I have two rules no dates and no spending the night.
I don’t have time to manage all the complications that come with relationships. And I sure as hell have no desire for any kind of commitment.
My life is fairly uncomplicated, exactly the way I want it...until complicated literally stumbles my way. Britain Lancaster. Clumsy, plain, inexperienced, and the type of woman I te

Here's a little baby excerpt!

After driving around for a while, I head back toward town. I look at the time and it’s ten thirty. The familiar sign with a dog holding a cup of coffee is up ahead, so I decide to pull into the Coffee Hound and grab myself a snickerdoodle latte, my favorite.

Inside there are a few people in the seating area; I pay them no mind and walk up to the counter. "Hey, Jessie."

The bubbly brunette bee-bops over to the counter. "Hey, Britain. The usual?"

I nod and then pay for m

Loved everything about this book! Britain was amazing. Love her. She is a Tomboy, wears no makeup and works on cars. the 2 first encounter with Britain he was a jerk to her, but he redeemed himself very quickly.
Britain went through something traumatic when she was a little girl. I was so sad and angry for her.
Silas was amazing and loved how he cared and helped her overcome her issues.
Read it in one sitting. Couldn’t put it down.

Silas is just sweet at times, “I’d like to take you out. I normally don’t date, but since the first time I saw you, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you.” Silas likes to make sure his girl is taken care of, “take a nap.” He wraps his arms around me. “I didn’t let you sleep much last night. I’ve got emails to check, and then I’ll lie down with you.” Silas is just kept on his toes with his woman, " a moment later Britain comes back with the biggest tub of popcorn and the largest pops. Silas is a man who doesn't do attachments, he also has a darker side that not a lot of people know about. When he sees Britain Lancaster she is the complete opposite of every woman he has encountered. She has no make up, doesn't dress up and yet is a breathtaking beauty. Silas wants her and initially stays away until he can't.

Britain doesn't date, she has her own reasons for that but something about Silas awakens her and she doesn't know what to make of it. When he asks her out she decides to t

I was expecting Silas to be a total ass. So so so wrong. He was the most caring and loving guy and absolutely perfect for Britain. Yes, he made mistakes, but he realized he was wrong fast enough and fixed it fast enough too. I just adored him.

One of the things I am really not into and don't like reading about is BDSM, so when I realized that was Sila's thing I was petrified that would be the end of the book for me. But Evan Grave managed to write those scenes with a lot of care and she

Wow I am completely awe struck! I fell in love with these characters within the 1st couple of chapters. Britain is sweet, broken & strong. I loved everything about her. I was saddened by what happened to her, but as u read u realize her character is so strong, even more that she realizes. Silas is a jerk, seems like a player, but he is definitely one not to be judged by his 1st impression. He is sexy, sweet & very hot alpha caveman! I love a confident sexy caveman!! I'm a huge of fan of the author, Evan Grace's work and this story was no exception! She did an amazing job with Britain and Silas's story, From the very beginning, their story captured my attention and as the story progressed, it just sucked me in with their amazingly hot, sexy and intense chemistry, but I was also intrigued with the stories behind each character.

Britain, our girl, is a tomboy but is also the most naive, innocent, good-hearted and strong young woman, who you will discover when y

I must admit that staring out I wasn't sure how this was going to go but, Tales of a Tomboy turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It's a little different from the usual story we get from Evan Grace but it wasn't without her signature writing that can pull at your heartstrings while also leaving you in a puddle of swoon.

A little unexpected but a lot enjoyable, this is a nice start to a new series and I look forward to seeing where it goes.

I struggled while reading this book. It had its ups and downs. At first, I liked the whole "tomboy" story and it started pretty well, but everything was too fast and the characters' actions were a bit too much. I was about to DNF but it began to get better (or I just got used to the pace). It's a nice story towards the end, to me, that's the best part.

This is the first book in a new series and it is a great start. We are introduced to Britain and Silas who appear to be total opposites and not in the same league. Britain is a 24 year old virgin who had suffer something very traumatic when she was about 6 years old. The event made Britain very insecure and leery of men except for her father and brothers. And her family is also very protective of her and would do anything for her.

Silas is a software developer who has made millions off his softwa

The amazingly brilliant Evan Grace hit another story out of the park with Tales of a Tomboy: Britain, and frankly, per usual, I couldn't get enough. But let me give you just a bit of story description before all of my fan girl gushing. See there's Britain, she's a tomboy, as I'm sure you probably figured out by the title right?! She works on cars, wears no makeup, and makes no apologies about that. But what you don't know about her, is that she had something happen to her that makes getting past ...more

I received a copy of this book for a honest review.

I enjoyed this book. Britain was a pleasant surprise. I have to say I was not sure how I felt about Silas at first.

Britain is a girl who loves working on cars, is more comfortable in a pair of overhauls, doesn't ware make up and doesn't take hour to get out the door in the mornings. She has a family that loves her and brothers who will protect her no matter what. Silas well let me tell you after the first two encounters Britain had with Silas I

Young, beautiful and in her words "damaged ", Britain is quite content living in her brothers basement, looking after her nieces a few days a week then working in her dads auto shop on the other days, some might see her as being bit of a tomboy, to a degree she is, but underneath those overalls she wears she’s all woman.

5+ stars!! Evan Grace holds all the power in her hands. Once again she weaves a tale that draws us in in the very beginning, shakes us up and then spits us out feeling completely thrilled with the abuse we took. All we can say is “more, please!”

Silas had rules. He’s never wanted or needed more. Nobody’s ever hurt him, he just exists in this world exactly the way he wants to. Little does he know, he has it completely wrong. Out there is a woman so far from what he thinks he wants, he never would

Oh man, I think I have a new favorite book by this author!! I absolutely loved Britain and Silas (even though it took me a good minute to love Silas). The story flowed and Britain’s back story left me gutted. But watching her grow into the new version of herself was an absolute pleasure!

Britain is all tomboy, she wears no makeup and dresses comfortably. She is not looking for a boyfriend so it has never really bothered her what others think. Until she has a run in (twice) with the rudest guy eve

This first book in the series started off with a bang and I mean BANG! I loved this story I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. I was cooking and reading because I did not want to miss a thing. These two characters are so funny and cute at times I was swooning over them.

Silas is a great character I wish he was real. He did have his quirks which were no dating and no spending the night with women. He likes to keep his life simple work and fun and in that order. He does not like it w

Oh, Britain. She’s a girl after my own heart with the love of cars and sports (and the whole clumsy thing, I must admit). She’s been through hell and survived, but hasn’t really LIVED yet. Then she meets Silas. Silas is a jerk at first because he doesn’t know how to feel about his reaction when he first lays eyes on Britain, but he decides quickly enough to give knowing her a shot when he finds that he can’t get her out of his mind.

For a man who doesn’t do relationships, Silas somehow knows exa

Tales of a Tomboy: Britain by Evan Grace.
This book was definitely a 5 star read for me, just like all of the previous books I have read by Evan Grace.
Britain does not trust many people, especially when it comes to men. Something traumatic happened to her and it still has ahold of her. When she runs into Silas at the local coffee shop, she is shocked, to say the least, that she is drawn to him. Except he is a total jerk.
Silas has rules when it comes to relationships: keep them casual, no spendi

Britain is happy living in her brothers basement, taking care of her nieces and working in her dads auto shop a few days a week. This book reeled me in, just like Evan Grace's previous books. Britain was very relatable for me. She doesn't trust many people. She doesn't have much experience with men because of that lack of trust. I'm still waiting for my cute-meet, which for Britain involved her feeling an intense draw to Silas and him behaving like a total jerk. It seemed so fitting and I like that she didn't allow for that first impression.

I like that Britain is the opposite of what Silas normally looks for. It was inter

Just to warn you - when you first meet Silas you're not going to like him but give him a chance. I really think dual POV's helped this story tremendously. Seeing both sides of the coin helps so much in understanding them both. Britain proves you don't have to change yourself to be loved, you just need to be open for the opportunity. Silas is taught that what you want isn't always what you need. I freaking loved the epilogue! I really enjoyed this story and both of these characters. It's great to ...more

Evan Grace is one of my favourite authors. Every book she writes is unique. It's like she doesn't follow the same rinse and repeat method of writing that many other authors seem to do. And I love that.
Silas and Britain-I really have no words as to how perfect they are together. They have a similarity that connects them, and that they can both empathise. But after I read Britain's past I was both sad and angry at the same time. I think Silas is the perfect person for her to realise how magnificen

This book had a great storyline and and was interesting, it gave you insight into everyone’s lives that were involved in the book and wanting to know more about them and what’s going on with their lives, I would like to read more of the series with her bro there’s and family and Silas best friends. I enjoyed Silas character and Britain and how they got together and too it slow.
The only bit I wasn’t finding it was the BDSM, that’s just not my thing but I have to admit it wasn’t hardcore and there

Im not a fan of romance novels focused on BDSM. I was nervous when I started Britains book but Evan Grace has never failed me, so I continued on! I was pleasantly surprised, while it does have quite a few BDSM scenes it is not over the top and pretty mild. While Britain was a little awkward (with good reason) I loved Silas, even when he was a jerk. He was patient and caring with Britain even before he fully understood her. Britain is definitely not a high maintenance girl. She is a tomboy who prefers jeans to dresses and fixing cars to shopping which only makes you like her more. She is comfortable with who she is and is not about to change for anyone.

Silas is focused on his business and isn’t interested in a woman for longer than one night. He feels that Britain could be different however keeping his distance becomes impossible but their journey was not without its obstacles.

I loved these two characters. Britain

OH was this one unexpected story! I absolutely adored it but I was honestly thrown out to left field with one thing. It wasn’t that I did not like it. I adored it and how Grace wrote it into the story! The amount of research and care this author went towards this book was brilliant. It was just not what I expected but it made the story that much more complex. Britain on her own is one complex and broken character. She has been through so much but they Silas throws her for a loop. Literally and f ...more

This book is different from the typical Evan Grace book but, still has her signature elements: strong family ties, characters that capture your attention and have you rooting for them. I absolutely love Britain’s family. In my opinion, I didn’t like Silas at first but, he totally redeemed himself. This book was such a pleasure to read! Britain is not the typical Barbie heroine that we get too often. She is a tomboy through and through. Silas, at first, was tough to get a handle on. The journey these two took was the best part. Don't get me wrong. I love a happy ending just like the rest of us. The patience, understanding, and caring between the two was a nice story line. Loved the secondary characters almost as much!

Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Excellent job ❤
