About the author

John Suthers has spent his 30-year legal career in the U.S. justice system, serving as an elected district attorney, a presidentially appointed U.S. attorney, and as Colorado's attorney general. He also ran Colorado's correctional system from 1999 until 2001. Handling a wide range of cases has given him a unique perspective on how the system works and how it might be improved.

Well written and easy to read. While I don't necessarily agree with his positions on everything, it was interesting to hear his arguments.

A lot like the criminal justice books I read in grad school - My UC professors would be proud :)
