For fans of Jenny Han and Christine Riccio comes a romantic dramedy about a teen girl who stumbles upon a mysterious website that tells her everything she doesn't want to know about her future.

There's something about Truman Alexander that Skyler Finch finds incredibly annoying. Actually, several things: his voice (grating), his arrogance (total know-it-all), his debate-tea

I wanted to enjoy this story with its creative potential, promising flash forward- frenemies- slow burn romance theme. I always keen on reading YA romance with supernatural vibes BUT...

Here are my problems:

When cheating is added to the equation, I lose my enthusiasm to read a love story.

When a book has annoying, unlikable protagonists, I don’t like to read their romance story because I cannot relate with their feelings and I cannot empathize with their problems.

The things I truly impressed was t

Now & When was certainly an interesting read.

Minor unmarked spoilers ahead

When Skylar Finch's phone starts sending her notifications, seemingly from a future high school reunion, showing pictures of her and Truman Alexander, the annoying class know-it-all, romantically involved, she knows she's got to do something to keep that future from coming true. After all, her life's perfect - she's got

Skyler is a high school junior with a perfectly sweet boyfriend Eli. Everything about Eli is perfect, he's kind, considerate and orchestrates the perfect promproposal. What more can a girl want?

Then there is Truman, a boy Skyler absolutely loathes. She can't stand anything about him until something weird happens on her phone and she has a glimpse 11 years into her future which shows Skyler and Truman as married.

As events unfurl in the present, the future is altered. It reminded me a bit of Bac

Thank you Netgalley and Delacorte Press for providing an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Now & When is a cute contemporary about Skylar Finch who gets a mysterious message on her phone. The mysterious message is a glimpse into her future and she see things that she does not like. As she tries to find ways to change her future she determines that things are just getting worse. There is triggers in this book for cheating and self harm.

Thank you NetGalley, Delacorte Press and Sara Bennett Wealer for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!
First of all, let’s talk about this cover. I LOVED this cover. They say not to judge a book by it’s cover but I knew I wanted to read this just based on that. Then the synopsis totally pulled me in. I’m a sucker for a enemies-to-lovers troup. That being said I wasn’t blown away. I’ll start with the big one: unlikable protagonists are hard to read. The cheati

I loved the sound of this book based on the synopsis and the concept sounded really interesting. I was excited for the enemies-to-lovers and slow-burn romance aspects and I'm always captivated when authors play with time in their novels, so this story did have a lot of pieces that, to me, would make up a great read.
I appreciate the book overall and the general idea of what it was trying to. However, I found the characters to not be very likable. Skylar, the main character, makes bad decisions a

Skyler lived in the "now", and didn't worry too much about the future. When Skyler's cell phone showed her glimpse's of her ten year reunion, she became very concerned with acting now to prevent such things from becoming her reality. But, while trying to fix the future, she may have caused some serious problems in the present.

I said it, when I featured this book back in April as my Can't Wait Wednesday pick, I was intrigued by the premise, but I was really coming for the promised hate-to-love r

I love this idea and it's a cute read.

The plot for this was so much fun, being able to see into the future using instagram is hilarious and a good way to relate to teens right now. Skylar is a pretty relatable character as well, she's not perfect and makes mistakes. She doesn't know what she wants and is struggling to juggle school, extracurriculars, and her friends. When she sees into the future and she's married to the guy she cannot stand, of course she has to try to change the future. I enj

I was really excited to read Now & When - enemies to lovers, slow burn ya romance where the main character sees into the future, I was game!

Sadly I can’t say that I enjoyed it all that much.

And here’s why:

- Skyler is so overly dramatic and reads so much into people’s comments that it gets to a point that it’s ridiculous, even for a high schooler. She feels like everything people tell her is an attack on

I love the cover a lot... so beautiful! But the story wasn’t as good as I had hoped, but at least the cover is super pretty?

Skylar gets a glimpse of ten years in the future because of a website, showing her life heading in a different direction than she expected.

Skylar becomes super obsessed with changing her future after she sees what could happen. She sees various events can lead to different outcomes, and she just spends all of her time trying to change the future. I thought this was cool but

I was really intrigued by the description for this book, and the writing definitely sucked me in. I think I struggled mostly because of the cheating plotline and the 'romance' happening too soon. I was really looking forward to a good enemies to lovers slow burn, but they both discovered their feelings way too soon and even the banter was a little lackluster for me. It was a quick read and I wanted to see how it ended, but I found most of the characters to be bland, and the ones that I was more ...more

This was different than I expected. I didn't think the glimpses of the future would be from their 10 year high school reunion! It was kind of a shock the first time I saw that. I didn't love that Skyler and Truman cheated on Skyler's boyfriend Eli, but I wasn't very invested in any relationship so it didn't bother me as much as it could have. I liked that Skyler had an established friendgroup - I really liked Harper, but Jordan did annoy me. Overall, an enjoyable read but not quite what I though ...more

When I saw the cover reveal for this book, I was instantly drawn in. The characters looked dorky and adorable and the synopsis only upped my excitement. Enemies-to-lovers with a dash of seeing the future. It sounded like something different, but something I'd like to try! Trigger warnings: mentions of cutting, mentions of a suicide attempt, depression

I hate saying I didn't love a book. But I didn't love this book. There were a lot of aspects that didn't really work for

I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!, I absolutely loved this book. The book was about teenager named Skylar whose phone can see the future via instagram messages. She was not happy with the future especially when she learned that she was married to her nemesis Truman, so she tried to change it. I believe this book had a bit of magical realism. What happened was that every time she changed the present the future changed until she learn ...more

I have somewhat of a love / hate relationship with Sara Bennett Wealer's Now & When, which is incredibly ironic considering the fact that the book is about a hate to love romance. I took one look at the premise for this novel and just knew that I had to read it. The truth is that I can be a bit of a sucker for books like this. For me, Now & When hit some great markers that would make me absolutely fall in love with it. The unfortunate piece is that this book als

I found this to be quite the adorable book! Upfront, I will tell you that people have been and will be irked by some cheating. And without going into it too deeply, I'll be quite clear that it didn't bother me. Look, I am not saying that cheating is awesome, or the right thing to do, but humans make mistakes. And I think this book illustrated that it isn't a great plan, the character

I was incredibly intrigued by the magical realism. The main character, Skyler, can suddenly see 11 years into the future. Once she notices she ends up with Truman, a guy she can't stand, she's determined to change her fate. Except as she tries to make things better, things keep getting worse.

I really wanted to love this book, but I have mixed feelings about it. I was intrigued by its gimmick of looking into the future, but it turned out to be just a gimmick. The main character does not seem to learn any lessons in this book until the very end. She's self-absorbed and makes destructive decisions. Her love interest, Truman, is too good for her. He is smart, thoughtful, and going places. She seems to just bring him down. I appreciate what the author is trying to do here, but the book s ...more

Now & When falls into one of my favorite subgenres of romance, a specific sub-sub-genre of hate to love that is rivals falling in love. This one was not my favorite personally, but admittedly it comes on the heels of me watching Never Have I Ever and Today Tonight Tomorrow, both of which do that trope so well, leaving Now & When a smidge disappointing.

That said, I did like reading this. I rea

Now & When is a YA with a unique storyline, and I was immediately intrigued by it.

Skylar and Truman are both high school juniors, and can't stand each other. In class they heatedly discuss topics and away from the classroom the arguing continues. She is in a stable relationship with her boyfriend, and while her home life isn't perfect after her dad lost his job, things are okay. That is until she gets a random Instagram message that seemingly comes from the future, and scariest of all: In said

I wanted to read this book for two main reasons: the synopsis sounded promising and I really liked the cover. However, this book wasn’t as great as I was hoping it would be.
Skyler is just an ordinary high school girl. She loves her friends, she struggles with math class, and she’s looking forward to prom. However, Skyler has an archnemesis named Truman. As far as she’s concerned, he’s arrogant, irritating, and obnoxious. That’s wh

Now & When is a lovely YA contemporary romance with a magical twist. When Skylar's crummy cell phone starts showing her glimpses of her future, a future where she is married to her arch-nemesis, Truman Alexander, instead of her perfect boyfriend, she is naturally freaked out. She starts doing everything she can to stop that from happening, but she soon finds out that every action has consequences, and not just for her own future. I really enjoyed this book. Skyler Finch has loathed the condescending and pretentious Truman Alexander since middle school, so when her phone starts showing her glimpses of her future in the form of social media updates she is aghast to find that somehow they wind up married. I read this book in just a few hours. It was a fun adorable read. Skyler gets this link that shows her what her future looks like. Pictures of her with the boy she can't stand. The problem is Skyler is obsessed with checking this site. Every decisions she makes changes her future. Even though what she thought she didn't want for her future, she starts to realize there are worse things. Every time Skylar tries to change or help friends to better their future she makes things worse.

Skyler is perfectly happy; she's a junior in high school that has 2 best friends and a popular boyfriend who just asked her to prom in the cutest possible way. But then she receives an invitation to join a reunion website, where she sees pictures of her and her classmates, all approximately 11 years older, at their 10 year class reunion. What's particularly interesting is that she sees herself positioned VERY closely to her current nemesis in these pictures...and they're both wearing wedding rin ...more
