Some interesting information. Little you cannot find elsewhere. The author ends the book on pitiful note.

The actual reports of the airship are rather a letdown, either vague “lights in the sky” that can easily be misinterpretations of astronomical bodies, or highly detailed improbable encounters that are almost certainly hoaxes. The most interesting sections are those in which Cohen discusses topics influencing the airship craze: 19th century American SF, early unsuccessful attempts at human flight, newspaper hoaxes.
