BREAK ME DOWN is the continuation of Abraham and Myra's story and the second novel in the Breaking Trilogy.

"I wasn't the woman I once was, sheltered from reality. Through it all, one thing remained the same—I wanted Abraham."

A life outside the gates of Lancaster was never a choice I would have made on my own. Groomed into obedience, I was blind to their manipulation, their

BREAK ME DOWN: is the second book full length novel in M. Mabie's 'The Breaking' trilogy. It picks up where the first book left off.

After the way things left off in the previous book I literally couldn't wait to get my grabby hands on this as soon as it went live. After learning a few home truths about her upbringing and her family, which resulted in her taking flight in the previous book, I was unsure what state Myra would be in, but she surprised me in this book, she was actually stronger

I really really love this series so far. Love these characters, the development and the anticipation as they discover each other. This one is the typical filler book 2, but it was good nonetheless.

I do have to point out that this version I read (bought, not an ARC) was definitely not edited. It had tons of grammatical errors. Not sure if the author made a mistake and loaded the unedited version but it should be fixed. Definitely not a fan of spending my hard earned money on books that are not p

I was eagerly anticipating the release of this next part in The Breaking trilogy and it was everything I hoped it would be.

After the way things were between Abe and Myra I was worried about her vulnerable state of mind. Would she put faith in what she has learnt since she met Abe or will she revert back to what she has been conditioned to be?

Myra does a lot of soul searching in this story. She is trying to find herself, find purpose in her life away from everything she once believed to be true t

Nothing wrong with the story, it's great just the continuation of Abe and Myra's relationship.. I just can't get into it anymore I am just pissed..

Unpopular opinion alert!
Rant ahead.

Okay.. Deep breath. Hah.
I get it. I get it.
The author intends to write a trilogy that means she needs to drag the story and have more content. Absolutely unnecessary this could've been a standalone or at most a duet but I get it. Myra was confused and felt betrayed and she left.. I get it. This world was new to

I was eagerly awaiting the continuation of Abraham and Myra's story. In Break My Fall Mabie created such a detailed, layered and gasp worthy story. I had so many questions, so many feelings and the dynamic between the hero and heroine was both complex and in an odd way completely natural, especially for the circumstances they were in.

In Break Me Down it's all about Myra and I have to admit it was amazingly satisfying watching her come into her own. She's such a unique character. Her transformat

Break Me Down maintains that subtle rhythm we first got addicted to in Break My Fall. Picking up right where we left off in book 1, M. Mabie gives Myra the chance to truly shine. Sure, Abraham is going crazy not knowing what happened to her or why she suddenly disappeared after a family cook-out. But as the story progresses, it's like a whole new world has opened up for Myra and she doesn't waste a single minute on what doesn't feel right. Or who may or may not really want her.

So good!! This review is going to be short and sweet...I don’t want to give anything away since book one was a cliffhanger...and this one has a bit of a cliffy ending as well. I’ll simply say that this book was perfect and I can not wait for the finale of this trilogy!! I love Myra and Abraham!!

We got to know a lot about Abraham and who he was in the first book in this series, Break My Fall, partly because Myra had no idea who she was outside of the cult in which she’d been raised. In Break Me Down Myra’s growth arc is fantastic, she is incredibly strong and independent, especially considering her very questionable upbringing.

After the intense, heartrending tale that M. Mabie told in Break My Fall, it was good to see a little goodness in Break Me Down. At first, I was angry at Myra for

Break Me Down is the he second book in the Breaking trilogy by Ms Mabie. At the end of book one, we are left with a cliffhanger, that the author delves into from the start. We find Abe at his wits end because Myra has taken off and he has absolutely no clue where she's at. Abe has sworn to protect and watch out for her, after she leaves the religious cult his father is the head of. Blaming himself for her disappearance he's relieved to find out she's been staying with another couple whose home s ...more

Such a beautiful continuation filled with even more feels.....
After the way Break My Fall ended, I had no idea what to expect in book 2, Break me down. All I know is that I was counting the days until I could get more Abe and Myra. This book did not disappoint. Abe tugged at my heart while Myra stole the show. I adored her before, but now I love this freaking woman! She grew exponentially throughout this book.

Abe and Myra’s story has a special place in my heart, I sat and devoured this book in 2 hours because I am so invested in them. This book for me is about them both making mistakes and discovering themselves again. They date. They get to know each other and most importantly of all, they connect to each other because they want to.

Abe grows as a character, he learns to put Myra first in more than ways than I could have imagined. He finally lets her make her mistakes, make her own choices and find

This. Series. Is. Everything.

Break Me Down is book two in the Breaking Trilogy and you must read them in order. Break Me Down picks up right where Break My Fall left off. I couldn't dive into this book fast enough. I devoured it just as fast. Abe and Myra have sucked me in and I love both their characters. Seeing Myra grow made me so happy. I have been rooting for her since book one and I can't wait to see her full transformation. Also, if you thought Abe made you swoon in Break My Fall, just wa

Thank goodness M. Mabie picked up Break Me Down right where the first book in this trilogy ended because I was a mess. Much like Abraham worrying over Myra.

I think my favorite thing was seeing how much Myra grew. While there were a handful of moments where her behavior was childish, it was to be expected with the environment she grew up in. That being said, there was a lot thrown at her and some hard choices had to be made. She handled her situation, which was nothing less than messy, with grace

After book 1, I thought about Myra and Abe a lot... like A LOT. I could not wait to get my hands on book 2. I wanted to know what had happened and what turn M Mabie was taking us on.
With that being said, I am not totally sure where I stand on book 2- I am stuck between a 3 star read and a 4 star read and let me tell you why. I was a little disappointed to see the minimal turn the book took when I was expecting something EPIC with the previous books ending. To me this book took a complete 180 fro

Damn, Abe and Myra have to be one of my favorite romance novel couples. They are just perfect together and really balance each other out.

I'm happier that this book has less religion than the first one did, although there is still some. A bit less drama than the first, as well, but no less suspenseful. And by suspenseful, I mean rapidly-reading-until-they-get-back-together-again. Only then will I be happy.

And this does end on another cliffhanger, but nothing like the one at the end of last book

Break Me Down is book two in the Breaking trilogy. After finishing Break my Fall I anxiously awaited for this book to see where the heck Myra went. Well, we find out exactly where she went and why in Break Me Down. I enjoyed watching Myra discover how the world really was outside of the town she was raised. She slowly came into her own in this book. She spent most of her life being taught the way the cult lived was the right way. She had no idea how to function in the real world. She really didn ...more

M. Mabie’s Break My Fall had me hooked. So I anxiously awaited Book 2 in The Breaking Trilogy because I just had to know what happened. Break Me Down gave me what I needed and left me eager for the conclusion to Myra & Abraham’s story.

Abraham’s feelings are evident. His realizations and determination make him even more beautiful. He’s still the kind and caring man and there are also subtle changes that I took notice of.

Myra’s fear and anxiety of the unknown is heartbreaking. But her growth

I really enjoyed this! Both characters grew on me, especially Myra! She has a HUGE transformation in this book while still staying true to her character and I really enjoyed watching it unfold. Her character is so interesting due to her naivety from her upbringing. Abe also undergoes a transformation and really starts to be honest with himself and with Myra. The two seem to trade some character traits (faith and prayer) and I LOVED this writing aspect, good twist Mo! Watching them "date" and get ...more

Break Me Down is a continuation of Abraham and Myra's story in The Breaking Trilogy and I absolutely LOVED it!!! I was anxiously awaiting it and I am beyond happy with the outcome of this book.

I was thrilled that Abraham and Myra's story picked up immediately where it left off. Their character development was on point and their story was sweet and touching that had a very beautiful and romantic element to it. It's a fast paced storyline that kept me consistently engaged. I was anxiously awaiting this one after the way book 1 ended and it was just what I wanted it to be. She drags out the angst a bit (like Mo loves to do) but still gives us a great story. And Myra is the story in this one. I loved seeing her discover new things in book 1 but her growth here so much more. I’m not sayingAbe didn’t have his moments but, Myra stole the show in this one, not always doing what I expected her to. The timid girl was gone. I don’t want to spoil anything about where the s ...more

Seeing the world anew through Myra’s eyes has been refreshing! Truly has shown me how fortunate I am to have the life I have! Though I know Abraham and Myra are fictional characters my heart can’t help feeling for them! Both sheltered, and kept from the world! They were told what to think, how to act and WHO to be! That is just not an ideal situation!

Book 1 had me on edge as to where Myra had gone and in book 2 we discover that she has set out to see what the world holds for her and who she is

Let me just say, after how Break My Fall ended, I was a little desperate to know what was going to happen to Abraham and Myra. D*E*S*P*E*R*A*T*E. And I’m not gonna lie, tears were flowing before I finished chapter 1! But as always, I had faith in M. Mabie. And again, as always, she did not disappoint. Reading their next stage and how they were dealing with everything was amazing. I totally fell in love with them again. And let me just say, I love Myra but Abraham has a definite place in my heart ...more

Absolutely fell in love

Abraham and Myra have stolen my heart. Myra has grown so much from book one. To go from what she came from to living a normal modern life, I can completely understand her hesitation and her fears. But she proves that she is strong and capable and she is my heroin idol! Abraham has proven that he is willing to lay everything down and prove himself. What once he did out of, what he may have felt as, obligation now has turned into something completely different and unexpected

Picking up right where we left off in Break Me Down, Break My Fall continues the trilogy of Abe and Myra. In this installment, we get to learn more about Myra; who she is as a person and experience the world with her as she re-learns basic life. She is definitely and intriguing character! Abe is still the compassionate, protective, caring man we grew to love and in this book, we get to see his determination and patience as he does everything he can to win Myra back. Together, they learn to trust ...more

After I was horribly cliffed book 1, M.Mabie 100% redeemed herself with book 2. Myra is starting to become a independent and feisty character and I love every part of it. I feel like most books the lead female is already strong and independent but with this series it was complete opposite and I actually loved that about the female character, that she has grown within the series. Abraham is quickly becoming one of my top 10 male book characters and that’s not easy to do at all🖤 This second book w ...more

Book 2 of this trilogy is no less amazing than book 1. Finding out what happened to Myra and watching their relationship continue to grow is so satisfying after that cliffhanger of an ending to book 1. The steam picks up in this book and Myra begins to come into her own. The question left on my mind is what happens next?! Can they handle what Lancaster still has left in store for them?? Book 3 can’t get here fast enough!

Break Me Down is a great continuation of the first book and the culture that was described. It is so interesting and well written. I am again impressed with the detail and what had to be obsessive thought that went into writing these characters and making their situations/lives believable! And of course it has just the right amount of angst, build up,and heat that M. Mabie delivers so well. I cannot wait for the conclusion of this unique trilogy!

This story of Myra and Abraham drew me in since book 1 page 1 and I've been in love with these characters ever since. Myra is such a gentle creature and her faith is so important to her that leads to her to Abraham. Abraham left this faith to be his own person with his own beliefs. Fate has a different idea about how their lives should come together. You can only find out if you read the book and delve into the lives of Myra and Abraham.

The second book in this highly anticipated trilogy is here! And Mabie did not disappoint! I waited rocking back and forth for midnight to strike, and when it did I dove into Abe and Myra’s story like I was dying of thirst. And maybe I was a little from my sweaty palms gripping my kindle.
This story is everything I love. Number one being the angsty build up, and the exquisite way Mabie delivers it.
Binge read warning! Must read! Awaiting the conclusion by happily rereading the first two.

Break Me Down is the second book in The Breaking Trilogy. After reading Break My Fall I NEEDED to read Break Me Down which picks up right where the other ended. I absolutely loved this book so much! I don't normally read this kind of book but M. Mabie has a way to make me forget the religion part of this book! I can't wait for the next book!

M. Mabie lives in Illinois with her husband. She writes unconventional love stories and tries to embody "real-life romance."

She cares about politics, but will not discuss them in public. She uses the same fork at every meal, watches Wayne's World while cleaning, and lets her dog sleep on her head. She has always been a writer. In fact, she was born with a pen in her hand, which almost never happen
