Somebody asked me to review some more of my Charlie Chaplin books, and this was the first one to spring to mind. It's kind of a biography, a filmography and a list of "known associates" all in one, beautifully illustrated and endlessly fascinating. It is a little frustrating too, because it's all in alphabetical order rather than chronological, and the temptation is to flick through till something catches your eye and just read that. Every passage left me wanting to know more. A 288 page medium sized softback published in the UK. Three quarters of it is text but there are b/w photos or illustrations throughout and some of them are marvellous.

Oh yes, I found the print a little small, so you may want your reading glasses.

Received this book as a gift since I had expressed interest in it before. This is a very interesting book to anyone who likes Chaplin's movies or enjoys the golden age of cinema. A lot of good stories and Chaplin is a true genius of the media.
