Another fabulous read from The deadman's cross series!!! I adore this series and it's amazing characters so much!!! This is Xuri and Valynda's story and it was a awesome page turning read with plenty of action, passion and emotional moments as well. The gods and villians are plenty and still going out of their way to make everyone's life hell. The deadmen are fighting baddies left and right , with Adarian Malachai in the lead !! All valynda wants is to be human again and to get revenge for xuri's ...more

This is Valynda’s and Xuri’s story. Valynda was tortured, betrayed and murdered only to be resurrected as a doll by Thorn. He transforms her into a walking, talking voodoo like being. She may be made of straw, but she remembers everything and feels even more. With her new body she joins the Sea Witch, a ship with a mission to return demons to the hell they came from.

When captured by Malachai, she is offered a chance at a real life with a real body if she would just betray those she has found as

Val was betrayed, tortured and turned into something else that was not how she was made. She lost her love, her life, her body, her trust and her soul. What else could the Gods take from her ? Not much so they give her something precious back and then bargain/blackmail her to let her keep a touch of what she wants. It's not a good bargain, it's a dark one feed on hate, lies and revenge. Finding the truth and fighting for her heart will make or break her.
I love this series of haunted pirates and

Book three in the Deadmans’s Cross Series, At Death’s Door, is a great addition. I enjoyed the characters and the other characters we have come to know and love. A well delivered story, engaging throughout this one is a keeper and I look forward to recommending and reading more

So I just read that the author had to delay the publishing of this book due to some horrific health and life issues she’s been dealing with. It’s due to come out in September of this year! Can’t wait! Please pray for the author too!

This book was awesome although I can't help but to wonder if the author put into her book some things that she experienced. I mean I remember reading on Facebook about the author experiencing poisoning and this book happens to have a character who was poisoned by a husband. While reading the book I just couldn't help but see how the author might have used that in this book. Besides that I loved this book. I sure explains some things about New Orleans. I wonder where the author is going to take t ...more

Well we can start tying loose ends with the end of this story, that brought so much to life, Abe relate it with The Chronicles of Nick, a lot of The Dark Hunter books, etc. Know we know but, where is it going to lead.
Another great performance by Holter Graham

I absolutely love her books

Once again she has done it. She goes it all together so effortlessly and makes me want more. Considering all the things that have happened in her personal life i feel so blessed that this book was released. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Actually all the book releases that she will have. Very worth reading.

The Deadman's Cross series is coming to an end and I'm sad to see these characters go. But at the same time I'm happy with the way Kenyon has closed out this series. Because lets face it.... they will show up at some point in a future book. You can't keep a Dark Hunter or Deadman down forever!

As always with Kenyon's books, I enjoyed the banter between the characters. Everyone is really a smartass and that just brings them more to life as I'm reading. I can picture Thorn, Acheron and Bane bickeri

Valynda was abused, tortured, betrayed and murdered but thanks to Thorn she has been resurrected although without a body of her own she’s transformed into a walking, talking Poppet ! Yes Vala has a body of straw and whilst her heart might not beat that doesn’t mean she doesn’t feel or remember and as a member of the crew of the Sea Witch it’s her mission to return Demons to hell. Trouble is she’s a captive of the Malachai who wants to unleash chaos and he has a bargain for Vala that could see he ...more

Sherrilyn Kenyon’s AT DEATH'S DOOR (Deadman's Cross #3) is a pirate fantasy set in her Dark-Hunter world. In this story, Valynda Moore is trapped in the body of a voodoo doll. Along with the crew of Deadmen, she is tasked with fighting demons and locking the Malachai away. Meanwhile, Nibo is trying to win back Valynda’s affection.

AT DEATH'S DOOR is an entertaining and exciting read. At times, this series reminds me of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. They both have a lot of humor and action

Every time I read a new book from the Dark-Hunters Universe, I am reminded of how much I love the series. Another great book in the Deadman's Cross series. Gotta love our pirate crew. And with each new book we get another piece of the puzzle to this series. Our story here focuses on Valynda and Nibo. Valynda as we remember is our made of straw, basically a walking talking Voodoo Doll, woman. We get to dive into her past and find out exactly what happened to her. And was it a tale. And we learn a ...more

Valynda Moore has been burned by the man she loves so bad her now straw heart wants nothing but some mean vengence. But when you seek revenge on the loa of the dead, it might not go as planned. Especially when he's your true love and his family, among other dieties, are in the game.
Sherrilyn Kenyon has never let me down with her Dark-hunters and now I have fallen in love with the Deadmen Walking Crew. She blends legend with real time fiction so well you'll question if she has a direct line to t

Valynda is more than a little cursed. A spell went haywire and she ended up trapped in a doll! Now resurrected, thanks in no small part to Thorn, she is ready to face the rest of her demons.

The Malachai are still causing havoc with their attempts at world domination. Val and crew of the Deadmen have made an oath to keep the monster locked away and they will die (again in some cases!) to honour that oath.

Val does waver more than bit. You never know if she wants her true love from one money to th

Thank you Netgalley and Tor books for the Advanced copy of At death’s door. What a blast! While this was the end of the Deadman’s Cross trilogy it is still in the Dark Hunter world and had plenty of character cameos! I highly recommend reading the first 2 books first. This story is Valynda’s and Xuri story. Valynda was killed and was brought back to life as a straw doll by Thorn. She always thought Xuri betrayed her, and now the Malachai offers her a chance of a real body...but she needs to betr ...more

The deadman’s crew of the Sea Witch hunted Demons to return them to Hell. Valynda is a member of the crew and the Malachai has risen. A beast that offers her the gift of life again if she betrays her first love Zuri. She gets further offers to be human again and not trapped in a voodoo doll but will it be a step too far to allow her hurt and rage to influence her decision.
There are plenty of demons and fights to keep the story moving with travel between different realms to entertain. If this is

At the Death's Door is a splendid pirate fantasy by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It is packed with magic, action, mythical and supernatural element. Even though in this series each book can be read as a stand-alone. I was confused in most part of the story. As if there is a missing portion from the story that I need to know before start reading.

The story itself is amazing, but the romance between Vala and Nibo is the best. And I think it is mainly what compelled me to turn to the next page. It left the rea

At Death’s Door is the third book in Sherrilyn Kenyon’s “Deadman’s Cross” series. Overall, I enjoyed this book. The character dialogue is sassy and entertaining. I enjoyed seeing my favorite characters back again as well as those featured in the Dark-Hunter series. I will warn readers who are still relatively new to Kenyon’s writing that the beginning of the book can be a bit hard to follow, especially if you are not familiar with the characters or the situations. Kenyon throws a lot at the read ...more

This book was so good! I wasn’t sure if Sherrilyn would be able to close it out so it was the final book in a trilogy knowing that she originally wanted more in this series but she did it beautifully. There were definite areas in the book where we saw the author’s real life experiences make an appearance but that just makes for better writing. I honestly loved Valynda and Nibo and I wasn’t sure I was going to. Their story was fabulous and though the book was slow in some parts it moved very quic ...more

Wasn’t a horrible read, but in comparison to the first two books of this series, it wasn’t great and didn’t really seem to have a point. The couple was pretty whinny and boring. The best parts were the dialogue between pretty much everyone else but than main couple. This book did answer some long standing questions for DH lovers but also raised a few more as well. The best part of this book was the ending.

The best book in an amazing series but not gonna lie there is a bit of finality feeling in this book!! Valenda and Nibo are funny and outrageous and the pieces that come out in this book from the dark hunter series are like WHAT!?!????!?? Eeekkkkkkk Ms. McQueen (Kenyon) has really blown this one out of the water I hope she can get back to writing so that we can keep this amazing story going!!! #Istandwithsherrilyn
