Opposites attract! With her contribution to this years holiday anthology, Cheryl Harper brings us the story of an over-worked hairdresser who left the big city to return to her comfortable small town roots who then starts to fall for the city guy who is only passing through. The characters and their stories are easy to become addicted to, and their love story is a sweet ride.

Beauty salon owner Beth Long should be happily helping her best friend Lisa plan her spur of the moment Christmas Eve wedd

Even though this is a standalone story, the Knotty Elves are back! The fact that they remind me of my mother and her crocheting “club” probably makes me identify with anyone who is on the other side of their…let’s call it observations. They are at it again, right from the start.

While I don’t usually enjoy re-telling of my favorite classic novel, Pride and Prejudice, I very much like Cheryl Harper’s modern adaptation. Beth and Steven are a perfectly miss-matched opposites attract couple. She’s working hard to pay off her business loan to her ex. He’s a very successful businessman with clearly a large disposable income. Beth is outgoing and friendly, Steven is awkward and abrasive. This pairing can’t work, can it.
Of course it’s Christmas and there’s a wedding in

Cheryl writes fun characters!!

I really had fun reading this book!! The characters are playful and fun. They have fun with each other, and the Knotty Elves are a bundle of good nonsense! Can’t wait for the 2019 stories!!

What will happen to two unlikely people who have to share a house during the holiday? Can they get along?
Pride and Presents by Cheryl Harper is another excellent book from the 12 Days of Heartwarming Christmas. This time we follow Beth Long as she navigates the last week before John & Lisa's wedding. She has to deal with her ex-husband being into town and having a houseguest that she hasn't met previously. The houseguest is Steven Dorsey who doesn’t make a great first impression and is an
