A life outside the gates of Lancaster was never a choice I would have made on my own. Groomed into obedience, I was blind to their manipulation, their

BREAK ME DOWN: is the second book full length novel in M. Mabie's 'The Breaking' trilogy. It picks up where the first book left off.

After the way things left off in the previous book I literally couldn't wait to get my grabby hands on this as soon as it went live. After learning a few home truths about her upbringing and her family, which resulted in her taking flight in the previous book, I was unsure what state Myra would be in, but she surprised me in this book, she was actually

I really really love this series so far. Love these characters, the development and the anticipation as they discover each other. This one is the typical filler book 2, but it was good nonetheless.

I do have to point out that this version I read (bought, not an ARC) was definitely not edited. It had tons of grammatical errors. Not sure if the author made a mistake and loaded the unedited version but it should be fixed. Definitely not a fan of spending my hard earned money on books that are not

"I may never know why, but the animal inside me wanted Myra as bas as I wanted to be the moral man she needed."

I love that we got somewhere with this second book!! THIS is how you write a second book in a trilogy! It's always scary to jump into an unfinished trilogy not knowing when we will get the full story, but it's doubly scary not knowing if the author is just stretching thin a storyline that could be told more efficiently. Well, serious headway was made with this one.

Nothing wrong with the story, it's great just the continuation of Abe and Myra's relationship.. I just can't get into it anymore, I am just.. pissed..

Unpopular opinion alert!
Rant ahead.

Okay.. Deep breath. Hah.
I get it. I get it.
The author intends to write a trilogy that means she needs to drag the story and have more content. Absolutely unnecessary this could've been a standalone or at most a duet but I get it. Myra was confused and felt betrayed and she left.. I get it. This world was new

I was eagerly anticipating the release of this next part in The Breaking trilogy and it was everything I hoped it would be.

After the way things were between Abe and Myra I was worried about her vulnerable state of mind. Would she put faith in what she has learnt since she met Abe or will she revert back to what she has been conditioned to be?

Myra does a lot of soul searching in this story. She is trying to find herself, find purpose in her life away from everything she once believed to be true

I finally read the sequel to Break My Fall a few days ago and I really, really enjoyed it! There's just something about these books that just sucks me right in. It's different, and captivating and at times it's heartbreaking. I cannot wait to read the finale of Abraham and Myra's story!

Break Me Down is book 2 in The Breaking Trilogy. First let me state that I really enjoyed book 1. I thought the characters were great and although slow it worked with the story. Book 2 picks up where book 1 left off with Myra gone and it's also where my issues begin. Abe is out of his mind with worry and not one of his friends clue him in to where she is, they are supposed to be his family and I thought that was unacceptable. The story is boring with absolutely nothing happening, just

I was eagerly awaiting the continuation of Abraham and Myra's story. In Break My Fall Mabie created such a detailed, layered and gasp worthy story. I had so many questions, so many feelings and the dynamic between the hero and heroine was both complex and in an odd way completely natural, especially for the circumstances they were in.

In Break Me Down it's all about Myra and I have to admit it was amazingly satisfying watching her come into her own. She's such a unique character. Her

SERIOUSLY!!!??? Is the cult in the book or is it the readers convinced to buy the trilogy ....

Beyond disgusted. I cannot condone the pricing practice of authors I otherwise genuinely love. Although authors are entitled to write stories of their choice and set the prices, those choices do not come without reader/buyer reaction. I see nothing here to warrant $4 for 216 pgs of book 1 and $5 for only 157 pgs of book 2 for $9 so far, and there's another book yet to come. I don't care how good the

I was anxiously awaiting this one after the way book 1 ended and it was just what I wanted it to be. She drags out the angst a bit (like Mo loves to do) but still gives us a great story. And Myra is the story in this one. I loved seeing her discover new things in book 1 but her growth here so much more. Im not sayingAbe didnt have his moments but, Myra stole the show in this one, not always doing what I expected her to. The timid girl was gone. I dont want to spoil anything about where the ...more

soo i started this series because the blurb really intrigued me. But after the first few chapters of the first book, i grew bored with the story. it almost reads like ascript and is just too long. She could have written 1 long story instead of three books and removed a lot of the sentences. the first book is super super slow paced, the second book has unnecessary fillers as well.
I really dont understand why the author would split up this type of book that is basically super mellow and boring.

Break Me Down maintains that subtle rhythm we first got addicted to in Break My Fall. Picking up right where we left off in book 1, M. Mabie gives Myra the chance to truly shine. Sure, Abraham is going crazy not knowing what happened to her or why she suddenly disappeared after a family cook-out. But as the story progresses, it's like a whole new world has opened up for Myra and she doesn't waste a single minute on what doesn't feel right. Or who may or may not really want her.

Ah, yes. The traditional second book filler for a trilogy. A bit of a bummer that, but it was still engaging. Not a whole lot happens here. Well, I mean, a lot of internal character growth for Myra, and as a couple with Abe, but it was pretty light on the drama, and overall plot

I'm so happy with the turn this book took! From the first page we see that Abe e Myra were in a path of discovery, of growth. Mo did a great job of portraying Myra's adjustments and Abe's difficulty in understanding his faith and believes. Can't wait to read the last book in this trilogy!

We got to know a lot about Abraham and who he was in the first book in this series, Break My Fall, partly because Myra had no idea who she was outside of the cult in which shed been raised. In Break Me Down Myras growth arc is fantastic, she is incredibly strong and independent, especially considering her very questionable upbringing.

After the intense, heartrending tale that M. Mabie told in Break My Fall, it was good to see a little goodness in Break Me Down. At first, I was angry at Myra for

Break Me Down is the he second book in the Breaking trilogy by Ms Mabie. At the end of book one, we are left with a cliffhanger, that the author delves into from the start. We find Abe at his wits end because Myra has taken off and he has absolutely no clue where she's at. Abe has sworn to protect and watch out for her, after she leaves the religious cult his father is the head of. Blaming himself for her disappearance he's relieved to find out she's been staying with another couple whose home ...more

Abe continues to wreck my life with his thoughtfulness and I gladly let him.

Myra ran when she learnt the truth of her and Abe's relationship. Hurt and betrayed, she can't trust him ever again. But Abe is determined and his devotion for her is real. He'll do anything to convince her of their love. He'll bring her back and beg for forgiveness. Because she's always been and will be his girl.

So this book was a bit slow but towards the end the pace actually fit Abe and Myra's delicate relationship.

After the way Break My Fall ended, I had no idea what to expect in book 2, Break me down. All I know is that I was counting the days until I could get more Abe and Myra. This book did not disappoint. Abe tugged at my heart while Myra stole the show. I adored her before, but now I love this freaking woman! She grew exponentially throughout this book.

From the moment I laid eyes on her, shed burrowed under my skin, threaded herself into every fiber.

I finally got around to reading the second book in this trilogy. It picks up pretty much where the first one left off and continues to follow Myra as she adjusts further to her new life outside of Lancaster. Shes grateful to Abe, in a way, but now that she knows the truth of the situation she left, she isnt sure how much she should trust him. I enjoyed seeing Myras continued growth as she tried

Abe and Myras story has a special place in my heart, I sat and devoured this book in 2 hours because I am so invested in them. This book for me is about them both making mistakes and discovering themselves again. They date. They get to know each other and most importantly of all, they connect to each other because they want to.

Abe grows as a character, he learns to put Myra first in more than ways than I could have imagined. He finally lets her make her mistakes, make her own choices and find

After book 1, I thought about Myra and Abe a lot... like A LOT. I could not wait to get my hands on book 2. I wanted to know what had happened and what turn M Mabie was taking us on.
With that being said, I am not totally sure where I stand on book 2- I am stuck between a 3 star read and a 4 star read and let me tell you why. I was a little disappointed to see the minimal turn the book took when I was expecting something EPIC with the previous books ending. To me this book took a complete 180

Thank goodness M. Mabie picked up Break Me Down right where the first book in this trilogy ended because I was a mess. Much like Abraham worrying over Myra.

I think my favorite thing was seeing how much Myra grew. While there were a handful of moments where her behavior was childish, it was to be expected with the environment she grew up in. That being said, there was a lot thrown at her and some hard choices had to be made. She handled her situation, which was nothing less than messy, with grace

Break Me Down is book two in the Breaking Trilogy and you must read them in order. Break Me Down picks up right where Break My Fall left off. I couldn't dive into this book fast enough. I devoured it just as fast. Abe and Myra have sucked me in and I love both their characters. Seeing Myra grow made me so happy. I have been rooting for her since book one and I can't wait to see her full transformation. Also, if you thought Abe made you swoon in Break My Fall, just

Damn, Abe and Myra have to be one of my favorite romance novel couples. They are just perfect together and really balance each other out.

I'm happier that this book has less religion than the first one did, although there is still some. A bit less drama than the first, as well, but no less suspenseful. And by suspenseful, I mean rapidly-reading-until-they-get-back-together-again. Only then will I be happy.

And this does end on another cliffhanger, but nothing like the one at the end of last

M. Mabies Break My Fall had me hooked. So I anxiously awaited Book 2 in The Breaking Trilogy because I just had to know what happened. Break Me Down gave me what I needed and left me eager for the conclusion to Myra & Abrahams story.

Abrahams feelings are evident. His realizations and determination make him even more beautiful. Hes still the kind and caring man and there are also subtle changes that I took notice of.

Myras fear and anxiety of the unknown is heartbreaking. But her growth and

Break Me Down is book two in the Breaking trilogy. After finishing Break my Fall I anxiously awaited for this book to see where the heck Myra went. Well, we find out exactly where she went and why in Break Me Down. I enjoyed watching Myra discover how the world really was outside of the town she was raised. She slowly came into her own in this book. She spent most of her life being taught the way the cult lived was the right way. She had no idea how to function in the real world. She really didn ...more
