Thomas the Tank Engine loves working on The Fat Controller's Railway and when TFC tells him on the day of the Sodor Summer Picnic that he is to go to the airport and collect the children to take them to the event, Thomas is thrilled.
All the engines wanted to work their and see the planes coming in so Thomas goes over to the big hangar, announces himself and tells them he is a tank engine. Jeremy is there in his huge hangar and he replies, 'I'm Jeremy and I'm a jet plane. Flying is the most fun in the world - I can see the whole island at once.'
Thomas felt a little put out but he manfully, or rather engine-fully, replies. 'Well I like travelling on tracks.' And he instantly decided that he never wanted to talk to a jet plane again!
Anyway he loaded up ready to go to the picnic but when he was stopped at signals Jeremy, showing off, flew straight over him and Thomas moaned, 'It's not fair! Jet Planes don't have to stop at signals.'
Eventually at the picnic everybody was having fun but Thomas was sulking over the jet plane rivalry. But with rain clouds gathering there was a threat of the picnic being washed out.
See how Thomas saves the situation, how his relationship with Jeremy changes and where the picnic is relocated to ... and ideas?

“Jeremy the Jet Plane”
The Sodor Summer picnic would have been a washed out ruin had it not been for Jeremy making room for others.
