he became a big, fat jerk and I just wasn't as invested. Well, his book certainly changed that.

Logan was everything I hoped for. I loved his bravado but I was in love with his vulnerability. And it was amazing how connected he and Tori became - both having no idea how similar things were for them.

However, I was frustrated by the closed off/erect a wall behavior that this author's Alphas are known for. Yes, it makes for some drama but it just goes on for far too long.

And Tori had a whole bag of problems much like Taryn only worse. My heart broke for what she went through but I always hate how things get diminished.

The story does end well and that epilogue was indeed a fairy tale come true.

Overall, I'm thrilled at the growth the author has exhibited. I only hope she continues to grow and improve as an author. She's definitely made a fan out of me.

This was a solid drama of second chances, faith, forgivness and hope in another tomorrow for two people, each scarred by the horrific events in their pasts...all set in a rock and roll ambient filled with interesting and twisty additional dramaturgical plotting.
But in the end of it all...
It all came down to you

...for both characters...

I was immeresed completely, I liked them both too, even though I found the extra drama not that necessary and I didnt really follow into that sphere of twist, but I liked the story in general.

I'm still overwhelmed by how beautiful the story of Logan and Tori was written. It was written in such a way that captivated me right from the beginning. It kept me turning pages and experienced an emotional roller-coaster ride of things both, Logan and Tori, have experienced in their young lives and how they are trying to cope up and move on. Unexpectedly, after all the disagreements in the past, Tori found a different person in Logan as they spend more time together on the road. Slowly, she's falling for him after all the care and attention Logan has been giving her. Tori knew Logan is a player, he's a rock god after all, will she risk her heart to someone like him? Is the feeling mutual? Do opposites really attract?

Down To You is an absolutely epic story of letting go and moving forward. Words are not enough how much I immensely enjoyed this book. When it comes to rockstar romance, no doubt Jayne Frost is definitely a go-to author for me. This is a part of a series but can be read as standalone. Highly recommended.

I have only read/listened to one other book in this series and I loved it.
So when I started reading this book I remembered what I loved the way the author can make a book in a series also feel like a standalone. I have read book 3 and 5 now, have I missed some parts that could be crucial to the overall series but I really don’t think I am.

This book from the beginning you had that hope that all will work out no matter where life took these two. That for me was the sweet moment and I thought back on it the whole time while the story went on, how this little girl wanted to make this boy feel less scared. Looking back it kind of felt like the roles were reversed when they meet up again.

Tori’s character was hella strong, she has been through some tough, tough, stuff does she lay down and let it consume her no. (the fact the author didn’t make dramalama out of it) I swear that makes the best story for me.

Logan, ahh he is going through a journey himself, what I loved is how he didn’t even have to ask, he says Tori’s face and he knew, he KNEW, what he had to do and did it. Not once did he throw it back in her face.

Their connection is undeniable you root for them so hard. I loved this book.
This will be an author I look for more and more that is for dang sure.

OMG, the narration… Ava and Jacob put so much emotion into their words and really become these characters it makes listening so addicting. Thank for a wonderful audio!

So up until now Sean had been my baby and I still love him , I mean he is Logan's best friend after all. And since his book I knew that there was so much more to Logan then all the Caged members were privy to, and this feeling only grew once I read Chase's book. Logan kept this strong asshole front where he hid his emotions and reactions behind stupid jokes but I knew there was so much more to this man then met the eye. And when we got the hints of him and Tori in Lost For You, I just knew Logan's book was bound to be my favorite and I'm really happy and proud to say I was right!! Logan is my absolute favorite (I was always a lead singer kind of girl anyway) and his book was devastatingly beautiful, beyond emotional and just outstanding.

Logan and Tori's story was everything, truly everything. Their pain jumped out of the pages. They made my heart hurt so much for them. Both with their own ghosts and demons, they had so much to work through together and on their own. Neither of them had an easy life, they both went through a tragic event that changed their lives and shaped their future. Tori's was out in the open for all the world to see and people to have an opinion and make it harder for her to move on with her life. She struggled a lot with her husband's death still, but once the heartbreak stopped clogging her vision so much, she was able to see her past for what it was and she started to see a future where she could be happy again. Logan was that future and he was the one helped her see and open her heart again to love.
Logan's was harder to deal with because no one really knew, not even himself. His eight year old brain blocked the painful memories away. He has been dealing with the effects and repercussions of his mother's death ever since that day and he had yet to deal with the pain and everything that came after that time in his life and it still affected every aspect of his every day life.

Watching these two deal with their grief and trying to work through it and the problems in their way was heart wrenching but on the other hand watching them fall in love was glorious and beautiful. Even in the middle of the grief and chaos of their rock star busy lives, they found solace in each other's arms and oh my god it was stunning. I truly loved these two together and every little detail of their story and journey. Everything came full circle for them. And at one point I did not know whether I was crying sad or happy tears because this book made me cry both.

Jayne outdid herself. The writing in Down To You was soulful and devastatingly magical. It was SO worth the wait.

This is the last in the Sixth Street Band series. While the others give us a glimpse into the lives of the players this one is about Logan. He meets a girl while a young boy going through a major trauma. He only saw her for a few minutes but those minutes lasting a life time. Years later there she is again, a widow, loosing both her husband and best friend. She herself is damaged both physically and emotionally. There love, hate relationship takes it course and we as a reader go along for the ride.I will admit this is the best of the series.

Holly Mother of Romance!

Jayne Frost just blew my socks off. Down to You is no shadow of doubt my favorite book in the Sixth Street Bands series. I knew I would love it, I knew my crash for Logan alone would do it, but I did not expect to be on pins and needles the whole time. This was as good as a contemporary romance can get. I cannot recommend this series and this book specially enough.

IT'S A MUST READ!!

I absolutely LOVED this book! Logan and Tori were beautiful together!

I will also say that the author grew with each book. After the first book I almost stopped, one because I hate short books there’s never enough depth and two because it was just ok. However I’m soooo glad I didn’t because every book just got better and BETTER! I don’t give a lot of “5 star’s” but this book is really that GOOD!!

I will definitely be reading more from this author!

PS - I would LOVE to have a book for Beckett....I really LOVED his character! *hearts*

I absolutely love it when I find a new author and immediately know I am just going to love their writing and books. I saw a lot of my blogger friends were posting about this book, so I decided I just had to have it. I am so glad that I got my hands on it - it was such an amazing surprise from an author I really knew nothing about.

First off, Down to You is part of a rock band romance series. It is actually #5 in the series, so I was a bit worried that I wouldn't know enough about the history of the band and the characters, etc... Well... because J. Frost is a rockstar herself, she was brilliant enough to write a brief synopsis about the history of the band AND include a "Line Up" of characters before even getting to the Prologue!!! I loved just knowing that little bit before diving in. And as if that wasn't enough...the book is dedicated to Chris Cornell. OMG! That's all it took for me to be convinced that I was going to love this book and this author.

This is not your typical rock band romance. This book was so surprising to me, and that's what I love about finding new authors. This story is based on the life of Logan, the lead singer of the band Caged; and his relationship with Tori "Victoria", one of the band's managers. Both Logan and Tori have endured tragedy and heartache over the years. Logan's goes back to when he was a very young child, and the flashbacks to his childhood are so real and raw that you can't help but fall for this broken bad boy.

Logan surprised me in every way. Although he comes across as brooding, cocky, a--hole, he immediately shows compassion and empathy to Tori, who he not minutes before claimed as his enemy. The sentiment behind his actions and intentions went so deep that you just knew that these two were going to share a connection that went well beyond physical chemistry.

Tori is lost in her own world of grief. She is convinced that she will never experience true love again, and shelters herself from even the thought of it. Her anxiety and panic attacks stemming from a tragic accident are heart-wrenching. The author did such a good job of describing Tori's triggers, past, and the true anxiety that she was feeling. Oh it broke my heart for her!

Together, Logan and Tori realize that although they have always pitted themselves against each other, they are truly meant to be in one another's lives. They laugh, bicker, and challenge each other. Their flirty banter is off the charts, and their physical chemistry was like an explosion waiting to happen on every page. Every touch and sweet caress between them made me swoon and sigh over their happiness with each other.

Logan & Tori share a touching history, tragic pasts, and common dreams. They push one another and the limits of love and loss. You will be oh so surprised by their story, and just want MORE of them at the end. I can't wait for the next book in the series. Well done, Jayne Frost! I am officially a fan!!

I love Jayne Frost's Sixth Street Band Series. I absolutely cannot get enough. This is Tori and Logan's book.

I don't want to give anything away about the book, but it starts off with Mac being Mac and trying to persuade Logan into going solo. Everyone has to remember Mac from the previous book.

- Yeah I was an ambitious fuck, but not completely without morals. -

Logan winds up in a little trouble....

" Are you looking for a fight?"

" No, I'm good." - Logan

" Well, I guess that's too bad, because I'm going to whoop your ass, rock star."

" Tell me, son. How bad do you want me to hurt you?" - Logan

Tori is a widow, and my heart aches so much for her. She is torn between who she was Before the accident and who she is now.

- Before, I'd always worn it loose.- On nights like tonight, it was apparent my life was divided into before and after. Before I was carefree. Fearless. Happy.
So fucking happy. And after, I was none of those things. Troubles weighed me down. And my fears, too numerous to count. Living. Dying. Grief. And the void in my heart. -

When Logan gets into trouble, he and Tori are pushed together for the tour...and it's sparks, but not the good kind.

" Come to watch the show, princess?"
" Get over yourself, Cage."

- The girl ( Tori) couldn't stand me. And the feeling was mutual. Sort of. When I wasn't thinking about wringing her neck, I did have the occasional fantasy about what she might look like naked.-

The moment that started the whole thing to me was so beautiful and so sad at the same time. Jayne Frost knows how to make you experience everything she writes...

" What are you doing?" Logan
She didn't answer. Didn't move. Just stood frozen with her face tilted to the angry sky, blinking the rain out of her eyes... " Tori, what the hell?"

" It's raining." the words trembled as they fell from her lips. " It's not supposed to rain." - Tori

This was a slow burn and I loved watching the relationship between Logan and Tori unfold. It was a really great book!

This was a beautifully written book, and I enjoyed every page. The characters were amazing and well developed and the pages and chapters flowed effortlessly.

I can't wait to read what Jayne writes next!!!
