Useful for getting ideas for an upcoming trip. It was recommended by a friend or else I would have solely planned online, it was a nice surprise that there were stops on here that I hadn't read about elsewhere.

I like the idea of help locating the less-visited attractions, but I didn't find Pager's book easy to use. And the format is off-putting. (Lots of long, narrative paragraphs with few subject headings to break up the text or offer reader's assistance in skimming.)

Just read sections on Oahu and the Big Island...before our trip to Hawaii.
