I have received this ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Cash was an okay romance story. I feel like I've read similar books to this that the two MC's and their love didn't really stick out to me. In it, you will meet Cash and Kara. Their little romance definitely starts off with a little bet.. but of course, things start to get serious. Especially when sex is involved - like it usually is.
Besides their growing romance, this book did have some drama. Some of it was pretty interesting and the other was predictable. However, with all this drama you see it either push or pull these two together. Of course, they are stronger together and it doesn't take long for them to figure this all out.
Overall, I enjoyed this book even if it seemed like I've read it before. It was probably because of the romance - if I am being completely honest.
Cash is part of Cassia's Power Play series, which is new to me. I can honestly say that you do not read any of the other books to read this one - I truly had not realized it was part of a series (paid no attention when I added it on Goodreads). I am now curious about the other books and will have to go back and read those.
The blurb for Cash pretty much sums up the story line for this book, but the book is more than just that. It sounds like your typical billionaire needing help out of situation they put themselves into and the aid coming from someone who's been down on luck because of a shitty decisions someone else made. However, with Cash, it's not just the story of how these two comes to the terms of the agreement but how it all pans out in the end.
I enjoyed watching Cash and Kara try to keep things platonic and only surface level deep. I never truly connected to either character, but for once, that did not hurt the story for me. I still enjoyed their antics and how these two drift into more than just the arrangement they agreed upon.
Both characters stayed true to themselves and Cassia never made them change just because they entered each other lives. The story flowed beautifully and Cassia gave us just the right amount of romance and angst. I think what I truly enjoyed the most about this story was the simplicity of their relationship - not that their story is a common one, but how it all plays out wasn't too overdramatized and just simple.
I won't lie and say that with Cassia's books, they have been hit or miss with me. But I will always give each of her books a try just because I never know what I am going to get from her stories. And with this book, I really enjoyed it.
Cash was a very fast and enjoyable read - one I would definitely recommend.
I'm fairly new to Cassia Leo and I'm loving her writing. This story was relatively fast paced with how they met up until they confessed their love to each other.
Cash is a poster child for the word Playboy with all the partying and having a new girl on his arm every night. But that all changes when he meets Kara who is sassy, smart and doesn't take crap from anyone. I loved her bravery for standing up for her father. The only problem I have with the storyline is that she forgave him rather quickly when they fought. As for the action at the end of the book??That had my heart racing and hoping nothing bad happens.
Like said I'm slowly but surely becoming a fan CL's books. Can't wait to start reading the next one.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Cash is a billionaire playboy in danger of being pushed out of his family business if he doesn't stop womanizing and partying. He's been in the tabloids so much that they consider him bad for business. Kara is a blackjack dealer desperate to make enough money to cover her father's gambling debt and healthcare bills. In a desperate move to keep his job at the company, Cash offers Kara a million dollars to pretend to be his fiancee at a board retreat in three weeks.
Told in present tense, alternating first person point of view, the book unfolds over the course about a month. Both characters are fairly well developed, each with a complex back story. Perhaps too complex because at times things are a little muddled--there's a scene where Cash does something that should've been splashed across the media per earlier in the book and it doesn't happen. Cash also has a dream of clean energy in Africa, but that's a fairly flimsy secondary plot line.
The sex is scorching.
Things that I found problematic were the occasional racial signifier like "slanted eyes," and that there are several instances where the couple semi-breaks up for a good reason. In fact, the reasons are often so good it's hard to swallow them getting back together over and over. That's the big drag on my star rating. I'm not actually sure that they belong together. And if I can't root for the couple in a romance, then I have a big problem.
FIRE!!! This book was so freaking good! Fast paced, steamy hotness, suspenseful, romantic and hilarious, it has it ALL!
Cash Westbrook has everything. As the son of Jacob Westbrook an oil Tycoon, Cash is the executive vice president of Westbrook Oil. He's known as a playboy, the most eligible bachelor, and a screw up. He's always in the tabloids, most notorious for a tragedy that happened to his ex girlfriend. Scandal follows him. After his latest mishap he's really in hot water especially with the board members of his company who want him out after his latest antics. He's promising to stop the gambling, the boozing, partying and the constant revolving door of women but it's just words. Until her. Until Kara Langley.
Kara had to grow up very quickly, life hasn't been easy for her and she's currently desperate to find a job that will give her quick cash to pay for her ailing father's gambling debts. She's drowning. Finally, Kara lands a job as blackjack dealer and that's where she meets Cash. They automatically click but Kara has her walls up. She doesn't want anything serious. No feelings.
Cash needs a fake fiancee to make his business partners take him seriously and Kara needs money for her dad's debts. They make the ultimate bet.
Kara and cash are absolutely explosive together, GAH!! I fell for them both so hard and watching them drift into love was AMAZING! And their sexy times!!!! NOT. TO. BE. MISSED! Beside Kara and Cash you will LOVE Dex and Hector, Cash's bodyguards they are EVERYTHING and I squealed when we get a cameo from a past character, AHHHH!!
You think you know what happens between these two but it's so much more and in true LEO fashion she hits us hard with the action and suspense! I couldn't put this one down, such a great read!!!
Cash is a super sexy billionaire romance that is a great fun read. Cash and Kara are great characters that are well developed and likeable. Sure Cash is a bit obnoxious at first but he quickly wins you over. The book is well written with a nice easy flow to the story. In typical billionaire romance fashion Cash finds himself in need of a fake fiance to prove to his board of directors that he's put his player ways behind him. What makes this story unique is how Cash and Kara stay true to who they are and their relationship evolves naturally from friends to lovers. This is a quick read that will keep you entertained. I highly recommend it.
Reviewed on http://bookaddict.live, This is a book had everything, a fun read with Billionaire who has lived his life with wine women and song. When he wants to be taken seriously, he decided he needs a fake fiancée. After meeting Kara at the millionaire’s gambling club and decides it’s his last night gambling. Then he asks her if she willing to be his fake fiancée to help impress the board of Westbrook Oil the company his family built. After all his antics they’re are saying he is detrimental to the Image of the company. The chemistry between Cash and Kara is of the charts, as they get to know each other their affection begins to turn into love. While Cash has been open and you can’t help but love him. Kara keeps her secrets, they certainly came back to bite her. My god Cash was wonderful to Kara, but she was determined to keep her father’s problems to her self. Cash and Kara were so good together it was wonderful story to read, with chemistry of the charts, scorching hot sex , and plenty of action in and out of the bedroom. this book had it all. One of those you start reading and before you know it your at the end. What a wonderful epilogue!
I read this in a few hours, just couldn’t put it down once it showed up on my kindle!
Cash Westbrook is a playboy billionaire with not a care in the world. Kara is a blackjack dealer that wants nothing more than to provide for her ailing father even though his reputation has tarnished hers. When they meet, sparks fly and they both see an opportunity to get something they want.
I loved this story. Cash is more than he seems, showing her a side to him that no one has seen, and Kara is such a strong woman. She gives as good as she gets, always standing up for herself. Their chemistry and banter were amazing. The secondary characters were also great. I especially liked Dex. I loved seeing how he wanted to take care of Kara.
The story is full of suspense as you wonder when Kara’s troubles are hitting the fan and how Cash is going to help her, because you just know he will. It is fast-paced, with humor, and some very steamy scenes. Definitely a great addition to the Power Players series.
Kara would do anything to pay off her dads debts. She fights to get a job as a dealer where she meets Cash. He has a proposition for her. Will she be able to keep to the rules that she puts in place or will she cave as soon as they're put to the test?
When getting to know each other they start to have real feelings but that's not allowed and it's really scary to have them. I felt that this part of the story was rushed for me. When Kara needs Cash the most will he be there for her or will he be too busy being his playboy self?
Will Cash be able to let go of his past and how he used to be to show Cara and the board members that the new Cash is the one that is here to stay?
Cash is a notorious party boy with a dark history that surrounds him. He is the heir to a mega-corporation, but his play boy ways and bad publicity are starting to wear the board down. Kara is struggling to take care of her sick father and pay his gambling debts. When Cash presents Kara with an opportunity she can't refuse, these two might find more than just a winning bet.
This was my first chance to read a Cassia Leo book, and it was enjoyable. She gave good insight into the inner thoughts and workings of the character, but I did feel like the relationship between the characters was a little rushed. Overall, a good read.
Cash is a rich playboy with a surprising passion for philanthropy given his reputation. Kara is smart, determined, loyal, feisty, and quite the expert in blackjack. Kara and Cash have instant chemistry and he loves that she challenges him. He's way too used to women falling at his feet, so Kara is a refreshing and much-needed change for him. One night, a bet, and three rules bind them together so that both can get what they want, in spite of the risks. This latest standalone in the Power Players series has drama, angst, action, and is oh so hot!
Cash was such an a fitting name for this book. This was a duo POV with Cash and Kara. This book flowed nicely and was such great chemistry! I loved how Cash went out his way to take care of Kara and even through disagreements was able to listen and fix things. Kara was open to new love even though she attempted to tell herself it was strictly business I highly recommend!
Wow, where do I start. I loved Cash from beginning to end. This is a book you can't stop reading once you start. Cash is a hot, sexy Billionaire bad boy who always seems to be in the media. Kara is a black jack dealer trying to make enough money to pay off her dads gambling debt. Cash makes Kara an offer that she can't refuse. It was suppose only be for a short time and then they go their separate ways, things don't always go the way there suppose too. These two together make a heck of a team, the connection is electric. I loved the banter between them. A must read!!!
It's ok but it has felt a bit rushed for me... One moment they are trying to arrange an agreement for a fake fiancee, and the next one they are declaring their love for each other...it's like the story is incomplete... It leaves you like "what? Did I skip a couple of chapters or something?"
Continuo a leggere roba pescata a caso nella speranza di trovare un romance che valga la pena di leggere. Purtroppo è più difficile che cercare un ago in un pagliaio.
Kara needs fast cash to pay her ailing father’s gambling debts. Dealing blackjack at the Billionaire Club is her lucky break. Until a scorching hot one-night-stand with bad boy billionaire Cash Westbrook turns into a million-dollar bet. Cash agrees to pay her father’s debts…if Kara pretends to be his fiancée.
Kara agrees to Cash’s terms, but she doesn’t expect to find herself falling for him. And when it comes to love, all bets are off.

REVIEW: CASH is the fourth instalment in Cassia Leo’s contemporary, adult POWER PLAYERS erotic, romances series. This is billionaire heir to Westbrook Oil Cash Westbrook, and Vegas Black Jack dealer Kara Langley’s story line. CASH can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalment is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Kara and Cash) CASH follows the fake engagement and building relationship between billionaire heir to Westbrook Oil Cash Westbrook, and Vegas Black Jack dealer Kara Langley. Kara Langley is desperate for money to pay her father’s medical bills when the opportunity of a lifetime finds our heroine the new Black Jack dealer at a private billionaire’s club, a club where she will meet the man with whom she will fall in love. Enter billionaire playboy and manwh*re Cash Westbrook, a man with more than his share of media disasters. When Westbrook Oil deems Cash a threat to the stability of the board, in desperation Cash sets about to clean up his image starting with a ‘fake’ fiancé in the form of Kara Langley. What ensues is the building relationship and love between Kara and Cash, and the potential fall-out as Kara’s father’s past seeks redemption for sins of the past using Kara and the people she loves in their need for retribution and repayment.
Cash is desperate to make good on the promise to clean up his image in an effort to reclaim his seat on the board but desperation meant finding the first available woman willing to play along as his fake fiancé, a move that threatens his family and his life. Kara Langley struggles to pay the mounting bills for her father’s medical treatments but sins from the past threaten any semblance of peace when Kara is targeted, and her life becomes a bargaining chip in a dangerous game on the Las Vegas strip. When Cash offers Kara one-million dollars to play his fake fiancé, Kara hopes to stay one step ahead of those trying to destroy her life.
The relationship between Kara and Cash is one of immediate attraction but Cash doesn’t do relationship, and the latest media frenzy refuses to die down as Cash’s personal life is paparazzi fodder. Kara is desperate enough to take Cash up on his offer but outlines three rules that must be obeyed in an effort to remain in control of the situation. The $ex scenes are erotic and intense
We are introduced to Cash’s parent Anne and Jacob Westbrook, as well as Kara’s father Kurt Langley, and his aide Jacie, as well as Kara’s friend Suzy. We are reintroduced to Knox Savage of Savage Security, as well as security guards Dex and Hector. The requisite evil has many faces.
CASH is a story of family, desperation, addiction and love. The premise is engaging, entertaining and enticing; the characters are colorful, energetic and charismatic; the romance is passionate and seductive. CASH is a fast paced, sizzling and animated story line.
Because of her terminally ill father and his gambling addiction, Kara is up until her eyeballs into debt. When she meets Cash Westbrook, who’s become the enfant terrible of the tabloid press ever since his girlfriend OD’d, he offers her a million dollar to pose as his fiancé after a night of steamy sex. Needless to say, Kara agrees, but when both her and Cash feelings go beyond just physical attraction and her father’s debt collectors pulling the proverbial noose around her neck tighter with each passing day, she has to decide if Cash really is a guy she can bank on in her time of need.
I liked this story well enough, but I didn’t love it. I’m not sure if this is intended as a Romantic Suspense (I don’t think it is?), but the suspense plot was weak and the bad guys didn’t really close in until after Kara and Cash had professed their love for each other. It made the plot feel muddled to the point where I found myself flicking to the Epilogue after the ‘I love you’s’ were exchanged.
There were also a couple of things that I thought would come back to bite back Cash in the ass, but it didn’t, namely what happens in the club with the sister of Cash’s nemesis. If he’s usually fodder for the paparazzi and people were filming the incident with their phones, it ought to have ended up in the papers and it definitely should’ve had some repercussions, since he was trying to clean up his act. But that axe never dropped for some reason.
Cash is the epitome of the tortured hero, but I felt his mistrust towards Kara wasn’t justified, especially since it was him approaching her after their one-night-stand, and not the other way around. He really gave off the poor-little-rich-boy vibe at certain points, and not in a good way. However, his grovel to get Kara back made me clutch my pearls in delight, so there’s that
Kara on the other hand is a really likable heroine who’s been dealt a rough hand in life, but is trying to make the most of it nonetheless. I liked her a lot.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Cash is a playboy billionaire searching to get himself out of trouble. Meeting a black jack dealer will lead him to make the bet of a lifetime. Kara has to work hard to help her father. Thanks to his past Misdeeds she now is stuck with very few options. When these two get together their chemistry is off the charts but not gonna lie.... I feel like there were some inconsistencies with the story and out of nowhere comes insta love. Decent story just a bit off leaving you scratching your head like huh? Did I miss something
This was okay for me. Not really sure that I like a heroine that's willing to sleep with someone to get insurance claims paid. I understand desperate times and all that, but it's not my cup of tea. They went really quick from a mutual using each other thing to love. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of build up to it. The writing itself flowed well, I just wasn't a huge fan of the story. This was a first for me from this author, but I would be willing to read her again. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Cash was a great 5 star read. I made the mistake of starting this at work during break and I couldn’t stop thinking about it, once I got home I devoured it. I love me some Cash and the cover adds to this great book.
I was pulled right in from the beginning with a very interesting scene with Cash. While on his way to his apartment with a fling, something happens that causes a past memory to come back and make him flip out and hurt his bodyguards. Cash is a billionaire playboy that has trouble following him everywhere, he is always in the tabloids.
When his father calls him to his office following the latest event he is told some unsettling things. He needs to make some changes or he will be out of the company. Cash panics and blurts something out that may change everything for him. Now he just has to find the one person that can help him.
Kara is a blackjack dealer who has pretty much been overshadowed by her fathers bad history with the casinos and is struggling to find a job. When she finally lands a job at the Billionaire Club she is hoping it will help her get the money she needs to help pay for her fathers medical bills.
When Cash ends up at her table sparks fly in so many ways. Kara knows who Cash is but he doesn’t know who she is. Her father was an employee of his family's company and they are refusing to give him health insurance. Could Cash be the one to help Kara? Could Kara be the one to help Cash?
There is so much more to this great read. I loved Kara and her strength and sassiness, she knew how to stand up for herself. Cash grew on me, I really felt bad for some of the things that he was blamed for and the struggles he had. When these two finally connected it was very hot and steamy. The secondary characters were great. I can’t say enough about how much I enjoyed this book. Cassia has once again pulled me right in with her writing, I can’t wait to read more from this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
I really enjoyed this book, the latest novel in the Power Player Series. Having loved the previous three novels - Chase, Luke and Knox, I knew this one would have to be fantastic as well. Cassia as always, didn’t disappoint, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
This is the story of Cash and Kara. Cash the suave, charismatic, sexy billionaire who turns heads when he walks into any room and who is trying to save his position of power within the Company. Kara, the sensitive, strong, determined and beautiful black jack dealer, who is trying to rectify her father’s past bad mistakes.
They both have pasts, they both have secrets and sadness and they both have futures to fight for and save. From the get go, I was drawn into this story, I immediately knew that we had a lot to learn about these two and enjoyed getting to know them and connect with them both over the course of reading their story. The sex was hot, the humor was spot on, the emotion had depth and the intensity was terrifying. At times, this book was so intense I found it hard to breath, you just didn’t know what was going to happen next.
One of my favourite things about this book was the inclusion of one of the main characters from one of the other books in the Power Players series. It was like meeting an old friend again.
I loved the epilogue and as usual, everything I wanted to know, I found out. Cassia really has a knack of giving her readers exactly what they need when it comes to epilogues.
Cash is a fast paced, fun, hot & sexy stand-alone in the Power Players Series. Knox, Luke, and Chase are the previous “Power Players” stories. A definite page turner! I read it in one sitting!
The man exudes sex appeal from every pore.
Kara is a blackjack dealer who is caring for her dying father. She meets Cash and the spark is there. They have so much chemistry between them. Kara decides to throw caution to the wind and have a one night stand with Cash. Cash is so alpha! He is demanding and delicious in the bedroom! Their sparks ignite into a flaming inferno!
“I told you in the bedroom I make the rules. When you’re with me, you submit.”
Cash and Kara both have secrets and trust issues. Cash makes Kara an offer that she can’t refuse. Kara is a strong heroine. Family is important to both Cash and Kara. The offer Cash makes can be the difference between life and death for her father.
Cash and Kara just meshed together. They built trust and then a relationship that just fell into place as they went along. There was even a bit of suspense and mystery thrown into their story.
I really enjoyed Cash! The pace was fast but it packed a punch! My favorite part of Cash was the epilogue. It was fantastic!!!

When this ARC landed on my Kindle, I immediately dove in, hoping that Cash would measure up to the previous Power Players books (Chase, Knox, Luke) and I was NOT disappointed. Cash is just as steamy and face-paced as I'd hoped it would be. It's positively BRIMMING with clench-your-thighs-together chemistry and leg-bouncing-in-anticipation suspense. Kara, our leading lady, is a force to be reckoned with as she struggles to erase her father's gambling debt and pay off his medical bills. With the weight of a thousand suns resting on her shoulders, she takes on the world with courage and single-minded determination to dig her family out of the hole they've been living in. Cash, our knight in shining Armani, is a billionaire playboy that men envy and women everywhere are eager to mount. But under all that poise and swagger is a heart of pure gold. When Cash and Kara come together, it is a spectacle worthy of fireworks and flashing meteors and the New York Philharmonic playing Uptown Funk in the middle of Fenway Park. Cash is a story that will have you melting into a puddle, biting your nails down to the quick, and in the end, thanking your deity of choice for the majestic awesomeness that is Cassia Leo.
Tara is a girl determined to fix her dad’s problems. That includes paying her dad’s bookie and getting him some help with his fight against cancer. It’s hard to get a dealer job when your dad has been blacklisted because he’s a card shark. Who can trust you won’t do the same? After getting turned down for the job she lays it all on the line and fights for the job she’s wanting. Because where else would she make enough money to pay the medical bills she has climbing to her ears and pay off the aggressive bookie that’s scaring the crap out of her but the Billionaire Club.
Cash has been spiraling out of control ever since his girlfriend OD’d on the beach. Now he is about to be pushed out of his job. He has to keep his job for his future plans. He has to do something and fast before everything falls apart.
On Tara’s first day she meets Cash at the blackjack table sparks fly. But Tara has a no fraternizing rule with the customers. Cash isn’t going to let that get in his way because he’s not a customer anymore. Is their chemistry going to last for a one night stand or could they see a way to fix both of their problems.
This book I couldn’t but down. It was sexy, intense and at times funny. Great read!
It was fun read from beginning to end. Billionaire playboy Cash and black jack dealer Kara. Cash is a playboy billionaire who had everything except his reputation is not helping his his company. His latest party antics is spread all over the tabloid and board members from his company is ready to oust him if he doesn't clean up his act. Cash is running out of excuses and he couldn't be ousted by the board, he tells his father he found a fiancee and they will show up at their company's gala. Kara is a blackjack dealer and trying to work at exclusive billionaire club where she would earn more money so that she could pay off his father's debt and his piling medical debt. His bookie has been threatening her and she needed to make bucks quick. When Cash was in exclusive club, he meets and Kara and entices her with plan. Kara wanted to refuse but after latest incident with Benny the bookie, she couldn't refuse. Now they need to know each other so when she shows up for the Gala, board members will believe Cash finally changed his ways and settle down. To learn each other they have to open to each other but Kara can't really tell Cash about EVERYTHING. She wants to hide and keep bookie away from him but everything changes when they show up at the GALA... It kept me up and I had to get to the end. Cash and Kara were likable and storyline moved quickly.
thanks to Netgalley and KOBO writing life for ARC in exchange for honest review.
I absolutely love everything that Cassia Leo writes! Cash is the newest book in her Power Players series. This is short and sexy read with some exciting twists and turns.
Cash is a playboy billionaire that has gotten himself into some trouble and needs to prove to the board of his company that he is ready to settle down in order to keep his job.
Kara needs to land a job as a blackjack dealer at the Billionaire Club in order to pay off the debt her dad has racked up gambling and to help pay for his medical bills. The night she meets Cash Westbrook her whole life takes a crazy unexpected turn. When he offers to pay her one million dollars to pretend to be his wife she isn't sure she can do it but she knows it will give her the money she needs to pay off her debts. What happens when these to start spending more time together? Will they continue to push each other away or will they finally admit their feelings to each other?
I loved the connection between Cash and Kara! The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. It was fun seeing some of the characters from previous books. I can't wait to see what Cassia is working on next!
