Time Travel. Pirates. Leveling Up and Crafting.

Frank was never the save-the-world type. He joined his college's Jedi dueling club to impress a chick he was into, and only stayed because he was too embarrassed to quit. He’s the type to have a crush, but the closest he’s gotten to action lately is when he stumbles upon his roommate having a hot threesome.

Damn, he'd lo

So I rather liked this book. It was interesting to watch the main character grow the way that he did and he also (surprise surpise) didn't b!tch the entire time about it being unfair that he was thrown into an area that he wasn't supposed to be *side eye to books with MC's who cry all the damn time* With that said, this book is def a litRPG, but the one thing that I like the most about this is that it definately has the back to the future vibe going to it and now they have to go and figure out h ...more

Lost Pirates - a review by Rosemary Kenny

A GameLit Harem Fantasy with a difference, Lost Pirates by Master of Hi-jinks in Time, Jamie Hawke, tells the story of Star Wars nerdy college student Frank, whose idea to get laid at last consists of joining the college's Jedi fencing club. Somewhat isolated from his Father and with his Mom no longer in the picture, Frank's main inspiration has been his kooky Granddad, who like the Professor in Back to the Future collects odd, seemingly worthless bits an

Not for me I Didn't even like the MC, expected the entire book that one of the girls will betray the idiot but magic dick wins loyalty lowering pirate intelect by 250%, I expected a pirate story with some sex as a passing afterthought not the reason of the book to exist being dumb sex group. ...more

For some people, LitRPG and/or Harem can never go wrong. To me, those basically tells me "don't have any expectations". Why? These seem to be part of the latest trend and are mass produced.

Anyways, what do you think the book would be about from the title, cover and description? "Time Travel. Pirates. Leveling Up and Crafting."? Sorta. Harem? Yeah.

Let's just tackle the description vs what I listened to so far.

Time Travel? Possibly. Unless you're a complete shut in with no internet or a phone wi

What's wrong with me and Harem LitRPG lately?
Why do I keep expecting mature scenes to imply mature plot?
Have I been spoiled by GrimDark?

I really just want a good LitRPG that actually tries to be gritty and... You know?
And I keep stumbling on these insipid teenage wet-dreams.

At least, this book gets a finish and an extra star for the first creative game interface I've seen in LitRPG so far. I wish others would also attempt to dispense with the ridiculous overlay screen.

'Nough said.

Pirate's, harems, sex, action, drama, betrayal, RPG, magic item, strange technology, sword fights, guns, cannons, explosions, pirate ships and so much more. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Jamie has done it again with a new twist on the Harem Gamelit genre. Follow Frank on his twisted jaunt through time with his grandpa's old compass. Only to find out the past isn't what it was supposed to be. Technology too advanced is showing up on the Caribbean. Now Frank and his harem of lovely ladies have to exp ...more

I think this is my last Jamie Hawke book. Time travel books are tricky at the best of times and Hawke only makes a passing attempt at setting up a functional system for it, he splices in LitRPG elements for no reason, and the female characters are as unrealistic as ever.

Juvenile

This is a teenager's wet dream. No logic, no real sexiness, just a kid thinking only about his dick. Pass.

Was good but story wise it didn't make sense.

Like the premise and time travel but the litrpg elements didn't make sense to add and the story could have literally be better without it. You have a kid with sword skills, science, and engineering skills less value when he can just get a point to gain a skill for something he could have done with his background. There was no real danger even though the beginning chapters gave such great moments. The harem too was omg out of the blue when the characte

So many plot holes

The story is good but would be EPIC if there weren't so many plot holes. Dialog and explanations to keep the story moving are barely touched on or skipped completely. Mr. Hawke keeps giving us appetizer after appetizer teasing us with an epic finale only to leave you confused as to what just happened. The adult situations are graphic, aka awesome, but seemed to be added haphazardly when he couldnt think of what to write next. I've read a lot of Hawke's books and they are all li

First book was ok. A time traveler in a pirate world on mission. He find a few interesting girls.

2nd book ruined it all. The premise of returning to his future where everything is changed is bad. And then the author throws a crap of time traveling theorys, viking, ninjas and alternative version of everything. Meanwhile the MC just blindy keeps running around like a lost and scared puppy. No character developement. They leave a few good characters behind and instead brings his younger horny grand

If gamelit is your thing then read this book

Will admit, it was the pirate, part of the title that decided me on taking a punt . The harem helped as well, glad I did.
The first few chapters should be considered as a starter in what turns out to be a great main course, just need the sweet and cheese board to follow. Hope that will not be long in being written.
Nicely paced blood, guts and humour.
What more could you want in a novel.

Time travelling pirate's.

This book was super fun to read. It pulled me in quickly and kept me engaged with the story. The women in the book have some good backstory and the MC is fun to read about.

Interesting take

Well this was not a bad story and seemed rather enjoyable. The big fight with the baddie was not quite like I figured it would be. If a 2nd book comes out I will probably read it.

Good

Loved this book and it's characters. The story is really good. Villains you want to root against and heroes you want to love. It's about a young man who goes back in history and runs into pirates. The sex in the book is also done properly. Thumbs up.

Good read.

The book was a bit fast paced, but the story is good in my opinion. Also, to those that like to skip around in books. If you want to get the best out of this book read the whole thing otherwise you will get lost.
