My favorite installment so far. It brings forth a really fascinating concept - that "feeding" per se in an act of non-con aimed at the succubus sort of 'spoils the food', that Adie can't handle energy forced on her and vomits it up like humans would a bout of food poisoning. I thought this was a nice approach alongside other societal messages snuck into the plot, like the ideas of identity as pertaining to the imps, for example. Forcing sexual contact is bad, forcing gender and identity is bad. Yesss.
Adie and Emil's scenes were soooo my favorite.
The haunted house Adie rents was an entertaining plot point - a haunting that serves like a video game task and has to be solved to quiet down the property, and resets a while after the trick in the basement is solved. Cool concept!
All in all, yes, my fave of Adie's adventures so far.

Incomplete series, I prefer the compiled books to the serial version. Super funny and definitely worth the read.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...
1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.
2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.
3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.
4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.
5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Good!!
Reading through these, I had the feel of a serial - then came to find out that they ARE serials, collected into larger tomes - which is pretty fantastic, honestly. I love the way serials read, I am just normally too impatient to peck through a dozen of them to devour the story. So this works, and as a shoe burn RH, it works well. And we’re finally getting somewhere.

The world within this series is certainly built a bit more in book 3 than it was in 1 & 2 and has managed to hold my interest enough to still continue. Quick reads with a slower plot line makes these books fly by.

Succubus Mission by L.L. Frost is the third installment in The (un)Lucky Succubus series following our FMC Adie and three demons. We continue to follow her gain of knowledge as a succubus and slowly watch as the men in her life finally begin to make some sort of actual effort.
Continuing the easy to read writing style these books are nice quick and cute reads. It's nice having the pacing stay fairly consistent between the first three books which makes the plot easy to digest and understand.
Let's Talk Logistics
some spoilers below but will be hidden
- The Romance; Within the book we are finally getting to see how the characters are all getting to get more of a feel for each other and are slowly realizing that there may be more to this contract than the contractual obligations.
- Tac, Torch and Vova; Honestly the MVPs here and they deserve an honorable mention at this point.
- The World Is Expanding; The slow build across these books has allowed for a world to slowly show itself piece by piece. I feel like within book 3 we finally have at least a general world vibe filled out and can see some more pieces falling into place.
- The Relationships; While part of me wishes we got more relationship building between all the characters, keeping in mind these are shorter books, I haven't felt like any of the relationships haven't formed unnaturally which I tend to find in a lot of books. The relationships she has with those she considers friends, family, or acquaintances feels natural and not forced.
Final Thoughts
I'm overall excited to see how this world is going to expand into book 4 and watch as these relationships continue to grow. While I have my predictions on issues that I could see coming up or happening, I am excited to see which avenue the author chooses to take when it comes to conflict.

Succubus Mission
This series just keeps getting better. Adie is on a mission for the librarian, and keeping up with her demons, and Bat-Cat, and caring for her imps and friends, and oh yes trying to run her cupcake store! These are such fun books with lots of great dialog between characters.

If you're looking for a romance and reverse harem story to read and you've got about 20 minutes, give Adie's serial a shot. This is a compilation of the serials 11 through 15. She's either the luckies succubus around or the unluckiest, you decide.
I'm in this for Adie's adventure and my massive book crush on Emil. With that said, the best part about picking up the compiled serial are the added scenes! It's like a treat for the uber fan.

Okay so I was frustrated with the second book and hoped to get the answers I was looking for in this one and I didn't, I'm just really disappointed.
It feels like all the doors that have been opened through those three books, none of them have been satisfayingly closed and yet we just keep opening new doors.
This is supposed to be a RH romance and yet, the romance is really kept to a minimal, if anything, this is much more about Adie running her bakery at this point than anything else. Which is SO FRUSTRATING cause you have not one but three perfectly good love interests all but waiting for Adie but she isn't into it. And I wouldn't mind, if after 3 books, we had a good explaination for why Adie is against relationships with the destruction demons, but to me it wasn't the case.
There are a lot of characters being introduced but none of them really have a personnality beyond their one distinguishing trait? Can we focus on the people we already have instead of giving Adie's friend 5 roommates? Why? And if they're going to be important in the future, start by closing other threads before going into witches or whatever.
And I also didn't like the clear preference Adie seemed to have towards Kellen and the lack of interaction with Tobias. I like reverse harem but I like it when it's balanced and you can have the MC getting along with one better but you have to make her interact with all of them as much as ones who antagonize her/she antagonizes, otherwise you can make it a solo romance, that's fine too.
I'm sad because I really like the world that LL created and the story is good, I'm just getting bored of feeling like nothing is really evolving, especially in the relationships. This books ends with Adie not even being able to touch Tobias, whom she wasn't close with to begin with so it isn't worth it to invest more energy when I feel like this after 3 books.

Mmmm, these men! Yummy! I’m glad this series turned out to be one that I like more and more. Even if this book is rated lower than the others. It’s mostly the way it wraps up to lead into the next book. But, the men don’t disappoint. Which, at this time is the most important part.

Emil's gaze shifts from me to the tray of muffins, then to his blue to-go cup with the yellow straw sticking out of it. "Did you wake up to make us breakfast?"
Now, I feel kind of foolish for doing it, but I stiffen my spine. "Yes, yes I did."
"Hmm." He uses one finger to drag the hot pan across the island. "I accept this method of courtship."
I think that this combination book (#3 which contains serials #11-15) flowed a lot better than book #2 did! Maybe during writing, the author knew now that they would be combining the shorts and was able to plan a bit better? Regardless of the cause, I was super thankful to be able to read this more like an actual book and less fragmented!
"Don't be like that." A warm body drapes over my back, followed by a rush of static. "We're sorry we implied you couldn't take care of your own revenge. Aren't we, guys?"
Mutters come from Emil and Tobias that don't even come close to apologies.
Some of the situations Adie ends up in are 'laugh out loud' funny. Like I probably read that whole scene with a big, weird grin on my face.
"And so, I'll keep testing you." His fingers lift to my face, then push the hair away from my ear as he leans down. Ozone and gentle warmth enfold me as he whispered, "You don't like others desiring me, but you won't claim me yourself. You put us in limbo, but never forget I'm designed to tip the scales. I'm the pebble that triggers the landslide, the spark that ignites the forest fire. You can't teeter on the edge forever. Something will give."
Tobias.... *fans face* Cataclysm demons are officially my favorite. Though fussy Emil and pesky Kellen are a close second!
We're making decent progress in the group dynamic as a whole, though I do wish I really appreciate the nuances the author gave each of the men in Adie's life, often in RH or group settings the men tend to blur together a bit. But even if the character isn't named right away in a scene, I usually know which person Adie is interacting with.

It's so easy to fly through these books and even though not even that much is happening, I just never get bored. Who could have know that a tasty first chapter and a free first e-book would bring such an amazing and lovely series in my life? And who could have thought that even after the third book, I'd still be so much into this?
I haven't read that many Succubi stories before, but I've discovered that I actually really truly like them. I like the concept of the Succubus, the monster feeding on passion and sexual energy. And I especially like the conflict a lot of those characters face when they're not that into sex or when they hate it that their sex is always about feeding and never about pleasure. Especially with Adie this works incredibly well. She's adorable and kind and all her reasons for not feeding like her family are so legit and understandable. And it's great to see her meeting the right people, showing her that there are different ways and methods, ways that fit her better.
Apart from that I like the journey of her discovering more about her powers, about her limits, about what hurts her and what makes her stronger. But I most of all love how this is a book about a supernatural creature who just wants to be normal and is constantly interrupted by supernatural drama. A lot of scenes are Adie doing normal things and because it's so abnormal for her kind it feels special to read and witness it. No matter how many scenes it are.
Combine all this with an awesome cast of side characters in all different forms, shapes, sizes and species and you get a story I just grew very attached to and very fond of. It's because of the side characters that we really get to know Adie and it's her interaction with them that builds her personality and gives us the feeling we know her and care for her. And when those side characters start caring for her too, there's no way for us to not grow fond of them.
I can't wait to dive into the next book in this series. My day off next week will be well spent, I can already assure you that.

Sadly, this series isn't holding up to the promise of the first book.
The last book made me start thinking this book was written with an author thinking on the seat of her pants. And as I started looking more, I could see that this was originally published as a serial. And it shows. Things don't hold together and there is so much that's just thrown in that isn't well resolved or thought out.
In this book, you get a ton of weird incidents that could be fairly serious and build plot, but they are either resolved really easily or left dangling. Like the haunted house that's no big deal and after Adie gets locked in there, it's easily defeated.
For a woman with protective guys, she sure is left alone to deal with fairly serious issues with little thought!
The thing that bothered me most in this book is that she gets assaulted pretty seriously. But, after the assault, she's concerned that the human she was with would be blamed because he didn't adequately protect her. (Never mind that one of her partners exposed her to this harm and didn't protect her.) So, she keeps it secret and decides that she's the one to take revenge on her attacker. She lies to her partners. This bleeds into the relationship she has with one of her guys and it eventually comes out to all of them.
I don't like the way this assault is addressed in this book. It felt flippant while also revealing some ways that trauma could affect someone's life. Adie could use some therapy... but she's clueless to the fact that this trauma was damaging.
Sadly, I'm not going to continue this series. I cannot trust the author enough.

Made especially for readers who dislike serials, Succubus on a Mission, The (un)Lucky Succubus Book 3 contains the Succubus Harem serials 11-15; The Meeting, The Assignment, The Ambush, The Search, and The Revelation.
Adie feels like she is starting to get control over her life; she's back in Dreamland, her and the guys are getting along, and the bakery is going well. But of course, things can't continue to go smoothly in her life. She's summoned to the library where the Librarian gives her a demand that cannot be ignored or refused. She's attacked by a rival demon and the tension amps up with her own demons. And she suddenly finds herself in possession of her own imps that she is now responsible for leading her to a haunted house and a cleansing with her assistant's witches. Just a typical few weeks in the life of this (un)lucky little succubus!
LL Frost is an excellent, entertaining writer. This story is well-crafted. It has great world building and backstory. The story continues to evolve with each new installment. The characters are fully developed and the sexual tension is potent. Slow burn RH. I originally read these as a serial and usually came away laughing and cursing her for her cruelty. Each one ended with the most exasperating cliffhanger. This is a much easier, much less frustrating way to read the story. If you prefer instant gratification with your stories this book is for you.

Hunted
Adie is learning to open up. A little bit. Sort of. But on a date with Kellan a new demon appears. Tasting like ash and cinders, he notices her even though Kellan tries to downplay his attention. Now she's dodging another demon who wants a succubus to drain some power to stay on Earth. And weirder still, someone is tagging her store. It isn't gangs, humans shouldn't set off her radar. Oh, and she's still got to finish this quest for the librarian. There's so much to do!
Spoilers ahead.
Trigger warnings for Adie being grabbed by this new destruction demon. He doesn't physically assault her, other than grabbing her. He does shove power through her, which is a violation and harms her. Adie has a full plate in this installment. She's now a keeper of imps. She's opened her shop and a caretaker for Torch. She's still trying to be available to siphon the guys back to functional. She's got this quest from the librarian to wrap up. She's got a chair to replace, paint to remove and a demon to dodge until it's revenge time. Busy busy. I feel so bad for Tobias. Adie didn't share her trauma and he's hurt by her reservation where before she didn't have that. I understand why she kept it to herself, it was to protect others. And for a being that's supposed to be a little more narcissistic and materialistic Adie is a fierce protector of those she cares about.

Now she's dodging another demon who wants a succubus to drain some power to stay on Earth. And weirder still, someone is tagging her store. It isn't gangs, humans shouldn't set off her radar. Oh, and she's still got to finish this quest for the librarian. There's so much to do!

Trigger warnings for Adie being grabbed by this new destruction demon. He doesn't physically assault her, other than grabbing her. He does shove power through her, which is a violation and harms her. Adie has a full plate in this installment. She's now a keeper of imps. She's opened her shop and a caretaker for Torch. She's still trying to be available to siphon the guys back to functional. She's got this quest from the librarian to wrap up. She's got a chair to replace, paint to remove and a demon to dodge until it's revenge time. Busy busy. I feel so bad for Tobias. Adie didn't share her trauma and he's hurt by her reservation where before she didn't have that. I understand why she kept it to herself, it was to protect others. And for a being that's supposed to be a little more narcissistic and materialistic Adie is a fierce protector of those she cares about.

Fun installment
Ok, now we have reached a more level and respectful place in this book! Adie and the guys are actually getting to know each other, with a little action on the side, and are becoming friends which we know will lead to more. We also see some enemies crop up in this one and we will definitely see more in the next book. The two things I have loved the most in this series is 1) the world building is just phenomenal, I love learning about other demons and their culture as it's completely different than anything I've read and 2) the secondary characters are developed really well and blend seamlessly into the story. Sure there may be some mild typos or continuity issues, but this is such a unique world. I'm really glad I stuck it out through the first two books as I realize I was struggling with my human ideals in a demon culture. So, as I read more, my perspective from the previous books has shifted and now I'm fully invested and excited. Definitely recommend at this point!

This series is just interesting enough that I'll keep going, but it falls flat in so many ways. The FMC will not get out of her own way, and we have no idea why. There's no real over-arching plot, though what happens at the end of this book is promising. There is no romance at all for this being a reverse harem, and honestly, I still don't like any of the guys. Emil is my favorite, because he's the least asshole-ish one, but he's still pretty awful. The three of them have no idea why the FMC doesn't want to do things like snuggle or have sex with them, but literally everything they do is about payments and who owes who and who's weaker/stronger... Everything in their life is a transaction, and it's gross having to read page after page of them trying to take advantage of the main character, just to have it dismissed as "that's demons for ya!"
They constantly put her down and are just downright awful to her, but then have the nerve to act surprised and hurt when she doesn't want anything serious with them, or doesn't think they even like her.

Fantastic! I loved this series so far and can't wait for more!! or for Tally's book!!
That being said I hate that it is a serial, even if it means I get little doses of it more frequently. There were also a few random inconsistencies with the story like she's wearing jeans in one scene and it changes to leggings later in the scene or person x tends to hoard when later it is person y, that kind of thing. I didn't think it took much away from the stories though. Also side note I discovered: the people she calls her cousins aren't, as far as I am aware, biologically related. It seems that all succubus/incubus are called 'cousins'.
I loved them and have read them a few times already! and I cannot wait for more. As the first one is free I definitely recommend you downloading it and trying the books yourself.

Poor Tobias. The three destructive demons are back and keeping Adie by their side. It’s a nice change of pace now that they’ve settled in. Kellen hasn’t changed, Emil has become the most caring but things with Tobias haven’t gone anywhere. A few nice little surprises in this one. Although light hearted, the dangers are real and closing in. I love the imps and torch, the bakery family. Favourite character still Emil and Tac. The sofa and Knight bits were so cute. Looking forward to the next one.

I enjoyed this continuation from book 2, & couldn't put it down. This book flowed well & had me hooked. This picks up where book 2 left off. A new reader definitely needs to start with book 1, or this won't make much sense. Adie is a character that I like. The 3 destruction demons in her RH are still kind of iffy for me, they are starting to be a little bit likable, but I think I like the secondary characters surrounding her are more of a interesting factor for me. I'll definitely read book 4 to see where Adie ends up

This was a good series. The beginning books are better than the later books. It is fun to see how Adie came to be, how she got to where she is, and to see her grow into what she will become. There are some good sex scenes and there is some fun plot lines and twists. But books 5 & 6 (other than the sex) are lacking in plot creativity and writing making the books drag along. Just wanted to warn you before you become too invested in this series on the first book.
Overall it is a good read for a slow-burn.

This series is such a great fast read. It’s definitely a slow burn and focuses more on Adeline’s actual life over the romance development with the guys which is just fine. That’s not to say that it’s nonexistent still.. in book 3 especially, individual relationships with each of the guys is actually starting and getting interesting.
This book ends in a slight “to be continued” kind of vibe instead of any sort of cliffhanger which I liked and means I will continue reading the series!

Can't wait for more
I've really fallen in love with this series. I prefer the bundles to the serials because I hate cliffhangers. Adie's story keeps getting more interesting, though I did predict one of the twists before it was revealed. I definitely recommend this series, but make sure to start with the first book (it's not a series you can read out of prder) and wait for the bundles of you prefer longer books to each serial installment.

Good continuation
We continue to follow Adie and her circle of friends as she navigates the world of business ownership and relationships. The steam level kicked up even more in this book compared to the others. The author has done a great good creating the characters and this world as well as the storyline. I am impatiently waiting for the next installment so I know what happens next!

Definetly felt progress with how Adie was when we first met her to now.
Her relationships are well on their way, although the "owing" thing is sometimes confusing and really takes the emotion out of some scenes. Cheapens them.
Landon and Julian, I don't know if I like them or not. The species is known to be selfish but wow. Sometimes I just want to reach through the book and slap some sense it them. Adie's giving nature is one of her best traits, also one of the most annoying ones.

very frustrating, people who get in their own way annoy me
I still love the feel of the books but as I said in the title, when people get in their own way and refuse to move it really annoys me. I know it’s used as a plot device but depending on how long they remain idiots as to whether I actually enjoy reading about the character again. The final page gives me good that things may change but we’ll see.

I read the first five of these in a row and this is basically a review for all of them. Reverse harem, but suffers from what annoys me in much of the genre. The men have only superficial character development. Adie should be way more angry about the machinations that set their relationships in motion, plus the fuckery that happens in the first book. The weird power dynamics are not addressed in any meaningful way. The plots meanders after the first two books or so.
